April Posted August 21 Share Posted August 21 went to weird pride-in-august thing here yesterday. it's uh. super corporate but it was fun enough. seeing all the queers turn out is always nice. but it's so fucking hot like what a horrible idea. apparently when they started doing the current ones like 20 years ago or so, there was already something going on in june so they were just like "oh okay" and moved it to the hottest fuckin month of the year down here. not like there's this whole historic event specifically in june or anything lol Link to comment

We're still recovering from the flood a couple weeks back, not enough labour for all the repairs and dumpster collection. Franklin still looking to hit us and dump 50 mm more rain this weekend. Spring Posted August 22 Share Posted August 22 ahhhhhhhh, i quit my job and feel such peace bit of a shame since i actually did still enjoy it and love the people there, i'm not burnt out or anything but when you start hiring people at a full dollar more than i'm making after a year and a half, welp. think i'm gonna chill for a few weeks until after the game grumps show i'm going to then i'll start looking seriously it's nice to have some time to just chill April 1 Link to comment

Both locations I'm working at lost their center directors (both ultimately tied up to visa situations afaik), which means corporate took over management for the time being, and yeesh are their policies terrible. One location is closing down soon, we're cancelling folks' appointments day of on an almost daily basis because corporate doesn't think there's enough appointments to justify staff (we'd still turn a profit lmfao)--which, relatedly, means my hours went to shit--and just all sorts of "yeah, fuck this shit, I'm out." I really hope I can score a job at Lawrence Livermore that I applied to. Entry level, segues nicely in my photonics/optics specialization, and actually lets me continue to develop a career in photonics after a lot of that went to shit when my thesis advisor disappeared for 2+ years. But LLNL hiring is notoriously slow af, so even if I can score it longterm, I'll probably need at temp job anyway. And, honestly, I'll be down for anything fulltime as long as I'm not a salesperson; I need the consistency more than anything else. Spring 1 Link to comment
Shadow118 Posted August 23 Share Posted August 23 Aside from the legendary mons I haven’t caught yet, almost done with the Dex entries I currently have Just need to do Ninetails, Dialga and Palkia Looks like there’s a Path of Solitude i can do with Hisuian Arcanine against Ninetails I didn’t know about… Though, need to beat one more Ninetails with a Water type move.. which has been difficult considering I haven’t seen another Vulpix MMO yet… So will be able to continue the post game when I’m done with these - and whatever side missions available for the other legends And derped and didn’t save between a Shiny and a Vulpix MMO so i lost a Shiny Floatzel last night Oh well - not the end of the world- I’ll get another one at some point anyway, so wasn’t extremely rare or special pokemon Caught one or two anyway already… and shinies aren’t exactly the most difficult to get in the game, so not a big deal Link to comment
