This is the first one I'm actually interested in.

Buuuut I'm not picking it up, at least not yet.

Yeah.... I kind of need to taste it too, to see if I want it.  I kind of wanted to get it and the green JCs @ BBY but.... with everything going on right now its a little too much to put into something I am not 100% on.

I didn't play the 2nd one bought the first one on 3DS, forget where I am in that.

As for the 3rd one, I bought and interested in what I played so far for about 2hrs. Can't wait to do multiplayer.

Really enjoying the game so far, haven't had to resort to looking up any solutions when I stop to just think over how to get past an obstacle(currently am stumped by something but I will get past eventually). If enough have the game we should do some co-op.

I did some co-op when I got the the B2 level. Like you can do the area yourself but it is a lot more fun with a pair not more manageable per se.

I'm really liking the variety of floor, so far my fave is the 7th floor Garden Suites, love everything from layout to the boss. I thought I loved the floor before with castle theme but maybe my opinion will change once again once I get further

If Prof Egad tells me to hurry up one more time....

You know you can turn that off, I think? Unless that is the hints but him blabbering is only the beginning. Since past that part he hasn't blab like that but I turned off hints since then.

I'm not gonna lie I looked up the first 30 seconds of a video of something because I looked up the hotline thing in the game on theproduction floor. I knew I needed fire for something just didn't see the the connections to get the fire I needed. I had to go through 3 rooms to following a plan to get it. It's one thing to be stumped on something the room but I feel that was the exception when key to getting pass is not in the room your in but in several rooms to get the solution. That is the only time I had to look up.

@purple_beard Thank you for the GameXplain video, it has helped me with the controls a bit!

So I'm not too far into the game. The last thing I did of importance was getting Gooigi! Don't know if that's a spoiler since it's pretty early. It's one of the games I'm doing a playthrough of on my channel. It'll be randomly updated whenever I upload more of it. So if you want to see any of how I'm playing it, you can check it out in the tab below.

Spoiler

My main goal is to hit the 30 minute ballpark length (30-39 min) per video. Also these will be night time uploads to fit the atmosphere of the game. This one is a little over because of the introductory seqence but the first part ends before finding E. Gadd's frame.

I'm not going to include any spoilers in my thumbnails. The video names might hint at what happens but I'll try to keep it clever and vague!

Got the game for Christmas.  Up to what's next after beating the police ghost.  I think I'm going to that option for the controls outlined in that gx video.

Graphics, sound, and animation are very good.  I like the use of your gear for puzzle solving.  Gooigi is pretty cool with his abilities( I still think he should have been an amiibo).  I really do like exploring for hidden rooms for cash and gems.  I think the way you use your toolset to perform exploration via working with the environment is fairly balanced on ideas and once you see something work you go back to it kind of like Zelda dungeon puzzle solving.

So, do the Boos randomly generate?

Reason I ask is I was watching a video on how to do something and while I completed that  I noticed the video kept going to go for Boo pick ups.... so I thought well I'll do those too and I went to the areas the person went to and no boos where they found them.  I tried two back to back spots where they found them post boss fight and didn't have them appear in the locations they showed.

As far as I know, you have to leave the floor after the boss battle then go back for the Boo to appear. It might not apply to all floors though since I still have a bunch to finish.

He has to add boo functionality for you, once he upgrades you, theres one per floor at least.

I had one appear in the unnatural history museum level, but that was after the deal that ends with the cat.  In the movie studio section I watched the video on, one didn't appear where they showed.

I just got to the Club.  The level design, the graphics, and music in this game are all top notch.

I think as of right now my top rooms are Pirate Ship, Casino, and "Greenhouse."  Honorable mention to the Boiler works room for its intricacy and puzzle solving.  Another honorable mention to the desert room--cool boss and cool setting.

Grrr.  I found the hotel boss to be annoying as hell......

Grrr - 2, King Boo, while I don't find hard necessarily, I found the controls to aiming those bombs to be really off and thus no bombs actually hit him and I'm running around costing myself valuable life.  I went back to that controller change video I posted way earlier in the thread and hopefully that offers the control I want.
