Time to take out Stihl Venom then.

And Mexico's favorite cerveza beats the USA's beer representative.

Google is telling me that facepalm in Russian is... facepalm.

Really? Either way the Russians aren't happy.

On to the next round.

Why am I always battle fodder for someone else's battle matches?

Good effort Daisy. Got some points at least.

To answer your question...the battle arena matches...I think the other teams know that Delta Sarasaland is the top team in the MKRA, and are difficult to beat in many Grand Prix tracks, in particular the ones in Mushroom Kingdom, Sarasaland, and other parts of Mushroom World.  The battle arenas represent a great chance to get revenge, and more to the point, they represent a chance for other drivers to gain ground on you and Daisy in the points race.

The MKRA was wise to this following the outcome of the first two battle arenas and kept teams together for the opening round here.  Will they adopt the same format for the final battle arena at Gerudo Valley?  We don't know for sure yet, but it seemed to work well tonight.

Btw...I don't know if the MKRA did this on purpose, but two events Halloween week...one in the Valley of Bowser, and the other in Gerudo Valley, two of the scariest, most hostile places in the Nintendo Universe.  Scary indeed.

An announcement was made today ragrding the MKRA and the four US tracks in productive negotiations having reached a deal that will please all parties.

The plan calls for Circuit of The Americas and Detroit to be on the 2019 MKRA schedule and Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta on the 2020 schedule, alternating afterwards.

MKRA officials called this a "win win for everyone. This agreement will work for everyone going forward because we all wanted to see if negotiations could work instead of lawsuits and it has worked wel."

Detroit GP and COTA officials both issued a joint statement saying "we are happy with the negotiations and outcome and thank all parties for reaching this wonderful decision and look forward to the 2019 season."

Update: COTA will also join the Detroit Belle Isle circuit in hosting an IndyCar race hosting the second race of the 2019 IndyCar Series season replacing Phoenix on the schedule. Same deal with Laguna Seca as it replaces Sonoma Raceway as the final race starting next season. This means only Road Atlanta isn't hosting the IndyCar Series anytime soon of the four US tracks to be hosting MKRA tracks in the next two years

Being involved in the MKRA as well, Target isn't wanting to let Kroger and Carrefour be the only ones to bring virtual world products into the human world and when you see a golden opportunity, go for it.

At a newly opened store in Hyule Castle Town today, Target officials announced a deal with Lon Lon Dairy to bring their products to Target stores in the US effective soon.

"The floodgates are open," Target executives said today. "When a company brings new products to our markets, others need to react accordingly, lest they fall behind. Acquiring the rights to send Lon Lon Milkin our stores ensures we have an exclusive product in our stores no one else has to separate us from our competitors."

Lon Lon Dairy's president said "This is a special deal for our farmers and beloved consumers of our products. Our milk is going to a new market which is good for our farmers because they can produce more for cunsomere and we are at a great chain like Target to launch our efforts in the US."

Qualifying Results for Subcon Grand Prix @ Subcon Circuit

Row 1 - Daisy, Fuzzer, Mario, Luigi

Row 2 - Yoshi, Birdo, Peach, Toad

Row 3 - Captain Falcon, Palutena, Pit, Jody Summer

Row 4 - Fox, Krystal, Kirby, Metaknight

Row 5 - Wolf, Dash, Amy Rose, Sonic

Row 6 - Triforcemaster, Banjo, Donkey Kong, Bowser

Row 7 - Zelda, Dedede, Rosalina, Timber

Row 8 - Koopa Troopa, Phoenix Wright, Louie, Olimar

Row 9 - Miles Edgeworth, Gary Oak, Wario, Ash Ketchum

Row 10 - Waluigi, Waddle Dee, Diddy Kong, Toadette

The Subcon Circuit is an out-and-back course, pretty similar in construct to DK Mountain and DK Summit Circuits in the DK Isles.  It starts in the grasslands before crossing over a river, and then heads into a giant Snifit cannon, which will shoot the racers high up into the clouds, where they will pass Wart's Castle before descending several jumps back to the grasslands, where they'll go through a mogul section leading to Mouser Cave, and then through a final hairpin before heading onto the start/finish straight to begin the next lap.  With straightaways, jumps, some rough terrain, and hairpin turns, this course has a little bit of everything, and should benefit the stronger teams.

