  1. The Krazy One

    TKrazyO on Youtube

Scroll down if you'd only like to see the most recent uploads at the end of this post. This topic is to get my Youtube Channel out there, at least on here anyway. This topic is being carried over to this site. For those that don't know me I go by The Krazy One on here but by TKrazyO on Youtube. TKrazyO is The Krazy One shortened by taking the "he" and "ne" out and squishing the remaining letters together. On my channel I mainly play games on Nintendo platforms (currently playing on the Wii U). Started out with DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on the Wii. From there I moved on to Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Tenkaichi 3, the Call of Duty series and some one off videos of various games on the Wii at the time. I'm also a WWE fan so there might be a little WWE related content there too. I don't really do live commentary. It's mostly post-commentary either in parts or I just pop in to say a few words. Currently I'm doing some playthroughs of games on the Wii U either through Virtual Console, eShop or at some point retail games. You can reach my channel by either clicking the logo at the top or if you don't have images enabled, click here: https://www.youtube.com/c/tkrazyo I have a Twitch Channel but I haven't streamed in a while. I plan on it but not sure when. Here's the link anyway: https://www.twitch.tv/tkrazyo Here is a link to my Twitter if you'd like to follow me: https://twitter.com/tkrazyo I've made it past 500 videos! Wooooooooooo!!! I'll put my planned playthroughs below even if you decided to watch the video. I'll also list some things that I have done. But I kinda want to get the topic out there so I'll update that part later. I'll have the current projects listed before the latest videos area near the end of the post. Planned Projects: Punch-Out!! (Wii) 1001 Spikes Comix Zone Super Castlevania IV Zelda Series (That I haven't beaten or played) These projects that I'm about to mention are of a series that I started about a year ago called Unfinished Business. It's where I go to my backlog of games I started on but still have to beat. Seems like a dumb idea starting part way through, but it gives me something to strive for. Unfinished Business Projects: Trauma Center: Second Opinion Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Near end-game) Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (No idea) Earthbound Golden Sun: The Lost Age (The whole gang's here) These are games I'd like to stream. To Stream: 8Bit Hero Guacamelee (With Brother) Terraria Trauma Center: Second Opinion (With Brother) Bit Dungeon+ The ones I put below here will be either completed series or series that I may go back to. Might Revisit: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Fights Splatoon Super Mario Maker Swords & Soldiers 2 (on Stream) Completed: Punch-Out!! feat. Mr. Dream (NES) Freedom Planet Sin and Punishment (N64) Sin & Punishment: Star Successor Star Fox Zero Unfinished Business w/ Sonic Lost World Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Sonic Forces Fire Emblem Warriors Super Mario Odyssey Star Fox (SNES) Azure Striker Gunvolt Sonic Mania I think that might be all the info I have for now. If I convinced you to check out the channel or any of my videos then I have done my job. If you'd like to subscribe, feel free. Totally up to you! If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for videos, my somewhat there commentary, or games I should play, feel free to share. I'm usually up for any suggestions. I will frequently update this topic with each upload. I will also edit and update this post with the two or three most recent uploads. I might put up a bonus video as well for a time. Happy watching! On Hiatus: Super Punch-Out!! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 Currently Playing: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Weekly Tournaments Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Switch as Fox McCloud) Most Recent Videos Decided to put these videos behind the spoiler tag. Except the special video below: And this week's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament video: TL;DR- This is me advertising my youtube channel. Showing what I've worked on, what I plan to work on and what I've uploaded lately. Check back to see more updates.
  2. Thought I share this because there's some actual good deals in here for once. Link: https://happyholidays.nintendo.com/cyber-deals/ Just make you have decent Micro SD card if you plan to DL some of these games. Happy shopping!
