Shadow118
Interesting title names The Graphics look pretty nice and clean too - the region looks pretty nice though so far Though a bit early to tell, but so far I’m liking the Fire Starter... May change though Unfortunately no Pokémon appearing in the overworld, nor any sign of Pokémon following you or Ride Pokémon yet - no idea if it’s being kept hidden for the time being or not in the games at all Regardless, still looking forward to these when they come out - at least it’s still coming this year, at least... so that’s something to look forward to Though I’m not sure which version I’ll be downloading.... Doc Brown
The water one is cute! Not sold on the fire one. The grass one is ok. This is the first generation where I'm kind of eh about it. Edited February 27, 2019 by Doc Brown Quote Link to comment
EH_STEVE
I'm worried the Fire starter will be another Fire-Fighting type Quote Link to comment
Marxforever
Am I the only one a little underwhelmed by the graphics? I mean, the aesthetics are nice, but this is Gamefreak we're use to a nice art direction. But like the actual visuals are so underwhelming. Much like Let's Go, this looks like an up-scaled 3DS engine. The Switch can do so much more, plus that generic, photo realistic, Unreal water texture, really doesn't gel well with this handrawn style. Man does that stick out like a sore thumb. And while I'm digging the Steampunk vibe of the new region, it looks linear as fuck judging from the map. Edited February 27, 2019 by Marxforever Quote Link to comment

Stephen 776
I'm hoping GameFreak saying they're trying new things isn't PR talk, or at least understand just because something like Festival Plaza is new doesn't mean it should be included. Anyway, just everything about this feels like it's retreading familiar the same ground. Everything feels so routine and ugghh. I'm hoping there's something new and exciting for this series, but I'm not seeing it here. Edited February 27, 2019 by Ares Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment
Tyranogre
Looking forward to rule34 of the new Pokegirl, but not much else. Quote Link to comment
Link, the Hero of Dreams
Remember how Alola tried to change things up with the trials? I’m going to get the game out of loyalty. Sure, sometimes the main games games are mediocre, but that’s never stopped me before. Quote Link to comment
Elemental Hero
I've been fangirling and speculating with one of my British friends about the new Galar region, pointing out all the landmarks. It's basically the UK upside down, and the main cities are Manchester and London. The football stadium seems to also be a gym, as is a theatre in London. There WILL be a corgi Pokemon. Get ready. And Queen Elizabeth better be the champion or we're gonna riot. But one thing is keeping me from getting too excited: this region is BEAUTIFUL... but the game is based on the Sun/Moon engine. That means, in Game Freak's usual ways, an onslaught of horrible camera angles that can't be changed. Everything is going to be that Stonehenge route in Kalos where you could see a hundred steps ahead north and only two steps south, regardless of which direction you're moving in. DLurkster
I was watching live but hammered with work to do when 5 minutes before, I was free to goof off for 7 minutes for this thing and ate up anytime to response till my break now. Like the names, that's pretty close to King and Queen I guess. As for the visuals.... 18 minutes ago, Marxforever said: Am I the only one a little underwhelmed by the graphics? I agree the visuals are meh I wasn't expecting out of the gates visuals but the character models don't look much different from gen 7, the environments look marginally better. I don't expect the environment to look any better till release but they have give the character models more polish please. --- I like the setting and that and the starting Pokemon are the only interesting right for these games. I guess that makes sense for the first reveal, we really shouldn't expect anything else beyond that. Yes, right now this looks like vanilla pokemon formula, all we can hope in the next coming months they have more interesting things to share. I don't have high hopes but I open for what could provide us with. I'm leaning on the fire starting with water in 2nd and grass dead last. Quote Link to comment

Since Gen 5 I've always had a bunch of unevolved Pokemon on my team, because I didn't like their evolved forms. Sun/Moon was especially tough with Rowlet, Rockruff, Herdier, and Misdreavus. Will Gen 8 be the time I finally run through with 6 of the same Pokemon??? Quote Link to comment
Marxforever
That Rabbit appears to have an athletic bandage on it's nose.... So help me if it's a fire/fighting type. Elemental Hero, The Guardian Mew and Link, the Hero of Dreams 2 1 Quote Link to comment
DranSeasona
It is quite underwhelming at this point, but it looks like it will be fun. I will wait until we see more of the game before I judge it, though. I wonder what the legendaries, if any, will be like. We already have a sword AND shield Pokémon family, so I am hoping that they will be a bit more creative on that end. Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment

Similar to some fantastical version seen on family crests? Quote Link to comment
