  1. .LIVE @ https://e3.nintendo.com/#splatoon-2-world-championship Opening Rounds: 6/11 (3:30 pm - 6:00 pm PT) Finals: 6/12 @ 1:00 pm PT Hey all you squid kids, the opening rounds of the SWC are going down later today! Will you be tuning in? く:彡 Team Spotlight く:彡
  2. Hmmm...Not sure what this could be. Maybe some kind of crossover or more info on the Octo-Expansion? TBH, that really wouldn't shock me. Maybe "Shock the world" is hinting at something? IDK...The only thing that I can think of that would really shock me, is if Nintendo didn't require a subscription to their online to play Splatoon 2 online. 😜 Though, Nintendo wouldn't be that stupid, especially since how popular the game is in JPN.
  3. Looks like hackers have made their way into Splatoon 2's online multiplayer. Players have noticed some people using overpowered weapons, custom weapon sets, using gear that hasn't been released yet, and even using Octolings, which aren't supposed to be playable until the Octo-Expansion DLC this Summer. Apparently, Splatoon 2 has nothing in place to prevent this, which is, odd, since Splatoon on the Wii U did have measures in place to prevent this. I haven't noticed any hackers, as have I haven't played Splatoon 2 in a while, but if Nintendo lets this get any worse, this is enough to make me never touch the game again. Nintendo better fix this before we have to start paying for online in Sept. or else people are gonging to be pissed and stop playing. Online multiplayer is the core of Splatoon and if people stop playing because of hackers, just image all those sales they'll lose, especailly in JPN, cuz as you know JPN is obsessed with Splatoon. Sure, you can just play with friends online or play with friends locally, but sales would still take a big hit. At least Nintendo seems to be starting to do something about hackers, as they recently banned a number of Switch owner's systems from going online, including one prominent member of the Switch hacking community (Yes, this even includes the eShop).
  4. What stages from the first game do you want to see return in Splatoon 2? For me I want to see... Ancho-V Games Saltspray Rig (quite possibly the best stage in Splatoon) Balackbelly Skatepark Museum D'Alfonsino Urchin Under pass (I feel The Reef is the new version of this stage, so I doubt it would return) Flounder Heights
  5. Not sure how much I'll get to play since I might be busy that weekend. Anyway...I'm going with Team Invisibility. While the power of flight may be more convenient, having the power invisibility, you can get away with a lot of stuff that you probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. LOL! ....Ehhh...Not that I'd ever do that.
  6. Coming from the JPN Splatoon account on Twitter...The new Dualie Squelcher weapon is being added to the game later tonight. This weapon will come with the Point Sensor as the Sub and the Tenta Missiles as the special. I really like the idea of taking existing weapons and making them dualies. I'm really looking forward to trying these out, since I'm loving the Splat Dualies.
  7. Version 1.2.0 will be available in NA later tonight (I believe this already out in some parts of the world). Here's what's been add with this update... Link: https://gonintendo.com/stories/288144-splatoon-2-version-1-2-0-available-full-patch-notes
  8. The new stage Shifty Station, which is set in a nightly Octerian world, is being added to the game, but it will be exclusive to Splatfests as a part of the 3 stage rotation. Also, It's layout will change every Splatfest. Hopefully, this will get added to the regular rotation once Splatfests end. It'd be cool to have a stage in the rotation that has its layout change every time you play it (kinda like the Excitebike track in Mario Kart 8).
  9. Updated throughout the day* Hello, This thread will be for all things Splatoon 2. Setting up matches, posting swag splatoon related etc. For any of us who are not interested in trying the convulted phone app. Splat on inklings!
  10. Not sure if this is all entirely new gear (I think just new color variants), but the Summer Vacation Collection is coming to SplatNet 2. It will be available from 8/11 - 8/16. If you haven't downloaded the Switch Online app yet, you really should. Especially, for the, exclusive SplatNet 2 gear!
  11. Even though I like mayo, I'm going with ketchup. It goes with more foods than mayo. Which team will you be joining?
  12. Link: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27028/p/897 I wonder if they also fixed that infinite ticket glitch? Not sure why they buffed some weapon's special gauge while nerfing others. From what I've seen so far, I haven't noticed any issues. I feel if anything needs to be nerfed, it's the curling bomb rush special. That thing is so OP!!! People can spam curling bombs all over the place, which can be pretty hard to avoid at times, unless you have the dualies so you can dodge roll. They really should make it not last as long.
  13. Currently only announced for Japan, some Splatoon 2 accessories are coming out for the Switch! Joy-Con stickers, Switch cases, and flip-down screen protectors (like tablets use) to keep your Switch at its absolutely FRESHEST! Here's a sample, more found in the link: http://nintendowire.com/news/2017/04/19/splatoon-2-switch-accessories-coming-soon-japan/
  14. The Switch may be out now but it's nice to see Nintendo is still giving the Wii U some attention (though I'm sure part of it is that this indirectly advertises Splatoon 2 as well). And that's some grand prize!
  15. OMG! These are friggn' awesome!!! I wonder if they will release other Splatoon weapons?
  16. http://www.polygon.com/2016/10/31/13462168/splatoon-nintendo-nx-esport-no Excerpt: I personally can't say a whole lot from experience but it's no secret that Nintendo has been making an effort to deliver Splatoon as that kind of high level competitive game with things like the Nintendo World Championships, the Nintendo Switch preview, and the upcoming tournament thing they're doing. And Splatoon multiplayer is certainly popular, especially in Japan. This article's an opinion piece by Ryan Gilliam expressing that he doesn't feel that Splatoon is suited as an esport nor should have to be, and his given reasons are interesting, speaking as someone who's not into mobas or anything like that. Curious to know how you feel about this and how you'd like to see Splatoon handled.
  17. Nintendo just announced a Splatoon tournament called Splatoon Showdown Series (link: https://battlefy.com/splatoon). The rules are in the pic below: I wish I had people I knew who played, because this sounds like a good time!