  3. Didn't want to make long sentence of the question, basically I'm saying if Smash Bros released for the first time on December 7, 2018. What be roster of characters based on relevancy of Nintendo IP's nowadays. To make this interesting and challenging, the roster size will be like the one based on the 64 game; 12 characters. Also, to make sure this isn't filled with shoe-ins with 3rd party. No 3rd party characters. (not even ones like Bayonetta is allowed) So only Nintendo IP characters and remember they have to be relevant today in gaming for Nintendo. GO! I'll post my roster once I see some posts here. *If you like you can also list 9 stages like the amount 64 as well. **I also do not take credit for this topic, I was inspired by the Patreon contributor questions asked on GameXplain weekly discussion vids for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

  6. I'm feelin' pretty confident that we'll get its final name revealed in the E3 direct next week. I'm not too sure about the release date but there's chance that we'll get it in full unless they do a fall/winter timeframe. What do think the final title Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch will be called?
  7. A retweet of Nintendo Japan Twitter account about the E3 2018 Direct from Sakurai. Google translate the tweet from Sakurai as: " Of course, I will introduce something. Such a long time, after a long absence..." Can't wait to see how much younger he'll look next week.
  8. Welcome to The My Nintendo Thread! As the title suggests, this thread will be used for the discussion of everything My Nintendo related and anythign inbetween that will be of importance! From points you can earn, to the rewards you can redeem said points for, this thread will hopefully be able to solve any and all questions you may have! First things first though, you're probably asking yourself this question: What is My Nintendo? My Nintendo is the successor to the long running rewards program Club Nintendo. Like its predecessor, My Nintendo is a program that allows users to accumulate coins to acquire special rewards, such as discounts to be used on the eShop, as well as exclusive games! Nintendo Account Now before you go about taking advantage of My Nintendo, you will need a Nintendo Account, which you can create by clicking 'Nintendo Account' above. Creating a Nintendo Account is paramount and necessary before you can use these services for your benefit. Thankfully, creating a Nintendo Account is very easy and takes mere minutes to finalize! Once a Nintendo Account is created, you can link three different forms of Social Media accounts to your account: Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. The fourth and final account you are able to link is your Nintendo Network ID (NNID). Once you have created your Nintendo Account, then the fun begins. Join My Nintendo here! With your Nintendo Account created, you are now officially ready to get started with My Nintendo! Earning Points Using My Nintendo, you are able to earn "points", which can then be used to obtain discounts, exclusive games, and many more! Earning points is very simple! My Nintendo points can be obtained by completing Missions. Missions range anywhere from linking Social Media accounts to your Nintendo Account, purchasing games off of the eShop when your NNID is linked to your Nintendo Account, using smartphone apps, and more! By completing these missions, you are able to earn two main different types of points: Platinum points are earned by completing various "Missions" on Nintendo's websites, as well as Smartphone Applications (Miitomo, Super Mario Run). Objectives such as linking you Social Media accounts and logging into Nintendo websites weekly (Miiverse, eShop), as well as completing in-game Missions for Smartphone Applications, will earn your Platinum points. These points can be redeemed for exclusive digital software from My Nintendo, such as special 3DS Themes only available on My Nintendo, exclusive games, as well as a myriad of discounts, and more! Gold points are earned by purchasing digital software off of the eShop as well as from the official Nintendo Website. Gold points can also be earned by purchasing retail copies of Nintendo Switch titles. These coins are earned only by game purchases, and are not earned by purchasing Themes, DLC, or physical retail games. Gold points earned can be used for discounts towards purchases on the eShop. There is also the chance that you will have a code that can be redeemed for points. If that is the case, go to My Nintendo, and click 'Menu' on the top-left of the screen. While in the dropdown menu, you will see a 'Redeem a point code' option; click/press that. Once there, enter your 16-digit code, and you'll then be on your way! If that doesn't work for you: on the Main Page, there should be a "Redeem a Point Code" button that