When asked by the media about yesterday's Tigers-Yankees game with three brawls during the game, a 10-6 Tigers win, Fuzzer said:

"Look I'm happy the Tigers didn't get swept by New York. But what happened at the game yesterday afternoon was both an instant classic in terms of basebrawls for those who like them and uncalled for regarding those who hate them.

(Tigers first baseman Miguel) Cabrera got a seven game suspension for starting the whole brawl and frankly he deserved it. Tons of fans have lost respect for him as a result and that's a sad thing seeing how classy he is towards fans."

Reporter: Does it being back memories of the Smashville-Zebes brawl a few seasons ago?

"Of course it does. That was an ugly win with that top of the 9th inning brawl. I don't want to say this but given that some of the Hunters fans liked what they saw and wanted to get at us when we went to the Brinstar Dome, they wanted to emulate it but with that not happening due to tight security, they sadly attacked innocent travelers at the Smashville International Airport. And that's not fun."

Mishima Zaibatsu 2-4 Smashville

2nd - nothing doing in the 2nd either...a lot of good defense in the field thus far in addition to pitching

4th inning - Smashville comes right back to tie it on a Tom Nook RBI single

5th - Huge 5th inning for Doatec as Kasumi and Leifang singled in runs, thenRyu Hayabusa doubled to tie it and Helena Douglas homered to make it a 5-3 Doatec lead over Zebes

6th - Smashville take the lead as Copper, Booker, and Slider all drive in runs with 2 out singles to make it a 4-1 lead on Mishima.  Meanwhile Zebes hits back as Dark Samus and Little Mac both have RBI to knot their game at 5-5

In both Solana and UNSC prior to game 3s of the VGWBC Semifinals, a video montage of the events in eastern Texas was played, and a moment of silence observed for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Following that, NBL hall of fame manager Astrosfan183/Llama of Time came on screen urging NBL fans from all corners of the universe to donate to the relief effort already underway in Houston and elsewhere in southeast Texas

VGWBC Semifinals Game 3 national tv Gamecast

Mishima Zaibatsu 6-3 Smashville - Halo Park, UNSC

Doatec 3-7 Zebes - Lombax Park, Solana

1st inning - we're underway and immediately Doatec puts up a 2 spot in the first as Ryu Hayabusa and Helena Douglas have RBI singles.  No score yet in the other match

2nd - nothing doing in the 2nd

3rd - Mishima scores one on an RBI single by Jin Kazama, but that's cancelled out by an RBI by KK Slider.  Meanwhile Zebes ties up their match with Doatec as Little Mac and Ridley drive in runs

4th - easy inning here for both pitchers, both matches still tied

5th - Nina Williams gets an RBI single to put Mishima up 2-1.  Doatec go back ahead on Christie's solo home run

6th - Not a whole lot happening in the 6th, still 2-1 to Mishima and 3-2 to Doatec.  If those two results hold up we'll be guaranteed to have our first non-Nintendo world champion

7th - Smashville take the lead in the 7th as Copper and Mabel drive in runs to make it a 3-2 lead.  Meanwhile Zebes put up 3 as Simon Belmont singles in a run and then Little Mac doubles in a pair.  Just like that, the two Nintendo teams are looking good to advance.

8th - Smashville and Zebes get through the 8th without damage, and Ganondorf adds a 2 run home run to make it 7-3.  He flips the bat and taunts running the bases, which results in Simon Belmont getting beaned, which leads to a nasty bench clearing brawl, and 9 players are ejected.  This could have an impact on the finals...we'll see if any discipline is rendered

9th - oh man.  Lars Alexandersson leads off with a triple, then Paul Phoenix walks. After a strikeout, Phoenix advances on a wild pitch, and Fuzzer elects to put Heihachi on.  With the bases loaded up comes Jun Kazama, who blasts a 3-2 pitch over the wall in left center for a grand slam.  Smashville never really threatened in the bottom, and Mishima Zaibatsu become the 2nd SBL team to play for the world championship.  Zebes closes out their game amid more scuffles with Doatec who were clearly unhappy at how the late part of the game transpired.

Tied game once again guys. Keep it up.

Only down by 1 run. We still have a shot.

Dont let them back in it now.

I think we might have a possible advantage now. Don't do anything dumb guys. We don't want any repeats of THAT again.

And we're done for. But now to see how the Fists take advantage of Zebes being so depleted for the finals.

While Smashville fans seem to accept the fact that their team is done in the VGWBC, Doatec's is a different story as they have filed a complaint against Zebes to the VGWBC saying that they should be disqualified for "instigating violent behavior that caused our performance to suffer" citing Ganondorf's taunt following the home run in the 8th inning as the main flashpoint for starting the conflict, not Simon Belmont getting beamed afterwards.

The team manger said that in the post match press conference that "despite the Hunters' turnaround in recent seasons, this is the same team who has experience causing trouble with other teams as evident by what happened in Smashville in 2015 in that awful scuffle," referring to the infamous Savages-Hunters brawl in Smashville a few years ago. "We cannot accept the fact that several of our players got tossed because we had to fight with a team that is still dirty," an ironic statement given the team IS from a fighting series after all.

The complaint states that Doatec's players who got tossed were the "innocent victims" and that Zebes should be banned for fighting saying that "VGWBC rules clearly forbid team brawls. It's time a team got severely punished for it for once."

VGWBC officials, and the Huters and Savages for that matter, have not made any comments yet.

A disquieting silence has fallen over the VGWBC on the off day between the semifinals and finals, mostly due to the on field brawl between the Doatec Ninjas and Zebes Hunters last night, as well as comments made by members of the Doatec Ninjas in the aftermath.

The general consensus across the gaming world is that the Zebes Hunters are a team that loves to stir up trouble and try to do anything they can to get under the skin of the opposition and will get physical if they feel the urge.  Sony and Xbox League teams have threaded lightly off and on the field against them in this tournament, and word has surfaced that VGWBC officials had been looking for a reason to knock the Hunters down a peg.  "They're a dirty team, and they have a rather unsightly fan base, one that has perpetuated violence at seemingly every turn." The head of the Sony Baseball League's information office said Tuesday.

The word coming out of the VGWBC offices right now, where the organizing and disciplinary committee is meeting tonight (which has Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo people on it), is that at the very least all the Hunters players involved in the brawl on Monday night vs Doatec will be banned from the VGWBC Finals, and that the petition by Doatec to have Zebes disqualified is being seriously considered.

The NBL commissioner's office is silent at this hour, but Triforcemaster3 has written several posts on twitter this evening in which he has expressed concern at the biased media coverage of this situation and at the blatant conflict of interest displayed by the Doatec Ninjas and several key people inside the SBL including their chief information officer.  Based on these, it would seem that Tm3 is rather fearful of the outcome.  His latest tweet at 10:53pn Eastern was rather cryptic, saying "a smart man does not bite the hand that feeds it."  Perhaps that is a warning to the VGWBC organizing committee.

NSN will have further updates as they break.

edit: Tm3 must know something...he's left Hyrule and gotten on a plane to Popstar, where he has requested immediate audience with King Dedede and Kirby, his office verifying that it is a very urgent situation.  Of course, Halberd Coliseum is the site of this year's VGWBC Finals.  Tm3, having managed Zebes for 4 seasons, has extremely close ties to that organization and more importantly, likely knows exactly what might happen if the VGWBC committee gives a ruling against the Hunters.  NSN reporters are on the ground in Zebes, Hyrule and Popstar tonight and will break in if news breaks