10pm Est - The racers are onto the circuit for the formation lap

DNF - Amy Rose, Tm3, Banjo, Dedede, Rosalina, Louie, Sonic, Fox, Jody Summer, Olimar, Donkey Kong, Bowser

Lap 1 - Lakitu is onto the track, and the light is green...it's time to bring the action!  The long straightaway leading into turn 1 allows for the racers to get some separation from each other and they all make the turn cleanly, but it's still a big bunch up going into the Snifit cannon.  The big bottleneck is in the middle of the pack, where Amy Rose crashes into Tm3, who then spins out and takes out Banjo, who takes out Dedede, who careens into Rosalina and Louie.  All 6 of them are out of the race before Wart's Castle.  Up front its no change in position, with Delta Sarasaland leading from Amazon Plumber, with Corona Islander right on their tails.

Lap 4 - Following the safety car, we're back to green flag racing, and it's Delta and Amazon going at it up front.  Corona is the home team in this race and they are trying to mix it up as well.  One team that did well in qualifying perhaps unexpectedly was team American Skyworld, and Pit and Palutena are both in the top 10 early.

Lap 10 - The racing has actually bit quite tame since the opening lap flurry.  Fuzzer leads the pack right now, with Daisy having dropped to 4th as the Mario brothers gain on her.

Lap 15 - Well this might get the MKRA's attention...Metaknight mixes it up with Sonic coming down from the clouds, and the two both bang on the straightaway.  Metaknight gets the worst of the collision, and then proceeds to ram Sonic off the bridge into the river.  The hedgehog's race is over and he is furious.

Lap 17 - Metaknight is black flagged for crashing into Sonic, and must serve a time penalty in the pit lane.  He will fall to last place.

Lap 20 - First time into the pits, and it's good changes across the board except for CVS Fox, who have a mishap as Fox pulls away from the lane too soon and ends up running over one of his mechanics!  He needs treatment, and Fox is delayed getting back onto the track, which also delays Krystal from being able to get in and out effectively.  Disaster for them.  Stihl Venom meanwhile has a great change and is able to get Dash and Wolf back out onto the course in the top 10.

Lap 22 - Evidently that mishap in pit lane has resulted in damage to Fox's radiator, and it's now spewing fluid from out the back.  He's retired the car, and is out.

Lap 27 - Man, this is turning into a boring race.  Still the same teams at the front.  Fuzzer still leading, with Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Toad, Peach, Birdo, Yoshi, Wolf, and Palutena rounding out the top 10.

Lap 38 - Very little overtaking going on, and not a whole lot of action at the front either.  This almost resembles more a cycling race, with the main pack all just biding their time.  We'll see what the second pit stop gives us.

Lap 40 - Pit stop #2 and unfortunately for Delta Sarasaland, they have some difficulty disengaging the fuel hoses from the karts.  The delay allows Amazon and Corona to go ahead of them, and also Peach and Toad.  Stihl and American are battling for the other spots in the top 10 as they come back out onto the track.

Lap 44 - Well now...somebody has evidently had enough of the race being boring.  Mouser has emerged from his cave, and is now lobbing bom-ombs into the mogul section of track outside of Mouser Cave.  That'll be a potentially big obstacle for the remaining racers.

Lap 46 - Didn't take Mouser long to connect...as a bom-omb takes out the front end of Jody Summer's kart.  She's outta here.

Lap 47 - Adding to the carnage, up in the clouds section of the track near Wart Castle, the vegetable machine has gone haywire, and is spraying vegetables all over the track!  Birdo runs over a large radish and sustains a puncture.  She is forced to pit to repair the damage, much to the chagrin of the Subcon crowd.

