DLurkster
I have to go to the the Canadian link, always had the page opened. Last I checked, I was signed in. Like any shopping website, you get logged out. I was and I am waiting in a queue to the page. First I seen that. Also, I wasn't sure in getting this SE but why on not. If I don't get, can't say I didn't try but oh well. Heads up: Not sure if the rumor was confirmed but when you get this SE delivered to you it will only come with the game July 29th and the rest will come in September. Keep that in mind as you wait to get this or decide not to get this if you were looking forward to getting all the product at once. Quote Link to comment
Eliwood8
It says as much on the product page: I kept getting logged out and couldn't log back in, so oh well. I'm really losing interest in special editions of games with how difficult it is to simply buy them. DLurkster 1 Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
I made it thru the queue a few minutes ago. I was so enamoured by the page to buy for so long and now that I didn't see the bit I was talking about is confirmed or not. Anyways, when I made it in it still says I am logged out. Went to the main Nintendo store page, I was logged in and made it back to the product page but the same you reach item limit and near the top of page it says under maintenance. Like Ty said, keep refreshing the every so often till you make it thru, not in the queue page of course but on the page and it keeps saying reach item limit. I had practice taste of this and he message when I was trying to but the N64 controller a few weeks back. Same message of maintenance and item limit reached, Kept refreshing and I eventually got the purchase. The only difference here, I really wanted that controller this, like Eli said is troublesome (like most anticipated would be) to get something you really want to showing interest like me, not a want want. Keep trying guys! Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
I am making progress, I was able to put in cart but when I go to checkout, I am put back into a waiting room to go to the checkout?!? The fuck?!? A waiting room to checkout, I get that for going to the page but the checkout. It appears the BS maintenance is done, if able to get a little further in purchasing, I guess. Ithrak Utopia
By the time they bring the store back out of maintenance, I imagine there will be no Special Editions left. SEs are getting too ridiculous to purchase. I want to give a company more money, it shouldn't be a shitshow race to make that exchange. I like that this was announced what...24 hours in advance too. If it's going to be like this and what it has been for other SE during this generation, announce these drops much further in advance with a time. Quote Link to comment

No matter when the maintenance, there will be stock when you can get thu. To me I think those who are trying to break their way thru by unconventional means are having just as much trouble and why there will be stock when maintenance is over. That is what I believe not because it must, there was hindsight in the website but I don't think with the stock. That is a sure thing to believe. Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
I get the first tweet but providing an update for availability and not when the maintenance is over makes it sound like it is sold out. Unless the buttons I am seeing is misleading like the site broken and maintenance. Still gonna try till it says sold out, then I'll heed when Nintendo will provide update of availability. Isotope
Had they sold out, there would not be "TBD" on where the Buy button is. It would simply say "Out of Stock", or something like that. Simply put, the site wasn't ready for the demand, which is what caused the delays, queue, etc. from occurring. Nothing we can do but wait. DLurkster
How was your experience today? Tyranogre 1 Quote Link to comment
Link, the Hero of Dreams
I’m just gonna wait for the standard edition. As much as I like the series, an art book and steel case is not what I’ll have today. The only other games I’d got steel cases were for Persona 5s and Link’s Awakening, so I might be hypocritical. Tyranogre
Who could've guessed that Wario was the "true enemy" that Vandham warned us about? Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
The page for the pre-order, no longer exist. Nintendo took it down. All you see is Wario just staring back at you. Quote Link to comment
Tyranogre
Hold up: Did anyone else notice this on the My Nintendo Store page? Because I'm fairly certain that the ESRB never said anything about microtransactions when they gave their initial review a few weeks ago... Quote Link to comment

In-app purchases can just mean DLC or any one time fee, which is probably what it is. More broadly, ESA uses "in-app purchases" to keep up the appearances of tackling microtransactions and lootboxes while actually protecting corporate interests. As such, ESA is incentivized to put the label on as many games as possible so that you *don't* know what games have microtransactions. Edited June 13, 2022 by Stephen 776 Quote Link to comment
