purple_beard
FWIW, Japan gets Famicom colored ones! *************************************** Anyways, do you think this means SNES ones are on the way too? Could they/would they pull off N64 or GC ones? *I'd say no to GC ones because of the GCN adapter and GCN controller for Smash. *Somehow, I don't think the layout of the N64 controller would work well in adapting a front to include a charging catch. Ithrak Utopia
These are tied to the kind of games available through the NSO, so it's possible for more controllers to come depending on whether the catalog expands beyond NES titles. I can see them bringing SNES games to the NSO and controllers to "enhance" the experience. They'll be $80 too and only for online subscription holders. I don't know about an N64 controller as I don't think Nintendo will offer up N64 games to NSO subscribers. If it were to happen, the N64 controller could have a cable to charge it from the dock like the current pro controllers. That would be an exclusive $100 offer. purple_beard 1 Quote Link to comment

Heh, I'm with you on the price premiums.... but here is the kicker on the N64 ones versus NES, SNES, and GC THE COLORS * I had Gray, Black, Blue, Green, Gold, and the clear purple. My brother's collection would have tacked on Solid Yellow and Clear Green (aka Jungle Green from the Jungle Green DK64 set). Ithrak Utopia 1 Quote Link to comment
Art_de_Cat
Solid green, not clear green. Quote Link to comment
Kezay
SNES controllers I can see happening, but that's about it. The N64 controller doesn't really lend itself well to the same kind of setup as these, although I'd like to think we may see an N64 classic at some point...but that's an aside from this. Irondog666
I thought the exact same thing but then again SNES is my favorite console ever. I would imagine they would if these sell like hot cakes like I expect them too. One thing I do like that is going to limit the fuckery that is going to inevitibly happen with scalpers is they have tied this directly to your nintendo account and you have to have an active subscription to get them. So that should make it easier to get a set but I am not taking any chances, I will be pre-ordering them as soon as they hit. I do see Super Nintendo/Famicom contrrollers being released in the future once they start implementing SNES releases. purple_beard 1 Quote Link to comment
DLurkster
The dataminers looking into what Switch firmware 6.0.0 saw that NES and SNES controller will be compatible with the Switch meaning that we're due for the SNES games and controllers, that or the 6.0.0 update is going to be around for awhile. This is what they found: purple_beard 1 Quote Link to comment
