It also appears that the NSO for NES games is an app on your screen to install and open to get its content.

Which is stupid, IMHO.

Just fuckin' include with the icons with the eShop, setting and controllers once one gets membership. When you put out there separate you make seem like it not a part of membership and is not exclusive when those who don't have the membership can see it on the eShop.

WTF?!?

If you do free trial you have to tack on a 1month plan at the end to go all the way through with it.  I went ahead and did a year so there is no BS.

Wow. Hard pass on that one Ninty. Seriously. Good move on your part, @purple_beard.

Damn. Do you have to install it on your phone? If so, that's really, really dumb.

@purple_beard Said you had to tack a 1-month membership to do the free trial. Not sure where he got that, but I was just trying to clarify things.

The purchasing screen was like once you select free trial it asks you to do a 1month afterwareds before finishing the purchase.    Now I would assume that would be so you could not screw yourself out of any thing you had done that week by accident but I bet the one month tack on doesn't actually charge till the end of the free period.

Oh, OK. Though, if you turn off auto-renewal it won't charge you at all after the trial.

EDIT: It didn't ask for some kind of payment info or eShop funds upfront did it?

Sadly that has becoming standard with many free trials as of late, requiring your credit card for auto-renewal in hopes that you would forget about it and lapse into another month or so of paid membership.

Yep. It's why I never use Credit Cards for that kind of thing. If they require it, then it's a pass on my end. I don't give them carte blanche to have a chance to auto renew.
