alienboyva
During SEGA's 'SEGA Fes 2018' stream they announced that they will be releasing a Genesis (Mega Drive) mini this year!... Nice! I'd be in depending on price, games and most importantly, this better be developed by SEGA and not At Games, Those clone/plug-and-play Genesis systems At Games released are a steaming pile of 💩. If it's not made by SEGA, I'm not going to bother. Doc Brown and Kezay 2 Quote Link to comment
Eliwood8
Kinda surprised this didn't happen sooner, though I guess like you said there have been similar, less official plug-and-play systems. I don't have the same nostalgia for the Genesis as I do for the SNES though, so I probably won't get this. Quote Link to comment
Fuzzer1
Still makes zero sense why we got the Genesis and not the Mega Drive when it came out in the late 80s. Quote Link to comment

Becaue they we're trying to be hip and edgy when marketing the system in NA. They wanted it to be the system all the cool older kids played. Quote Link to comment
Kezay
Back when it first came out I had no idea the plug and play Genesis consoles that were in stores was done by another company so it's pretty good that Sega are doing this themselves now. Quote Link to comment
purple_beard
This thing is just the on-board titles and doesn't run the old carts right? Saw on Nintendolife that in their article they tossed out the bait of would this be bitter rival to the SNES Classic? Quote Link to comment
The Ultimate Mario Fan
What's wrong with the At Games clone consoles if all one wants to do is play a Genesis game? I have a handful of Genesis games and I don't want to spend much money, so the clone console works just fine for me. Being able to run games is good enough. That said, they come with lots of pack-in games as well and are compatible with the original controllers. The less money I give to Sega and the more money I give to Nintendo, the better. alienboyva
Well, shit! 💔😭 AtGames says there will be improvements over their other Genesis clone/plug-and-play system, but "Fool me once!".... Edited April 16, 2018 by alienboyva Quote Link to comment