is able to be pressed/clicked on, which will take you to the Point Code redemption screen. Note: the My Nintendo "Week" begins on Mondays, so you are able to earn the Platinum point log-in bonuses each week starting on Monday. There are four weekly log-in bonuses, which net your 30 Platinum points each; they are as follows: - Sign in to Miiverse - Sign in to Nintendo eShop - Collect the My Nintendo sign-in bonus - Sign in to your Nintendo Account on the Official Nintendo website In addition to these log-in bonuses, there is also a Monthly Mission worth 10 Points if you stay opted-in for promotional e-mails from Nintendo. You can find the complete list of Missions by clicking this link. PLATINUM POINTS EXPIRE AFTER SIX MONTHS OF BEING EARNED BUT NOT EXACTLY SIX MONTHS TO THE DAY. EXAMPLE: POINTS EARNED ON MARCH 3RD WILL EXPIRE ON SEPTEMBER 30TH AT 11:59:59 P.M. GOLD POINTS EXPIRE IN TWELVE MONTHS, AS OPPOSED TO SIX MONTHS WITH PLATINUM POINTS. THE SAME EXPIRE METHOD APPLIES FOR GOLD POINTS. To check if you have any points expiring, you can check out your Points History Page to get a specific number of points expiring. Redeeming Points for Rewards With those points finally earned, you're ready to start using them! As mentioned above, there are three different types of My Nintendo Points: Platinum, and Gold. With these different amount of points, a various amount of rewards can be obtained, such as exclusive My Nintendo rewards, discounts towards specific games, 3DS Themes, and more! As stated above, points expire after six months of being obtained, so be sure to sue them withing the allotted time frame! The full list of Rewards can be found at this link, and these Rewards will be more thoroughly discussed in the post below. Gold Points can be used for purchases on the eShop to give you discounts! The conversion rate is 1 Gold Point = 1 Cent Physical purchases earn you 1% back, while Digital purchases earn you 5% back EXAMPLE: If you buy a $59.99 game on the eShop, you will receive 300 Gold Points. If you purchase that same game at the same price, but physically, you'll earn 60 Gold Points. See the About Page for more info. And with that, the introductory post to the My Nintendo Thread has been complete! With this OP, I hope any and all information you were looking for has been found. If you have any questions, criticisms, tips on how to improve this thread, or anything else, please do not hesitate to make your voice heard!

    Switch's 1st anniversary

The Switch's one year anniversary is upon us. How have you been enjoying the ride? Were you a launch owner or a waiter? This thread will be a look back on Nintendo's latest system first year. I got my black Switch on day 1 at GS. Zelda took up most of my time during those early days. Got it decked out in a Zelda skin, though wish it looked like an actual chest from the game. Missed opportunity on that one. Got the splatoon pro controller and joy cons to add some flavor to my options. I would still like to see some non neon colors being available. Gold ones would be sweet. Most of the games have been physical, but Skyrim was a dl definetly. Sonic Mania box set was great! Mk8 collector tin was a nice touch. What are your memories of the past year, and hopes going forward?
  10. Fascinating video I watched last night made by a user on YouTube called HeavyEyed. Published a week ago. It compares and examines most of Zelda games opening hours and how Breath of the Wild is more than microcosm of the world of Hyrule. Overall I agree with what he said and makes me appreciate the opening of this game even more watching this.

  12. Some asshole that got a review copy of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowers's Minions thought it'd be a good ideal to leak the game online. Now, in response NOA is clamping down HARD on review copies... Link to article: https://gonintendo.com/stories/293166-usgamer-says-nintendo-cracking-down-on-review-copies-codes-after Seriously, what does one gain from leaking a game online? If you're going be an asshole and leak a game, why would you be stupid enough to leak a Nintendo game? Nintendo's assistant ninjas, will be on your ass like white on rice. Remember that guy who leaked New Super Mario Bros. Wii before it came out? Anyway, it's nice to see that they were able to trackback to the person who leaked the game. Though, it makes me wonder if it was a YouTuber who leaked the game? I've seen quite a few YTers totally ignore Nintendo's embargo on games and just do a full lets play of a game when they get it, just to get all those views/revenue...Plus, a YTer most likely has less to lose if anything happens. It sux that most likely, we won't see most Nintendo reviews until after the game launches from now on. I assume big sites like IGN, GameSopt, etc. will still get review copies on time, but with a VERY watchful eye from NOA.