Lap 49 - Now Yoshi sustains a puncture from a carrot.  Some really bad luck here for team Corona Islander.  He is forced to pit to repair the damage.

Lap 51 - Mouser connects again, this time taking out Olimar.  The cosmonaut cusses up a storm on the race radio as he pulls his damaged kart to the side of the road.

Lap 53 - 7 laps to go and its a tight one with Mario leading, followed by Peach, Luigi, and Toad.  Quite a gap back to 5th, where Daisy and Fuzzer are running 5th and 6th trying to make up ground.  It would appear that the foursome up front are racing together as a unit for now, content to not let the Delta pair catch up.  We'll see how long that cooperation lasts though.

Lap 56 - Well now...Mouser has caused a pileup.  His bom-omb lands right in front of Bowser, who has to swerve violently to avoid it and ends up putting Donkey Kong into the wall.  Both karts are smashed and cannot continue.  DK and Bowser initially yell at each other, but then look over to the elevated cave entrance and immediately get out of their karts and make a beeline for Mouser.  The gorilla and king koopa start beating up on Mouser and then Tryclyde and Clawgrip emerge and engage the two racers.  It's an all out battle taking place near the final turn of the track!

Lap 58 - Bowser and DK's interference means that there are no more bombs, and the vegetable shooter seems to have shut off as well.  The stage is set for the finish.  Oddly enough, the 4 original characters from SMB2 are the four contesting the race victory.  The Delta racers have made up a little ground but are still a good 6-7 seconds behind the pack of four at the front.

Lap 60 - It's the final lap, and Mario is overtaken by Toad.  Toad holds the lead, but is caught on the first jump coming down the hill by Luigi.  Mario is in position to contest on the final turn by Mouser Cave and attempts a daring pass.  Luigi lets him go for it, but Mario's brakes lock up and he goes into the wall.  Toad just barely avoids contact with Mario, allowing Peach to pass.  Having the cleanest pass onto the straightaway, Peach nearly catches Luigi but just runs out of track as Luigi crosses the line first for a big victory!  Peach finishes 2nd, Toad 3rd, followed by Fuzzer 4th and Mario gets his injured kart across the line just in front of Daisy for 5th.

Final Results:

1.Luigi - 25 pts

2.Peach - 20 pts

3.Toad - 18 pts

4.Fuzzer - 15 pts

5.Mario - 12 pts

6.Daisy - 10 pts

11.Birdo - 5 pts

Top 2 spots for Daisy and I. Neat.

And those 6 are over before their race began. Shame.

*Delta Sarasaland team radio:*

Guys, you've given me a great set up heading into the first pit stops. Don't touch a thing except for tires and gas when I stop soon.

Team engineer: 10-4. Keep it going.

Hope that crewmember is OK. I'm sure Fox feels bad too.

Nothing like being out front with clean air to work with. Got no backmarkers to deal with, the kart is running smoothly and the road is clear. Just... perfect.

*Delta Sarasaland team radio:"

All right guys. Another flawless stop for us and then we should have a good shot at a win if nothing crazy happens in the last 20 laps.

Team engineer: Copy that. Something tells me it could get ugly later on. Just be careful out there.

10-4.

I'm not blaiming anyone on the team but those fuek hoses not wanting to cooperate. We can at least get decent points if we can regroup.

Aw crap. Bombs could end it for us if we aren't careful

Those 4 are likely to do something stupid soon. Just you wait.

And that should be a fun battle.

Solod finish guys.

Delta Sarasaland officials have determined that one of the buttons to release the fuel nozzle front the fuel tank was failing to cooperate after the second stop, causing the nozzleto be stuck to the kart for much longer than normal.

"The good thing is that we didn't leave with it still on one of the karts," the team principal told reporters. "Yes we're pleased with our finishing positions but are dissatisfied at how a surefire win was taken from us so easily die to faulty equipment."

