EH_STEVE
Not seeing many of y'all talking about this. Just curious how everyone is holding up and what things are like in your area? I'm on the far east coast of Canada, last province to get a confirmed case. Schools, universities are closed for the next 2 weeks. Public libraries are closed. St Patty's canceled. Public transit is only taking enough passengers that can be seated (no standing). Stores have been ransacked of TP, sanitizers, soups, and frozen veggies. My office has an optional work-from-home program going on, buuuut I'm still coming in. I live close enough and most of my coworkers have kids, so right now there's like 4 people in my section of the office. And I know I won't shit-all if I was at home. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzer1
Just saw we have over 50 cases in Michigan. Don't know if we will truly get back to normal with everything getting postponed and/or cancelled Quote Link to comment
Link, the Hero of Dreams
Coachella’s moved to the fall. Bars are closing, restaurant limit changed, and a show I did ended earlier. Other theaters are following suit till maybe mid April. Casino events and buffets closing. I worked no days last week and one day this week, because my work place’s target audience are seniors, and it’s becoming slow. I think I might get laid off eventually until the situation gets better. And as for the stores, THAT is happening. Quote Link to comment

DLurkster
Live in Ontario that's the biggest hotbed in Canada and we have the most cases in the country so far... What really sucks is that movies of all kinds are delayed with no dates of when they will release. The only movies with dates is F9 next year April and No Time to Die this November. At least for now Marvel movies still seems to be on track. On the TV side for Marvel on Disney+, those shows are delayed. These movies delayed not because theaters are crowded places but because these movies won't make money if the rest of world don't see release a few weeks from the domestic releases so it makes no sense financial wise too. Kodiack
Here in New Zealand we're isolating everyone coming into the country for two weeks, enforceable by law. Non-citizens/residents that do not follow self-isolation protocol can be deported. We have still not had any confirmed community transmission, although we've recently had some tourists do some dumb stuff. One visitor from Denmark visited Auckland, Christchurch, and Queenstown before she felt ill and was confirmed as positive. Another guy from Australia came while he was awaiting test results, went to a café, then got the message he tested positive and went back to his hotel then informed the Ministry of Health. Our government is going to be announcing a massive stimulus package today. New Zealand is set to potentially weather this exceptionally well. However, we may also feel the economic effects for much longer than other countries, as there's a possibility that we may be able to avoid community transmission until a vaccine is developed. It's certainly crazy and unprecedented times. I've been working from home for several weeks already, and I'm set to do this indefinitely at this rate. I'm throwing all of the extra money I'm saving into the stock market in the meantime, dollar-cost averaging as everything goes down. Quote Link to comment

Yes, they did the same in my city to prevent the spread so.... 1 minute ago, Fuzzer1 said: At least they're doing carryout services right? We can still do delivery options. Quote Link to comment
DranSeasona
I am in the same boat as @DLurkster geographically speaking. I get to work from home and my wife’s family helps with the kids while I do that. My wife is recently unemployed so she is around to help, too. We are all in all hanging in there, but not anticipating this to end anytime soon. Quote Link to comment
bel
I'm amazed they haven't closed the bars for St. Patrick's Day. Quote Link to comment
Laclipsey
The governor of my state has closed down schools for the next six weeks, so I'm out of a job until then. He also just closed down restaurants and bars except for takeout and delivery. Wal-mart just got a shipment of TP in this morning, and there were two employees standing at either end of the aisle freaking guarding the stuff. And I'm beginning a fresh round of self-quarantine because I may have been exposed yesterday. Things are bad up here in the Northwest. Quote Link to comment
Kodiack
Three new cases announced in NZ today. We're up to eleven now. Quote Link to comment
purple_beard
My town and the town right outside the city limits declared states of emergency today... This thing is getting out of control. I am putting a Coronavirus playlist together.... Quote Link to comment