  13. The 3DS is getting its third Mario Party game, and possibly the most interesting one of the three. I can't help but wonder why it's making its way to the 3DS instead of the Switch, is it because they're working on a Mario Party 11? even then, I'd rather have two Mario Party games on the Switch instead of three on the 3DS. They could easily delay and polish Mario Party 11 to release at another date and Mario Party: The Top 100 would hold people over for at least a year. This game is just going to feel awkward getting released on the 3DS, combining the franchises home console and handheld mini games into one, that's 100% what the Switch is. I feel like they just decided to be lazy and not invest time into polishing the game to Switch standards.
  14. Finally got my switch on Monday, the AC is plugged into a power bar which I turn off when I sleep/go to work, but it's still charging for 7 hours every single day when I'm home, and despite not even using the Switch for the past 3 days and ensuring it's powered off and not just in sleep mode, when I went to go play in handheld mode just now, the battery was nearly dead at 2%. Could this be a defect? Between this and my kickstand not staying closed and having to order a $14 (shipped) replacement, noticing a scratch on my bezel from using the dock with extreme care only single time before applying a protector that arrived late, I dunno about this thing.
  15. With the Direct name and all! We'll be getting a look at Switch and 3DS titles in a 45 minute long Direct taking place in just two days! Probably going to get some release info on BotW DLC 2, a look at the Holiday schedule, and perhaps a sneak-peek at what's planned for 2018! What's on your wishlist?
  16. I got a launch 3DS and felt buyer's remorse after they started releasing new colors and special editions. I got a launch Wii U and felt buyer's remorse after the Wind Waker special edition came out. For New 3DS, I held off until Nintendo released the GameStop-exclusive Zelda theme and holding off was the best decision I ever made. I've been holding out on getting a Switch until a cool special edition that appeals to me comes out. Japan has this pretty cool Monster Hunter SE, but internationally, all we've gotten are colored JoyCons. I was hoping Nintendo would release a unique design for Super Mario Odyssey, but looks like we're getting a standard console with red JoyCons. I plan on getting a Switch eventually, but given what we're getting so far in terms of console design, I don't know whether or not I should continue to hold out until something I really like releases. Do you guys think we'll ever get anything like the Monster Hunter SE internationally? Will they announce something closer to the holiday season? Perhaps, they'll announce something after the holidays to try to boost sales in early 2018? Or, given how Nintendo has handled the New 3DS line, will all the cool shit remain Japan exclusive?
  17. Rolling Stone recently published an interview with Jordan Amaro, a game designer at Nintendo who previously worked and trained with Western developers including Ubisoft. GoNintendo posted the interview highlighting a section where Amaro talks about why Nintendo would restrict player options in Splatoon 2, i.e. rotating maps and limited Salmon Run availability, but the whole interview is a pretty interesting insight into game development philosophy, particularly how Japanese and Western approaches differ. Check out the article here. The restaurant analogy in particular seems quite apt, considering the way players sometimes complain about wanting to play a game their way instead of within the confines that the developers have created. It may still seem like arrogance to set strict boundaries but it's interesting to see it explained a bit.
  18. Been keeping an eye on Switch accessories while I wait for a bundle deal before buying a Switch, and this caught my eye, seems like it's just what I imagined the original dock should have been, and I will definitely be buying one in the future. It even has a USB 3.0 port for the newer 3.0 LAN adapters. https://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Portable-Docking-Kit-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B071X7C1B4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504410400&sr=8-2&keywords=Nyko

    ARMS Control Schemes

From what I've seen posted on GoNintendo and the official Twitter for the game, I did some mock-ups for the controls for each style using the info from here; http://gonintendo.com/stories/280805-arms-control-schemes-breakdown and the pics from their Twitter sans one of them. This one was a GIF. These others I basically translated and corrected what was written in the control schemes story on GoNintendo since some of the button placements made no sense.
