3DS/Wii U eShops losing the ability to add funds via credit card in Sept.

I can understand the Wii U eShop, but the 3DS eShop? I feel it's way too soon.

So if it happening there it will soon come to the rest of eShop across Nintendo region.

But the thing is that the eShop funds are shared across all three platforms, regardless of how they are added. I'm going to side with the tweet that said something about the upcoming EU regulations as the reason for the 3DS and WiiU's ability to add funds being removed.

Couldn't you just buy yourself a gift card from Target and redeem it?

While making my post I was trying to remember if the eShop account wallets are linked and they are. I haven't used the other 2 in like maybe 6 months.
