Wait, they were doing WW Link and WW Zelda as separates OR in a 2 pack?  I haven't seen any separate listings for US sites ....yet.

This isn't anything new, PB.

 

For some reason outside of NA, they sell duo amiibo separately. This was done with the Duck Hunt trio in Japan and I believe the Callie and Marie. It is really unfair for those who are looking forward to buying only one of the amiibo here but you forced to get another one and pay double on top of it. They got a stop that for those who just want to get one of the a pair in NA. Like what is NOA think here, first they NA like the N3DSXL only and now this crap. It is annoying, please stop this.

 

I don't mind the pair ups, I want like 80-905 of amiibo besides the AC cards and figures so by all means for me but don't those few suffer who only want one or can only afford one here

Palutena coming to TRU!  In PO status on their web site.

 

Also, of note Pit, Gold Mario, Sonic, and Ness are up too... and following through it looks like the date is 10/27!

 

FWIW, some older figures show up as on sale for <$11

I wonder if we get news on those three next week after that Nintendo financials meeting they are having.  To let their release drag out to be later than the NX's release would be STUPID.

 

I still have a feeling they could be holding back on release dates/times because of negotiations with retailer exclusivity from Best Buy, Toys R Us, Target, Wal Mart, Amazon, and Gamestop.

 

IMO, GS might have a inside track on a Corrin amiibo seeing as they got Ike AND Roy exclusives.

 

Bayonetta though, does feel like more a GS kind of character too though.  Cloud....  I could see TRU, BBY, and GS really wanting to score him.

I'm trying to remember in any financial investor meeting talk about release dates for amiibo. I know they about amiibo sales like anything else Nintendo sells but talking about release date seem so bi nae, if they did it would only address their Japanese market and not the rest of the world. Now that I'm thinking about I think there was some or on instance they talked about amiibo release dates so chances are there at that meeting but very, very slim. This would be something Nintendo would announce in a YouTube vid, Twitter or a direct of some sort. Not out of the blue outside of those or a investor meeting.

 

I can't believe I'm saying this but we're more likely to hear more detail on the NX then these amiibo release date at the upcoming financial investor meeting.

 

As for exclusives store rights, that's a given but as much as I'm mixed on those, that would be dealt with after the amiibo have been made and finalized. It honestly shouldn't of taken this long to get store exclusives. What too up most of the time is making the 3rd party amiibo, not store exclusives rights and such.

Well, Corrin should have been an easy one to get the ball rolling on.

 

Bayonetta, due to here "mature" look probably had to jump some hurdles even though I doubt it would be that much more racier than say Zero Suit Samus.

 

Cloud....you got that SQENIX tax ya know..... they got to get their cut and approve what look would be the look of the amiibo.

 

But yeah..... this stuff should have been ready a while ago.

I'm not sure I would go that far. But at this point something having gone wrong with production does seem like a likely explanation. I mean, it's not like Nintendo has exactly been flooding the market with games lately. You'd think they'd have a team pushing Amiibo. Unless every single department is working on the NX, which I don't believe for a minute. 

 

I don't think Bayo faces any real hurdles based on her design, since ZSS came out no problem and the Bayo figure was greenlit by Nintendo besides. Cloud will probably face the most hurdles because Sqeenix is... well, Squenix. But again, it was greenlit, so I don't think it's an issue of getting the rights.

 

It's been since October 1 since the last Nintendo Direct. But it feels like so much longer since we got any real information. I've stopped caring, for the most part, but I've been out of the Nintendo loop for so long that I forgot I was still waiting on Cloud and Corrin.

I passed on most of the AC line.  I haven't bought any of the Kirby line although if TRU has one of those EPIC sales I might score all 4 even if I only really would like all of them sans Waddledee (sp?)

 

I did use a trade in to put money on a GS PO for the LoZ series coming out in December.

 

#3  I like both Diddys and I plan to get that whole set to and possibly multiple Boos.

Those gold and silver Marios look like they have easy to scuff finishes.... get one to keep sealed and get another to open.

I've been wanting Fox, and at that price Falco is worth it. :P Last time they had this sale though it would have cost $5 or so to ship them... now that shipping is free it's a super good deal. X3
