  1. From the people that made that fake NX controller leak, comes the 3D printed Nintendo Switch replica. WOW! This thing is pretty damn legit!! I wouldn't haven even known it was fake, if they didn't show how they made it.
  2. Actor from the Nintendo Switch Trailer discusses his experience... Video: https://www.twitch.tv/dickhiskhan/v/96441430
  3. We've seen what Nintendo has in store for next gen hardware. We're still light on details, but I'm sure some of you have already made up your mind.
  4. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/zelda/movie.htm The official Japanese website has been updated with a few new videos of the game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releases for Wii U and Nintendo Switch in 2017.
  5. Nice to see Nintendo taking a step back and moving away from disc-based games, but I am kinda skeptical.
  6. According to letsplayvideogames.com, the new Beyond Good & Evil currently in development will be a semi-reboot rather than a true sequel. The game will partially retell Jade's story from the original game, expand on Pey'j's backstory, and then expand on the ending of the original game which, fans of the game may remember, ended on a cliffhanger. The same reporter had previously claimed that the upcoming game will be NX exclusive, and continues to do so. The game will be announced alongside the NX reveal with a cinematic trailer similar to the 2008 trailer, one that shows the game's tone rather than actual gameplay or cutscene footage. Supposedly the game is aiming for a summer 2018 release window. ************** This is all just a rumor for now since it's from one unnamed source, but how would you feel about a semi-reboot? As much as I'd like just a straight up sequel I can understand why Ubisoft would prefer to do a semi-reboot. The original game is near 13 years old now and as fervent as its fanbase is it didn't sell particularly well. Even for those of us that played the original it might be nice to modernize it a bit and experience the story again. The NX exclusivity I'm still suspicious of, especially with Ubisoft involved. Unless Nintendo is funding the game à la Bayonetta 2 I really doubt it'll remain exclusive–hell, I feel like there's still a chance it won't come to the NX at all!
  7. http://iphone.appleinsider.com/articles/16/10/12/apple-ceo-tim-cook-meets-nintendo-executives-plays-super-mario-run-in-japan-visit Apple's CEO was at Nintendo HQ this week. He held a meeting with Miyamoto and other execs! Is this part of his Japan business tour or something else?
  8. Just saw an International Business Times article which said according to Japanese sources we may get info on October 21, the 5th anniversary of the very first Nintendo Direct. Take it with a grain of salt indeed.
  9. For real. They're supposed to be releasing a new system in like six months but we barely know anything about it.
  10. You may or may not be aware, but Bloodstained has been pushed back to a 2018 release date. That has left a lingering question of just how relevant the Wii U will be when it actually comes out. Iga suggests a possibility that it may be published on NX instead. - http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/10/05/why-bloodstained-was-delayed-to-2018 It sounds like the PS Vita version may also be dropped. How do you feel about this? Should creators force themselves to publish to dead and dying hardware, to appease backer goals that were more relevant when their kickstarter was in full swing? Should they instead assess the situation and try to go for the spirit of those backed goals, publishing on new hardware when available? Or do you feel that the death of a system means they could rightly move on without trying to appease a small section of the backer's desires?
  11. More praise from Ubisoft's CEO on the NX at their annual meeting today: http://nintendoeverything.com/ubisoft-nintendo-will-be-back-in-the-race-with-nx/
  12. https://www.facebook.com/LegendofZelda/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1173232742737854 Nintendo recently shared a small handful of new screenshots showcasing some of the things you can gather in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which releases for Wii U and NX in 2017.
  13. I listened to a podcast about what games would be shown off with the NX reveal, they mentioned Breath of the Wild would be shown. Then it occurred to me, what if the NX has been ready but to show of one game for the NX, Breath of the Wild isn't ready to be shown? I think most thought despite tse showing of Breath of the Wild on Wii U at E3 this year was great, it still need some polishing up a bit or maybe this would be applied to the NX version. Also, add in the delay of Breath of the Wild for the NX, next March, the Wii U version might of been out sometime this year cause, if it wasn't for the NX version. With that all said, I believe the delay of Breath of the Wild to NX next year coincides with reveal of the NX sometime this year and also why the reveal doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. This is all hypothetical cause this hinges on the fact the Breath of the Wild is big part of the reveal of the NX, though they can have other reasons to reveal it. I just can't of why the NX hasn't been reveal yet, if the NX version of Breath of the Wild is not in a condition yet to be shown off. A big stretch but what do guys think about this?
  14. I'm sure if they do that Nintendo will put their own spin on it... but do you think the NX will have a console/user integrated achievement system? Why or why not? And is that a feature that you particularly want to see, or feel the console needs to have? Thanks in advance for the thoughts! I'll leave my own after people have posted.
  15. Funny question to ask when we: don't know what it is, how it look and and it hasn't even released it. But I bring it up cause of the possibility of this handheld console docking to your tv rumor last month by Eurogamer. (which, I still don't full believe) As you know, Nintendo home consoles never go through mid gen redesign where it gets smaller but their handhelds do. So with tha tin mind will the NX go through some changes in form factor somehow? It's not like Nintendo to follow gaming industry trend, they use archaic technology and make it into something no thought of implementing before, that's Nintendo. It's sort of what they did with the Wii and motion controls for example. Would Nintendo change the form factor NX and follow suit like Microsoft and Sony have with the Xbox One S and PS4 Slim respectively? Discuss.
  16. With the NX surely to be announced in the coming months, they'll probably also announce some launch titles, a new Mario game is sure to be one of them. Are you hoping for another 2D platformer, the unique style introduced with 3D Land and 3D World, or are you wanting to see a fully 3D game like Super Mario 64?
  17. The Wall Street Journal got to talk to the CEO of the Pokemon Company recently and a couple of very interesting quotes came out of it: From the CEO himself: And later down in the article: Source: http://www.wsj.com/articles/pokemon-to-create-games-for-nintendos-next-system-1474371834 So does this confirm that it's a hybrid? And if so does it also confirm we're never going to get a console Pokemon game since the NX is still part handheld?
