DLurkster
Hmm..... why hasn't anyone posted here yet?!? Do we still hate Pokemon? ------ With that out of the way, I'm looking forward this Direct. I'm actually interested in this Pokemon Masters. I wonder besides some gamplay detail, we'll get a launch window or even beta testing. Besides Mario Kart Tour, there's been not Nintendo mobile game to do that. Would this game test well for beta for that matter. Either way, I'll be watching. Quote Link to comment

I'm just sayin'. Anyway, not really gonna hang around for this direct but I'll catch up on the details later. I'm curious how it will play, anyway. Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, pretty much all of the treads I've made on Nintendo's mobile games have gotten few replies, with the exception of PKMN GO. PKMN GO and FE Heroes (not my thread) are the only mobile game threads that are still regularly active. I'm curious as well as to how it will play. Though, I'm not sure if I'll download or not. As of now, I'm more interested in Dr. Mario World (July 10th) and Mario Kart Tour (Summer 2019). Edited June 25, 2019 by alienboyva Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment

That said, I don't have any real interest in this as my phone can't handle any other apps. Quote Link to comment

(tho, I'm more likely to play that in passing) I hardly touch Super Mario Run as well. I'm looking forward to Mario Kart Tour, never will and be interested in Tetris game anything like them. They literally give me a headache after while so that Dr. Mario World game has no interest as well. Same goes for AC mobile game. I understand mobile games are not popular here but I would of though any mobile game with Pokemon would garner more response then the other because of how popular it is for the better or the worst. What if Niantic says they aren't bring all the gen to Pokemon Go!, would ppl riot or on the other hand if they do. They will be heroes. I kinda wanna see the response. Quote Link to comment
EH_STEVE
Starts in 4 Watch it here: Quote Link to comment
EH_STEVE
Well that was certainly short, and the intro took up most of the 5 minutes. Anyways, it's free-to-start and planned for a Summer 2019 release. Has some pretty interesting concepts to it. Here's an article on it, which actually has more info than the video: https://nintendoeverything.com/new-details-revealed-for-pokemon-masters/ Edited June 27, 2019 by EH_STEVE Quote Link to comment
Tyranogre
Kris and Lyra both canonically exist now. Quote Link to comment
alienboyva
For a sec. I thought I was watching an episode of the anime. This game actually looks pretty cool, but still, I'm not sure if I'll download it. I just hope the microtransactions don't get out of hand. Want, potions, revives, status healing items, etc.? PAY UP, SON!! $$$ BTW, I since they didn't mention how you obtain PKMN, I assume you obtain them via gacha mechanics...? Edited June 27, 2019 by alienboyva Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
Yeah, half of the presentation was anime cool for I guess presenting the concept of the game but beside gameplay should be priority, I feel like still know slight less than nothing about this game when we first heard about. Despite that, I still would want to play this game, tho. With the release so soon, I hope we learn more about microtransaction, more of the 3 team, collecting trainers and Pokemon. Artificial Island of Pasio and the Pokemon Masters League, what mouthful of a title. I also do not like the pants red is wearing, it he trying to dress like how Charizard X looks with black skin and blue flame? Is that blue flames on the side of this pants?!? What is this circa 2003? Ithrak Utopia
If my phone can handle the game alongside my other apps, I'm certainly interested enough to get the game and maybe dive in a bit regarding whatever ends up being an in-game purchase(s). I typically will make a few purchases for enjoyable free-to-play games if that's what Pokemon Masters is. This is looking like my new Pokemon experience for the year and the focus on battling should pair well with my grindy shiny hunts in older games and Let's Go. Quote Link to comment
DranSeasona
Looks kind of fun but not sure I have the data for it. Like with Duel, will probably end up passing, sadly. Quote Link to comment

Ridley Prime
Mega Evolution and Z moves also appear to be in this, along with a mobile game here having better trainer animations than mainline Switch titles. I try not to take too many potshots at Sword/Shield/GameFreak, but everything else Pokemon shown now is slowly making it look worse and worse by comparison. Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment

It's frustrating to see that the mainline games are being put by the wayside. Quote Link to comment

Igneous42
The trailer was neat but as others have said taking up half the video with the other half being sparse details. Not sure how I feel about it being real time. But seeing that there are different moves at least eases my mind a bit at least. Initially I was afraid it'd just be a tap spammer but if there's at least some degree of strategy/decision making with how you use you moves since it seems any action makes that pairs recharge start again. The video suggests that the Syn-Pairs are a permanent pair, and logically they are probably the gacha mechanic. The speculation and art was pointing that way all along anyways but I was personally kind of still hoping it'd be separate. Like certain trainers specialized in certain elements and the player could choose who pairs with who (maybe have a default/story Pokemon for each trainer though). I can already see how alts for trainers are gonna be different Pokemon and such. Definitely still curious to give it a try, I probably don't need another gacha to play but Pokemon Gacha (as crappy as a genre can be) seem like a natural pair. Quote Link to comment
Juanblue85
It was great to see so many Gym Leaders from past games as well as their Elite Four, Champions, Frontier Brains, Enemy Teams (I mean so far its been mostly Team Rocket but the others should be coming as well). Wonder if some of the characters from the GC and Wii PKMN games would be here. Quote Link to comment
Carl321
It's a neat idea but I'm not particularly interested. It's taken a lot to get over my gambling addiction and quit Fire Emblem Heroes. The last thing I want is to get into another mobile game that could possibly have a gacha system. Even otherwise it just doesn't look like some premise I'd want to get in to.
