Triforcemaster3
Yeah I guess I should have specified that...but Fuzzer had it figured out. In the 3-game series format, the favorite team is hosting games 1 and 3, the lower seeded team hosting game 2 Game 2s won’t be until Tuesday though, as we have the MKRA Big Blue Grand Prix tomorrow evening Link, the Hero of Dreams 1 Quote Link to comment

Triforcemaster3
This is a massive night in the NBL. For some, this could be considered a confrontation between old and new. In two of tonight's matchups, you've got two teams that were promoted out of the lower leagues in the Valley Koopas and the Twilight Interlopers, who are one win away from their first Premier League playoff series win. The Koopas started their journey in the Championship League, while the Interlopers rose up all the way from the Reserve League to get to this moment. In their way stand two of the NBL's historic blue bloods, the Mayahem Jinjos and the Cornerian Starfighters. The Jinjos, a one time champion club from 2012, are one of the league's charter members, and the Starfighters need no introduction, having won the most NBL Championships all time with 4. Will tonight be about the NBL's past, or its future? But undoubtedly, the matchup that everybody wants to see will unfold at Sarasaland's Chai National Stadium. In one corner you have the Sarasaland Coins, representing a nation that is on fire...having just won the Nintendo World Cup in Russia, and whose Delta Sarasaland race team are on their way to a championship in the inaugural MKRA racing season. Following the miracle on the pitches of Russia and their dominance of the racetracks of the MKRA, Sarasaland now has their shot at an NBL title as well to sweep the board in the virtual world's major sports and achieve total domination. Standing in their way is a team that has done what no team before has ever done. The Termina Mooncrushers achieved total victory in 2017, winning both the Apertura and the Clausura to become the first NBL club to ever win the NBL title in back to back seasons. They are the unquestioned masters of the NBL and wish to achieve more history by becoming the first team to ever 3-peat. It should be noted that with success, both Termina and Sarasaland have made enemies, both within the NBL and on the racetracks of the MKRA and on the pitches of the NAFA. For many nonpartisan NBL fans, this matchup tonight could be the difference between rooting for drinking rotten milk or drinking Benadryl. But one thing is for sure...one team's aspirations will die on the field in Chai Kingdom. Who will it be? We find out...next...on NSN Link, the Hero of Dreams 1 Quote Link to comment
Triforcemaster3
Nintendo Baseball League Division Series Playoffs Game 3s - National TV Gamecast Valley 5-10 Corneria - Great Fox Field, Corneria (64 degrees, clear) - Starfighters win series 2-1 Mayahem 5-6 Twilight - Interloper Park, Twilight Hyrule (72 degrees, twilight dusk) - Interlopers win series 2-1 Termina 4-5 Sarasaland F/14 - Chai National Stadium, Sarasaland (78 degrees, humid w/chance of T'storms) - Coins win series 2-1 1st inning - The Koopas are off to a great start in Corneria as Roy Koopa hits a two run home run to put them up 2-0. In Hyrule, Banjo doubles home a run to make it a 1-0 lead for the Jinjos. No score yet in Sarasaland. 2nd inning - Corneria answers right back with a 3 run 2nd inning, as Slippy doubles in a pair of runs and Krystal singles in another to make it a 3-2 Starfighters' lead. Darbus pounds a solo home run to left center to get the Interlopers on the board. Still no score in Sarasaland as neither Daisy nor Darmani have blinked to this point. (Fuzzer I'm under the assumption Maxwell pitched game 1 and you wouldn't have thrown Daisy in game 2 with a 1-0 series lead) 3rd inning - Bowser pounds a solo home run to left to make it a 3-3 tie in Corneria. The Interlopers take the lead on an RBI single by Ashei, and then TP Link doubles in another run to make it a 3-1 Interlopers' lead. Meanwhile, both Daisy and Darmani strike out the side in the 3rd. The queen is in her castle and is strong as ever, but the big goron from Snowhead isn't backing down. 4th inning - Corneria takes a 5-3 lead on an RBI double by Slippy Toad, who is having himself a hell of a night. Meanwhile an RBI single for Aveil gets the Mooncrushers ahead by a 1-0 score. 5th inning - Finally the Coins get to Darmani and its an RBI double by Wiggler that gives them a 2-1 lead over Termina. Mayahem comes back to tie their game as Wizpig and Humba Wumba both have RBI hits. 6th inning - Skull Kid scores on a sacrifice fly by Igos du Ikana to make it a 2-2 tie in Sarasaland. No action in the other games this inning. 7th inning - Corneria breaks it open against the Koopas with a 5-run 7th, capped by Fox McCloud's 3 run home run. It's 10-3, and that's surely game set match you would think. Meanwhile, the Jinjos took the lead in the top half of the inning as Kazooie scored on a wild pitch, but then Ashei, TP Link, and Zant all came through with RBI hits to make it a 6-4 Interlopers lead. 8th inning - Nothing doing in any of the three games here. It goes to the 9th inning now. 9th inning - The Koopas score 2 in the 9th but Tricky Earthwalker eventually ends the game with a K to send Corneria to the LCS, where they'll face...the Interlopers, who hold off a late rally by the Jinjos where the Jinjos scored on a sacrifice fly by Wizpig, but strand two runners as Midna comes on to punch out the final two batters for the win. And in Sarasaland, neither team got a man aboard in the 9th which means this battle of 3-peat versus 3-sport domination is now headed to extra innings. 10th inning - Termina puts 2 runners on in the 10th, but Baby Daisy manages to induce a double play from Dotour to get out of the jam. Mikau walks one but otherwise gets through the 10th unscathed. This is now a battle of team depth and the bullpens as we head to the 11th. The Moleville Miners await the winner of this one. TV cameras have gone to the Miners' watch party several times now, their players no doubt wondering if they'll have to get on a plane tonight or not. 11th inning - Onilink pounds a solo home run to the bleachers in left center to make it a 3-2 Mooncrushers' lead. But then with the Coins down to their final out, Tatanga uncorks one to deep right and gone to send Chai National Stadium into hysteria and tie the game at 3. On we go. 12th inning - And wouldn't you know it...with 1 out in the top of the 12th inning, a massive thunderstorm has come over the area around Chai National Stadium...and the tarp is on the field, with players, coaches, and fans scurrying for cover in the tunnels and concourses of the stadium. Stay tuned...we'll be back on as soon as the storm passes. And the storm has now passed and we're back to play. Termina gets a runner to third base but Orville gets Kafei to fly out to end the inning. In the bottom Wiggler gets a double to open the inning but after a sacrifice bunt, Sarasaland is unable to get him home. Onto the 13th. 13th inning - Nothing doing for either offense in the 13th. This crowd is growing slightly restless but not a single fan has left. Back at the Mooncrushers' watch party at Clock Town's Carnival Square, the crowd has been standing and supporting their team for over four hours now and they too have yet to yield. At some point, this has to end...right? 14th inning - Termina takes in the lead in the top half of the 14th as Odolwa hits an RBI single to left to score Aveil. It goes to the bottom with Termina up 4-3. But then Reggie Fils-Aime opens the bottom with a double. After a flyout, Termina decides not to pitch to Tatanga this time, intentionally walking him. That brings up Monty Mole, and on a 3-2 pitch, Fuzzer takes a risk and elects to start the runners. Monty ends up hitting a laser down the right field line that lands on the foul line and trickles into the corner for a game winning RBI double. It's a massive celebration in Sarasaland and an epic ending to an absolutely unforgettable contest. The Termina dynasty has been defeated and the Coins advance to an LCS date vs the Miners starting tomorrow night.
