  1. These Train On ads for Sun and Moon are amazing! If you haven't seen the other 2, check out on the spoiler below.
  2. In honor of Pokémon's 20th anniversary, TPCi is running monthly events to provide players with access to sixth-generation-friendly Mythical Pokémon. Several months ago, Darkrai was distributed via codes provided at retailers such as Gamestop. It was later revealed a while ago that they would be providing a second chance to get Darkrai in the next newsletter, but these plans have apparently been forsaken. Instead, Darkrai is now available in North America via a single universal code. To receive Darkrai in North America, start up Mystery Gift on a copy of any sixth-generation Pokémon game -- that is, Alpha Sapphire, Omega Ruby, X, or Y. Input the code DARKRAI20. This code only works on copies of the aforementioned games that did not previously receive Darkrai when it was being distributed via retailers earlier in the year, and it expires on October 31st. You should receive a Lv100 Darkrai holding an Enigma Berry that knows Dark Void, Ominous Wind, Nightmare, and Feint Attack. (Players in Europe or Australia have been able to do this with the code DARKRAI2016 for about a month now, and for them, this event ends on September 30th so move quickly if you haven't already done this.)
  3. I can't help but feel Pokémon GO helped a quite bit in all this.
  4. Yesterday, Nintendo updated their list of best-selling DS, Wii, 3DS, and Wii U games. And a lot of other stuff, but I don't care about that, this isn't about that. Naturally, what fanbase could look at this information and go "how can I get people fighting?" but the beloved Pokémon fanbase. And so it goes: as of the third quarter of 2016, Pokémon X & Y have officially outsold Pokémon Black & White. In other words, Generation VI is one of only two generations to result in a sales increase -- the other being Generation IV. Particularly notable is the fact that X & Y did this on the Nintendo 3DS (which means it didn't have any help from the DS's gargantuan install base, like the two generations prior to it). It also did most of the legwork prior to Pokémon Go, believe it or not, so this increase is not strictly attributable to that alone (although it likely expedited the process.) On a somewhat sadder note, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have also officially outsold HeartGold and SoulSilver, which continues the curious pattern of each remake selling more than the one before it. Your guess is as good as mine for that. The full list of sales for recent-generation Pokémon games, for those who are too lazy to click the above links, is as follows (in millions): Pokémon Diamond & Pearl (17.64m) Pokémon X & Y (15.64m) Pokémon Black & White (15.62m) Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire (13.18m) Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver (12.72m) Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 (unlisted, but I think it was around 8m) Pokémon Platinum (unlisted, but I think it was around 7m) How do you feel about this? Are you happy that Pokémon is doing well financially, in spite of the onslaught brought on by Yo-kai Watch in the East? Are you upset that Generation V -- which has a very devoted fanbase -- is now the worst-selling generation in the series? Are you surprised that Generation VI performed as well as it did, considering Pokémon's usual downward trend and the smaller install base? How do you think Sun & Moon will perform? Will they ever bother with another 'third version' given Platinum and Unova 2's omission from the top ten charts? Discuss.
  5. As if there was ever any doubt after Mallow, the mid evos, and the datamine. Japanese names are apparently Junaipa, Gaogaen, and Ashirene respectively. No, we still don't know their types. The tweet's been deleted but Serebii reported on it anyway so whatever. Discuss.
  6. The Pokémon Sun & Moon demo will be available in at least some language by the end of the day. When that happens, it is almost a guarantee that the demo will be datamined. How much are you looking forward to or dreading this? Is there anything you're hoping to find out? Anything you're hoping doesn't get discovered, for one reason or another? And even if we don't get anything new from it, we'll probably at least get base stats/moveset for anything involved with the demo, which would be something. (Please try to avoid posting datamined material outside of this thread, since inevitably it's going to get posted somewhere anyway.) Discuss.
  7. http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-online-games/inkays-topsy-turvy-world/ Which Ninforian is the Inkay bouncer? Prove your worth in this flash game! My current top score is 21952.
  8. Pretty interesting, I didn't know some of the facts in this, I thought I knew pretty much what I needed to know. Cool to know there's a lot to this demo even if it really minor.
  9. I can't tell you this is an official commercial... the fact it doesn't have 500 logos stamped on it tells me it's probably not. But if it's entirely fan-made it's incredibly well done. It's more understated than anything the big N has done in years. This just isn't the kind of advertising they're doing right now, even if it's really nice to see. Either way I like it a lot, so I'm sharing. X3
  10. According to GameXplain, it's because there aren't any gyms at all. Instead there are trials, which are quests given to you by trial captains throughout the region. That's one way to shake things up!
  11. Hello. Please remember to make an effort to mark your spoilers about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon on this board in topics that are not marked as containing any sensitive about the games. If it's not information that's been officially released yet, hide it. Use the spoiler and spoiler2 buttons on the editor to hide your content as needed. Title your topics appropriately. Staff reserves the right to edit or remove your posts if you can't bother to do this. Thanks.
  12. More details and confirmation on trial captains and big Kahuna's and overall number matching the 18 types between the 2 master type bosses in game. That guy on top of the Wailord boat, looks pretty clean.
  13. according to people who've played the demo already, you now have to press the a button to enter through doors. can't even walk in like you could before wtf
  14. I saw on GoNintendo a Random Time post of the old Voice Actresses for Ash (Veronica Taylor) and Misty (Rachael Lillis) doing some short skits in their character's voices in a clip that Rachel recorded and posted on her Twitter. GoNintendo only had the last one but there were three others before it that I'll share below. These all hit me right in the nostalgia. The last one was the one on GoNintendo.
  15. Pretty nice wrap up of the first 2 hours of the game without any spoilers, they can't even discuss it cause they are not allowed to, also those responses don't come up too often in the vid. So practically no spoilers. Enjoy. Though, what I thought interesting and this bit is at the last few minutes of the vid is the power of tackle going back down to 40 from 50. (which for the longest time before X/Y it was always been a power of 40) I wonder why the flip flop?
  16. Welcome to Ninfora's new Pokémon board! It's here by popular demand and we're excited to see what you guys do with it. Whether it's about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Pokémon GO, or anything else about Pokémon, we welcome everyone to use this board to start new and in-depth discussions about the series and its products.
  17. Think it'll work in Sun and Moon?
  18. Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire - here we come!
  19. There's been ongoing back-and-forth about whether or not, in light of trending Pokémon news, previews and the upcoming release of Sun & Moon, the site should have a Pokémon board or not. To decide now and for all time I decided to make a thread poll at Chrom's suggestion. Feel free to share your opinion on why you voted either way. Editor's Note: I originally had this in General Nintendo, thank you for moving it to Feedback.
  20. Here are even more new Pokémon and characters you can find in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which release for Nintendo 3DS on November 18.
