Sounds like I have $256 in savings left over from those purchases..

If I use about $90, I’d have 166 left...Hm... Though would that be worth it?

I’ll have to double check the total price first, though

Granted, I’d still need a 256 GB card in order to download

Well, I’d still at least be able to purchase Smash Ultimate + Fighters Pass Bundle either way regardless...

while i know what kind of point you're trying to make, the algorithm is very painfully obviously not working as intended, and thus the 'intent' is completely unreadable from the start

their own staff-made post has been flagged as adult content, so like....i think it still stands that while the people in charge are not good at their jobs and lazy, its really not worth taking personally weeks before its even supposed to go fully into effect

I think it's fair to take it personally the moment it starts affecting a particular demographic disproportionately. When it comes to faceless corporate entities which are only acting out of their own financial interests, there's not necessarily much meaningful difference between "we're actively targeting lgbt+ communities out of malice" and "we didn't care enough to do a better job making sure our algorithm doesn't make a worse experience for lgbt+ users" in terms of end result.

Man their new bot is stupid.

Even if you don’t primarily post NSFW, still check your blog!

While combing my blog for any content Tumblr’s bot might flag for deletion, here’s what I found it tagging as “objectionable”:

-Screenshots of video games, with the characters all fully clothed and not even so much as a kiss scene happening

-Environmental landscapes with no people at all in sight

-Cute pictures of baby animals (horses, puppies, kittens, etc)

-Pictures of Disney Parks.  I don’t know why but a TON of Disney parks photos were flagged.

-Artistic nudity, as in photos of Greek statues IN MUSEUM DISPLAYS.  Like we’re not even talking any kind of disputed artistic nudity here.  Photos of actual museum displays were flagged as “objectionable”!

So, basically, this bot is crazy and whatever image filter it’s using to detect nsfw content is very bad at distinguishing it.  Carefully check your content to see if weird stuff has been improperly flagged!

This is going to sound really weird coming from me of all people, but the situation is a lot more complicated than just "o noez they took away our porn". A lot of talented people are losing one of the most effective ways to connect with their audience.

And really, the argument that something is "just porn" doesn't change the fact that people still had to put effort into creating it. Sexual expression is just as valid a form of art as any other form of creative expression.

I agree with you there. The rotten apples in the bunch are the damn porn bots and the like.
