They could make for a great team too, since they live in CANADA! So if I'm understanding the setting right, their team would be in the Toronto area. We'll, that wouldn't be a bad place to have an NBL team in Canada. NBA and MLB have their only Canadian teams located there too Quote Link to comment
Link, the Hero of Dreams
I think Scott lives there anyways. Fun to see new people not represented much in video games. Quote Link to comment

Fuzzer1
With the Scott Pilgrim vs The World video game set to come to the Switch, this has led to Canada being a new market for the NBL going forward, and of all the big cities to plant the proverbial NBL flag in, it's Scott's hometown of Toronto, Ontario that would be the team's home city. Fuzzer and Daisy were both asked about this earlier today and we're both excited about this happening, with Daisy saying: ""We've been to Canada before in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver and the MKRA Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal so they aren't an unfamiliar market at all. I don't want to say they're like the US at all, but I wouldn't mind trying their coffee from Tim Hortons and their weird french fry, gravy and cheese curds concoction called poutine. That and they gave us hockey. Can't go wrong with that at all." For Fuzzer though, he had similar views too but also added: "I don't live far from the Canadian border as Detroit is on the US side of the border with Canada and you can see Windsor when looking across the Detroit River. Many of us in Michigan know the Canadian national anthem O Canada due to many years of seeing Hockey Night in Canada on the Windsor CBC affiliate CBET, which is the only Canadian station we get here. Americans have nothing but respect for our fellow neighbors and it would be wonderful to see Canadian representation in the NBL, even though Scott Pilgrim would have to go through the current ladder to make it to the NBL Premier League but it's not an impossible task to accomplish. I wish that franchise luck if they get in the NBL before too long." Quote Link to comment
Link, the Hero of Dreams
Progress on pitches the new teams so far, Sept. Edition: 1. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World 2. The Wonderful 101 When asked about the confirmed team of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, LHOD said: "It's not only because they're Canadian. The series, movie, and game is a love letter to retro video gaming. As for their likeliness of being in the Premier League... since they are a nostalgia-based series, they could go up a good way. They might have some competition in the faces of Moleville, Subcon, Circhester, Nook Island, and Wood Oak City, but they'll have a chance to go up by the time Team Canada will make it. (Oh, boy, I haven't even gotten into their proposed team name.) With that said, we'll have one team left to figure out by the end of this year. The Wonderful 101 has been hotly contested for some time. After that, it's likely we'll do the eventually replacements and changes. Or maybe something else. But, I have been thinking of the former the most. Some series have teams that feel like they're just useless now. Or haven't had a decent game in ages and are running on nostalgia fumes for the most part. We'll get to them and see what unfolds next. Thankfully, all of the teams I've mentioned are in the C- tier of the pyramid. They won't go away from the NAFA considerations, that's for sure. Nor MKRA." Quote Link to comment