With the MKRA season entering into the final quarter, the stretch run so to speak...there's really no debate as to who is top dog.  Team Delta Sarasaland, without whom the MKRA would have never become a full intra-Nintendo Universe sporting league, has run away with the top honors.  They've won 5 races this season (arguably would be 6 if it wasn't for some faulty fuel hoses this past race) and hold the top spot in the constructor's standings by a probably insurmountable 179 pts with 8 races left.  They also have the top 2 places in the driver standings, with Daisy leading her teammate Fuzzer by 26 pts, and the next driver over 60 pts back, also probably insurmountable with only a quarter of the season to go.  With that in mind, the big battles down the stretch could be for the 3rd spot on the driver's podium, where a torrid multi-way race has developed with 10 drivers standing within 50 pts of 3rd place; and for the 2nd and 3rd spots on the constructors' podium, where 4 teams are in the close hunt, and 3 others could get themselves into the race with some strong performances in the next few races.

But while a lot of the attention will be on teams Amazon, CVS, Chevrolet, Corona, and Tesco, and rightfully so, there is one big thing still to watch with team Delta.  Daisy and Fuzzer, when they've been on the track together, have been a well oiled unit that has helped the other succeed.  But let's say come the last 3-4 events that the driver standings are still as close as they are now, or let's say Fuzzer has eaten into Daisy's 27 pt advantage a bit and is within a race of taking the lead.  Do the two lovers declare war and battle each other for the driver championship?  Or does their driving stay amicable through to the end?  That is definitely something to watch, especially considering that a battle arena lurks in the 3rd to last round of the season.  Might the other drivers in the series have a say there in who they would rather see win?  There's definitely a lot to see unfold yet.

Those very questions have been discussed a ton at Delta Sarasaland HQ and heading into the Corneria GP, aren't going to be answered for a while.

" Fuzzer abd I have worked well together so far but if he gets on a good streak and eats into my lead, well all bets are off," Daisy told reporters today. "Yes he's my boyfriend and future husband but on the track he's a competitor to beat on the track. I won't however intentionally wreck him though because that's not my thing," she added citing "personal reasons" as why.

"Daisy is a target I need to beat. A 27 point gap isn't too hard to erase for me," Fuzzer added. "The final strecth to Rainbow Road will be interesting for us and should make must see TV for the viewers."

Asked if there are team orders in play, the team principal told reporters, "No. Daisy and Fuzzer have always raced each other fairly and have worked wel together on the track. We as a team find it wrong to tell those two what to do on the track so we ask them to police themselves and they've been fantastic about it. We look forward to this final stretch of races as a team and await who finishes 1-2 in the final standings."

Qualifying Results for Corneria City Circuit @ Corneria

Row 1- Metaknight, Dedede, Timber, Birdo

Row 2- Phoenix Wright, Dash, Kirby, Palutena

Row 3- Wolf, Captain Falcon, Daisy, Toad

Row 4- Bowser, Koopa Troopa, Amy Rose, Banjo

Row 5- Sonic, Louie, Jody Summer, Rosalina

Row 6- Wario, Krystal, Peach, Olimar

Row 7- Gary Oak, Mario, Triforcemaster, Donkey Kong

Row 8- Diddy Kong, Fox, Pit, Fuzzer

Row 9- Toadette, Waluigi, Miles Edgeworth, Ash Ketchum

Row 10- Luigi, Yoshi, Zelda, Waddle Dee

Corneria Circuit- The stage will begin in the sky. Every racer this time around will get a signature Starwing, with all of the ammo removed. They will then enter a narrow pass before heading into the heart of the city. They will go under bridges and avoid the skyscrapers.  After a while, they will exit the city and see more narrow passes, and soon will go to the sea, going under more bridges. They will find an other landmass, and try to avoid the large trees. When they encounter a large patch of dirt and stone, they will board big Cornerian armada fleet, and will be sent to the beginning of the race, where the racers will once again repeat the process. If a racer is about to crash into anything near the city, the buildings around will use strong magnets to slow and stop the ships. GOOD LUCK!

