Kitakami's Blueberry Academy - N4A Chat Thread - September 2023

Autumn is on the horizon and it's time for back to school, the spooky season, and time to tuck in Green Day for the month.

Part 1 of the S/V DLC comes out, thought it was a appropriate. Though I'm on a new-game embargo until I put some proper work into my cosplays as I only have like 8 weeks left....

Penis.

A day away from Starfield coming out, though seems like people have been playing it early access from the Preorder or something?

Interested in buying a series X… that’s the latest console LEGO Dimensions will work on anyway since it has a disc drive…. Granted I’m going to have to buy the game and a different Game Pad, and the few Dimensions sets I’m missing…

Granted I’m still ways off from buying one and a Game Pass… I’m assuming i can play newer games through Game Pass on it, I’m assuming…

The Series X isn’t exactly cheap…

I have it pre-downloaded via GamePass, but still on self-imposed no-gaming. Well, not so much self-imposed now as I had my wife hide my XBox controller from me.

Plus side, I've remade my gloves and almost my pouches for my cosplay. Sword, shield, helmet, bracer, spats, belt, need next to no adjustments. Harness needs a refit. Pants and shirts need remake completely.  Sheath is my "final step" and will need a full redo as well if I decide to use one.

I was looking around for something else on Steam, but apparently there’s a 5th Trine game? I knew there was a 4th, but…

I did not know that- first I’ve seen it…

Well, that’s added to my Steam wishlist for the future - still haven’t bought or played the first games, outside of a Demo or two..

Also still wondering what i should use my second Switch voucher on… have a few options

I suppose replay ability and if it has a large amount of content should be a factor…

Really tempted to either use it on Mario Wonder or Super Mario RPG…

Hm…

Since I’ve been done with Arceus outside of a few side quests…

Not sure what to continue playing next…

Though aside from Arceus, I haven’t 100% completed I’ve beaten LEGO DC Supervillains,Smash Ultimate (aside from the second DLC wave stuff), Sonic Mania (beaten it once with Sonic & Tails, but don’t have all the Emeralds… and haven’t done anything with other characters), Odyssey, Splatoon 2 (only thing remaining is the Octo Expansion..) and LEGO City Undercover… and Violet until the DLC cones around (that I haven’t bought yet…), Shield (although I don’t have the DLC)

Been bouncing between several games before focusing on Arceus and Violet…LEGO games aside from Ninjago, since I haven’t seen that movie yet… i think i was getting close to beating Guacamelee and done everything except Jevil and chapter 2 in Deltarune… played a decent amount of Bayonetta

I can’t say I’ve cared about New Horizons for quite some time…

Also i have no idea if I’d actually like it, but downloaded Asphalt 9: Legends to look at, at least.. not really huge on most Racing games

Difficult to decide really

Really should continue with BotW though.. way behind on that…

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog turned 30 today

It’s been that long? Wow

One of my favorite iteration of the Somic Cartoon - liked how zany and lighthearted it was compared to future series

Gave us one of the best versions of Robotnik too - Scratch and Grounder are probably my favorite lackeys we’ve gotten in the series

Gave us some pretty good clips that became memes and good material for YTP and such…

I should get around to rewatching the series at some point… though i watched a few when i was younger and grew up on it, I don’t think i’ve watched the series in full yet….

_____

Also dunno if it’s a game i’d get or not, but Pizza Tower has some pretty nice songs in the soundtrack

YOU FOOL! While I was waiting for your obligatory penis post after my birthday last week, I had this video on my mind! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Spoiler

It's a stupid obversataonal gag from a YouTube show I watch from to time. There's nothing graphic in said video, because said gag is said during a let's play of a horrible video game. (By two comedians and gamers of a YouTube channel series that's been going for over a decade now.) But, they say the word over and over again as part of this gag as a means of humor, albeit maybe a little immature. You be the judge if it should be here or not. I had this on my mind for some time.

Job searching has mostly been hell. le sigh. Like, jfc, what is this burning dumpster fire of a job market?

Strangely, a company that didn't post an applicable job but simply said "we're always interested in x-ray physicists," has been the most promising company so far. My field was adjacent enough (photonics/visible optics), so I said, why not, I'll send a resume, and somehow getting my first non-screening interview for their optical engineer I position. The place is nearby and the work looks fun, so I'm really really hoping this works out. Weekend is going to be a mixture of brushing up on optics+learning about some x-ray specific features+learning about the company.