  20. The one problem people have been having is with connecting online with their Nintendo Switch. Another being the lag in Bomberman while playing online. I was planning on making this topic a few days ago but I decided to wait until I got my Ethernet Adapter up and running (which took a few days because I thought the problem with it not working was with the adapter itself but it ended up being the router, so I had to change some settings and configurations to be able to use one of the other Ethernet ports for the Switch). We've all probably heard that the range or connection isn't that great with the Wi-fi which is surprising to me since I've never really had a problem until the Switch. So the point of this topic is gauging and comparing our Switch's connection speed (Wi-fi and/or Wired) to what we get through our ISP's connection (or through your phone if you tether to it). Feel free to share that and/or what you pay for those speeds if you'd like. I know I will. So I pay for 12mbps Download speed from AT&T. Currently paying $52 until I think May or June where it goes back up to $57 (upgraded for $5 off for 6 months). Speedtest.net gives me (although the test server is a comcast one): On Speedtest.att.com it gave me: Now to compare the speed on the Switch. First is the Wi-fi speed. The thing is it fluctuates heavily. It could be 5mbps at the highest and around 2mbps or lower. The upload is always low but this is from recently checking it before I got the wired connection working. Be sure to block out the IP Address before sharing if you're sharing a screenshot of the Switch speed test. And this is the speed that I got when the wired connection started working. A whole lot better. Just something a little extra, this is what it says my speed (sync rate) is in my router settings: In a way that will give you an idea on what my connection is currently. On the Wi-fi side it's something they should fix. Share your speeds. Something unrelated when I was going through my Switch's SD Card on my computer for the pictures. It's cool how the album folder separates the pictures into different folders depending on the year, month and day you take a screenshot. An example would be, let's say you took 20 pictures in March scattered throughout the month. Three on launch, five on the 7th, four on the 20th, and eight on the 30th. It would be separated like this: Inside the Album Folder 2017 -the year Inside that would be a 3 Folder (the month of March) Inside that would be another 3 Folder, a 7 Folder, a 20 Folder and a 30 Folder (Indicating the days in that month) And inside those folders would be the screenshots taken on those respective days during that month I think every pic was 1280 x 720 as jpeg pictures. I'm sure that last thing was known already but I thought I'd share all that. My part 10 of BOTW will be up later on today.
  21. Just a poll to gauge the interest of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which releases this Friday. Who will get it on Friday? Who will wait until later to buy it? Who will not be getting it at all? Also, be sure to join us on Thursday night at 10pm EST for some regular Mario Kart 8 action.
  22. Alright so, I could be completely wrong about this, and every single person who decides to pay for the subscription fee will also have an ethernet adapter, and will never use wifi on the go for online gaming. The Switch is a wifi-only console without the purchase of a third-party accessory to add an ethernet connection for the dock. Nintendo won't even make this adapter themselves and didn't include a standard ethernet port on the dock but they're going to charge a monthly fee to play their games online? many of those people will be on a wireless connection which is inferior and will in many cases ruin the online gaming experience for others (which you're paying for by the way) Will there be some kind of requirement for joining online games? they'd better consider good incentives in other places to make this work, free games, discounts, etc, and I'm not talking NES games that everyones purchased and re-purchased countless times already.
  23. Saw these two GoNintendo articles coming from Square Enix's CEO, Yosuke Matsuda about the Switch. Source: http://gonintendo.com/stories/277462-square-enix-considering-what-games-to-port-to-switch and Source: http://gonintendo.com/stories/277465-square-enix-hoping-for-switch-success-planning-new-titles-compa It's good that the Switch currently has their attention with games such as "I Am Setsuna, the two Dragon Quest games, the Secret of Mana collection and Octopath Traveler." I wonder what other games they could be thinking of bringing over. The comments for both stories brought up some pretty good points like the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3. A good one would be those Kingdom Hearts collections that include every game up to 3. Maybe Dragon Quest X could make a comeback. Maybe they could localize Seiken Densetsu 3 for the Mana collection for the rest of the world. What do you guys think? Edit: Update with the entire comment from Matsuda. I think it might work for now, but im not sure if it would be too small or just the right size I was considering getting the 256 one, but that's a bit...... pricey and im not sure if i want to spend that much on a Micro SD card right now Also, here's some other accessories i was considering - not sure if i'll actually end up buying all of them though (or if i'll actually use them, in that case).... are there any other or alternatives i should consider getting at some point?* Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask those who have bought any accessories *minus the amFilm Nintendo Switch screen Protector - i plan on buying that