9M PST- The race begins.

DNF- Birdo, Wario, Koopa Troopa, Gary Oak, Banjo, Jody Summer, Sonic, Pit, Olimar, Fox, Toad, Wolf, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Bowser, Yoshi, Palutena, Louie, Timber, Waddle Dee, Rosalina, Edgeworth

Lap 3- Unluckily, Birdo crashed into a narrow pass thanks to Wario. Her ship is down, but she is safely evacuated with a jump parachute seat their Starwings are equipped with.

Lap 7- Yoshi surprisingly did the same thing with Wario at the same place. Waluigi might have a double revenge thread with this.

Lap 9- Koopa Troopa's ship crashed into one of the trees, as his steering was poor this time around.

Lap 10- When all of the racers made it to the end of this part of the lap, they unexpected landed at...

Lap 11- Meteo. The asteroid field. Not only will the Cornerian armada fleet do the same thing as last time, but their magnetic pulls will prevent any racer from crashing into the big rocks.

Lap 13- So far, the only person close to crashing was Gary Oak. He was just too cocky time around.

Lap 15- Banjo too had it rough. His weight didn't help with space movement. After this end of the lap, the rest landed at...

Lap 16- Katina. They will lap around the stage and avoid big space shuttles and large concrete pyramids.

Lap 17- Jody Summer is the first to nearly hit one of the pyramids. But, it too has magnets.

Lap 18- Sorry, but Sonic got bored of this area too soon, and almost hit a space station by sheer carelessness. (Though, he should've known what else was in store...)

Lap 20- With the 20th lap, the rest headed to...

Lap 21- Zoness. This water filled area has tall cliffs, large cranes, large structures and platforms, and large stationary and battery-depleted spider machines. It's also... raining heavily. One wrong move, and it might be game over immediately for some.

Lap 23- Pit was shoved into one of the large cranes by... Dash of all things. It's okay because magnets.

Lap 29- Olimar too nearly crashed into a spider machine thanks to Dash. I got a big hunch that Dash really hates this place. Edit: Meanwhile, Fox saves Krystal from an oncoming platform by getting her out of the way and nearly crashing into it. The reason she had a problem was because her windshields were malfunctioning for a bit, thanks to the rage of the stormy weather.

Lap 30- With no more hits thanks to Dash, the rest head to... After the first thirty rounds...

Lap 31- Sector Beta. Wait, what's going on?! Venomian ships and armada fleets are firing... magnet beams at the incoming racers! Any touch from them, and you're toast! ... And, within moments, Toad notices that too late.

Lap 35- Realizing he's the true MVP tonight, Wolf saves Dash from an upcoming magnet beam, by bumping into him. Oh, the irony! Only Dash and Krystal are still in from the Star Fox teams! But, it seems one of them has a big lead!

Lap 39- Getting a little peeved, Dash distracts DK long enough for DK to get pulled! Oh, that does not sit well with Diddy!

Lap 40- No one is gone right now 23rds in the way... The rest are sent to...

Lap 41- Fortuna. Large trees and branches are everywhere. Metal at that. Hmmm...

Lap 42- Well, Kirby had a hard time steering around the place. Good thing the trees are magnetic too.

Lap 47- How Bowser got to this point without crashing is beyond me...

Lap 50- Here we go! On to...

Lap 51- Sector Omega. Full of space buildings, space ships, AND ASTEROIDS! This is going to be something!

Lap 52- Waluigi finally got his revenge with Yoshi py shoving Yoshi near a space building. METAL AND MAGNETIC!

Lap 53- Palutena and Louie almost got their revenge on Dash... but, he moved out of the way before they could hit him. They nearly hit asteroids.

Lap 55- Out of Sector Omege... into... Venom. *gulp* They head into the silver stream inside. It has silver blocks appearing out of nowhere.

