Well, so long for the good times Melissa played her on SNL.

What exactly has he done that's worse than any other Republican president besides say a lot of stupid shit and make the TSA more annoying?

Well, from what I learned today, going off on Obama while addressing the Boy Scouts of America of all people.

As a Life Scout or so... that's just unbearable.

And I heard it came real close to the wire for the new health bill. Sorry, but I do want to live, even if something feels like a chicken running without a head. Or something to that effect.

Trump's not the only problem right now, but he's associated with stuff and people I don't agree with. That goes for his VP, staff and his judicial nominees. I simply don't agree with him or those who think he's doing a good job.

Also, there's the matter of the bill that could ruin the health of many lives. Trump trying to choke it down the Senate and Congress could make things worse.

Not to mention, the consequences of what some of his followers have done without he himself reflecting on it all. He unawarely opened a can of worms that will take a long time to recover from.

He'll doubt anything is his fault. I'm not sure if Pence would've done the same, but since he had political power, I'm sure he would've been much more professional and would've taken care of the situation a lot better. Not that I will completely defend him.

And I don't know who's the tool in this all: him or everyone else. Or maybe they'll use each other for their own needs. My... head...

This is the most comprehensive report I've found so far. Of note is that even John Fucking McCain is opposed to Trump's decision, in terms of both the way it was announced and the decision itself.

Can't get them to be reasonable about health care inclusion, but when it comes to the military, they can get real sensible, real quick. Hopefully, it can work to our advantage.

*facepalm*

I hope he means in the other interpretations of god or another higher power as well, because that seems to have come out as... insensitive.

But, I it would be weird to worship a thing that has no religious value. Still, the government needs to be TRUSTED, so maybe that's what he was going for. What an odd choice of words our... is using.

I don't think it's that. It seems like that old 'give us our old time religion' thing/what the Evangelicals want. Got the chills from reading that tweet.

He kwazy. There is such a thing as the separation of church and state.

You can never truly separate church and state as your religious beliefs shape your values which shape what you will stand for...  Separation of Church and state really means no state supported religion--in other words, the US can't say everyone has to be a Christian.

Which is why it is for the best when our leaders are more secular. It is not that they need be irreligious--merely that they understand that they are not there to be the clergy of our society.

Outbursts like his are worrisome by virtue of his position, which is intended to be secular. As an atheist and an American, why is he lumping me in with his congregation--unless he means to say that I am not an American? His faith is his business, as mine (or lack thereof) is my own.

Exactly. It pretty much says that if people are like what Trump is trying to put across, that they're infringing on other people's beliefs.

John McCain isn't worthy of an "Even John McCain...", because that gives him credit for something.  Fuck that guy.  Just got treated for brain cancer using his government paid healthcare, and makes a special trip to the Senate to vote with Republicans to throw people off of their healthcare.  He should just retire and go away with all of these other dusty shitheads.

I'm not sure what else needs to be said about the transgender people military issue.  Trump is scum, but that was obvious.  Not only creating a bigoted military policy, but hiding under the guise of "Military needs more money" (if they ever say this, they are lying), when it reality it's to garner support from hyper-religious zealots (as evidenced by a later tweet of Trump's) and to distract from the Senate healthcare vote.

God damn I want Trump impeached, but then we'd also have to impeach basically everyone in the line of succession or we'd get Pence or Ryan.  2020 can't come soon enough.

For sure. I just brought him up to further highlight the monumental fuck-up this is. It's amusing to me that trans rights are amongst the lowest of priorities to these people until military personnel are involved. Like I said, I hope it works to our advantage, but I fail to understand why that enthusiasm cannot extend to civilians.

Bleh!

Someone should remind him that this guy here was a proud marine,  WW II vet, repeatedly wounded in action in the Pacific theater.  And he went into combat wearing women's underwear.

Isn't it magnificent how John McCain is dying of brain cancer and still doesn't deserve a shred of sympathy from anyone? Truly an accomplishment.

Just like how the highest possible estimate of covering all costs for every trans recruit's gender reassignment is only a tenth of the cash the US military dumps on fucking dick pills: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/07/26/the-military-spends-five-times-as-much-on-viagra-as-it-would-on-transgender-troops-medical-care/?utm_term=.47e0f8013d3a

For bonus points, taxpayers are also paying for hundreds of millions of dollars in literal penis pumps for old men. But gosh forbid we spend a dime on tampons: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/medicare-paid-excessive-172m-for-penis-pumps-over-five-year-span-report/
