Welp, I didn't read the fine print with this purchase. I thought the physical of this DLC included the the original game. I wondered why I only paid $50 dollars CDN for this thinking I got the original game and the DLC for $50 bucks, suckers.

The joke is on me but at least I get coded to the expansion pass when I decided to play the original game. That would be costly to get the original game and the Season Pass.

Still sticking to the plan to play the DLC first (as this won't affect me that much when I do play the original game, right?) then the main game. If anything I may understand the main game more with past cutscenes making more sense, context wise.

Well played Nintendo and lesson learned.

Also a heads up and clarification, the retail version of Xenoblade 2 Torna's included expansion pass code will only contain the first four DLC packs, while Torna is card only. Something to think about if you decide to give the code away if you already have the expansion pass proper. You can also double check to see in the eShop, even though the individual DLC packs are purchased, the expansion pass is technically not. Though Torna is listed with an estimated release date of Halloween. Curious. Maybe something to curb resellers?
