DLurkster
You can get membership not or redeem code because the eShop is back. I'm on it right now. EDIT: Ninja'd by AB. He's on a roll tonight. I blame Smash Wii U distracting me so last gen but so fun. Edited September 19, 2018 by DLurkster alienboyva 1 Quote Link to comment
purple_beard
If you do free trial you have to tack on a 1month plan at the end to go all the way through with it. I went ahead and did a year so there is no BS. It also appears that the NSO for NES games is an app on your screen to install and open to get its content. Quote Link to comment

Which is stupid, IMHO. Just fuckin' include with the icons with the eShop, setting and controllers once one gets membership. When you put out there separate you make seem like it not a part of membership and is not exclusive when those who don't have the membership can see it on the eShop. WTF?!? Good move on your part, @purple_beard. Damn. Do you have to install it on your phone? If so, that's really, really dumb. Quote Link to comment

I'm considering it an app since its not an actual game you are accessing.... game doesn't start till you boot up the app. Doc Brown 1 Quote Link to comment

Now I would assume that would be so you could not screw yourself out of any thing you had done that week by accident but I bet the one month tack on doesn't actually charge till the end of the free period. Oh, OK. Though, if you turn off auto-renewal it won't charge you at all after the trial. EDIT: It didn't ask for some kind of payment info or eShop funds upfront did it? purple_beard
I think I might try out some of the non-obvious online games out of hte line up later on tonight. For instnace Ice Hockey and Dr. Mario vs. SMB, SMB3, Zelda ect... Quote Link to comment

Sadly that has becoming standard with many free trials as of late, requiring your credit card for auto-renewal in hopes that you would forget about it and lapse into another month or so of paid membership. purple_beard and Doc Brown 2 Quote Link to comment

Yep. It's why I never use Credit Cards for that kind of thing. If they require it, then it's a pass on my end. I don't give them carte blanche to have a chance to auto renew. Quote Link to comment
inx
Question, can you play the NES games offline, or do you have to connect to the internet to play them? Quote Link to comment