Lap 57- Diddy finally took Dash ouuu---... No, false alarm. Dash was a bit too close to lose. Dash went to Diddy, but a helpful Timber saved Diddy from losing. Timber nearly collided with a block. Magnetic powers here too.

Lap 59- This lap ended with trying to maneuver around Andross in a small cave. Those were given the magnetic blast from Andross were... Waddle Dee...  Rosalina... and Miles Edgeworth. The rest returned to...

Last night was definitely an MKRA first!  What was expected to be a race around the Corneria City Circuit morphed into a stage race around the Lylat System starting on lap 11.  Going through several space areas as well as across portions of planets Katina, Zoness, and Venom, this was surely an experience that very few of the competitors expected or were prepared for.

One person son who wasn’t fazed by the sudden changes of scenery was Triforcemaster, who managed a 4th place finish for 15 pts.  Following the race he spoke to the media.

Reporter: It looked like you were quite comfortable in the modified Arwing racer tonight.

Tm3: Yeah I had a pretty good handle on it.  I’ve been in flight simulators before, and definitely got some practice in them prior to this week, given that we had races in Corneria and Timber Island in the next group. It paid off tonight and hopefully it’ll pay off again at Spacedust Alley in 2 weeks.

Reporter: What did you think when you first saw the circuit?  Did you suspect that you’d end up on other planets?

Tm3: I thought something might be up when we flew over the Cornerian fleet.  I was thinking maybe the Zeram cruisers might fire their weapons at us or something, but instead we had wormholes appear and take us into space, followed by other warps that took us to Katina, Zoness, and Venom.  It was crazy.  It was like a stage race moreso than a Grand Prix but I’m sure it was great for the fans on the other planets.

Reporter:  Zelda managed to finish in the points here as well.

Tm3:  She’s a pretty smart cookie.  Yeah they don’t have planes in Hyrule, and certainly not space fighters, but she’s very astute and a very quick learner.  I’m very happy that she was able to score.  I think for both of us, having people like Fox, Wolf, Summer, and Olimar all retire definitely gave us a big opening.  I figured a lot of the space-based teams would do well tonight, and while Krystal got the victory to great fanfare, many others in those teams had a bad night.

Reporter: Now it’s on to the Star Continent.  You haven’t fared well in the Mushroom World since your win at Toad’s Turnpike.  What do you have to do to reverse that?

Tm3:  I think we have to focus on doing well in qualifying first of all.  That will help. But I like our odds there.  The circuit is a long one, and has a flying section from Moleville Mountain out to the Forest Maze, followed by a technical section through the trees and then through the streets of Rose Town before going through the Pipe Vault back to Moleville.  It’s a demanding course but one I think we can do very well on, especially since none of the Toadstool teams will have true home advantage.

Reporter:  Do you think your team will benefit from having races in the human world next year and fewer events in Mushroom World?

Tm3:  Without question.  That’s going to be a huge help.  You have many racers who are familiar with certain tracks as they’ve been racing on them since they were kids.  Take a few races out of the native zone and put them in my world?  You better believe that’s going to make a difference.  Don’t get me wrong, team Sherwin Williams Hyrule is still aiming for a podium finish in the constructors championship, but we’re really excited for next year.

Reporter: Tm3 thank you for your time

The Star Continent Grand Prix was supposed to take place tonight, but the race won't be starting tonight as scheduled.  The weather has been very inclement in the southern portion of the Star Continent all day, with torrential rainfall of up to an inch an hour at times resulting in flash flooding in parts of the Moleville area as well as in the Forest Maze.  This has turned the latter into a complete mudpit, especially in the landing zone of the jump from the end of the Moleville mine cart track (where racers descend into the trees and onto dirt trails).  With no expectation of the rain stopping anytime tonight, the MKRA has red flagged the race until Tuesday.

Edit:  Bowyer has posted on his instagram page images from his home in the Forest Maze...the area around his treehouse is under about a foot of water.  He concluded his post by saying "this will give me more time to practice my archery, nyah."
