  1. new stuff popped up in the last few days on ARMS.
  2. Seiken Densetsu Collection announced for Switch! Square Enix has announced Seiken Densetsu Collection, a collection of the first three Seiken Densetsu titles for Switch. It will launch physically and digitally in Japan on June 1 for 4,800 yen. The collection includes: Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure / Mystic Quest) – Originally launched for Game Boy on June 28, 1991 Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana) – Originally launched for Super Famicom on August 6, 1993 Seiken Densetsu 3 – Originally launched for Super Famicom on September 30, 1995 Both Seiken Densetsu 2 and Seiken Densetsu 3 support multiplayer with up to three players.
  3. http://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/monster-hunter-xx-nintendo-switch-version-teased-launch-pics-screenshots-more/ Don't take it as official, but...they seem to hint pretty hard at it. Would be cool if true, even if it'd probably take a while.
  4. I haven't even heard of GameTruck before, but it's good to see Nintendo is keeping active with putting the Switch into people's hands since that's usually a big factor when it comes to deciding whether or not to purchase something like this (I convinced my brother to get one after I showed him Breath of the Wild last week). And this says the trucks will be in 30 states so it can reach far more people than the Switch previews these past couple of months, though at the same time since it's a paid service that might end up being a moot point anyway.
  5. This week’s Nintendo Download includes the following featured content: Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ – The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is a dungeon-crawling shoot-’em-up that’s a different game each and every time you play it. The randomly generated maps are built with more than 11,000 unique room configurations, each populated with a nearly endless variety of enemies, items, challenges and secrets. Human Resource Machine - Human Resource Machine is a puzzle game for nerds. In each level, your boss gives you a job. Automate it by programming your little office worker. If you succeed, you'll be promoted up to the next level for another year of work in the vast office building. Little Inferno - Multiple nominee in the Independent Games Festival for the Grand Prize, Nuovo Award, and Technical Excellence, with honorable mentions in Best Design and Best Audio. Little Inferno is an adventure game that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace – about looking up up up out of the chimney, and the cold world just on the other side of the wall. World of Goo - World of Goo is a physics-based puzzle/construction game. The millions of Goo Balls who live in the beautiful World of Goo don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious. Virtual Console on Wii U Picross 3D – Track the numbers to uncover the hidden shape in this beloved Nintendo DS classic. Tap a chisel to eliminate blocks you think don’t belong or use a paintbrush to mark ones you think should stay. Beginners and Picross series veterans alike will love this puzzle game that’s easy to pick up, but hard to put down. Nintendo eShop sales: Nintendo eShop on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS All Monster Hunter games on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are now up to 66 percent off until 8:59 a.m. PT on March 22. Join the hunt today! 6. Seems cool that Nintendo wants to do a behind-the-scenes video series on how the game was developed.
  7. Some 3rd party games like PuyoPuyo Tetris and RIME cost $10 more on Switch than on other systems. Why is this? At least with PPT they make up for it by giving you two free keychains (I could care less about the keychains and rather it be the same price as on PS4). I really hope this doesn't become the trend with milti-platform games on Switch. The Switch is already on track to become extremely successful for Nintendo, so I feel like 3rd parties wouldn't be losing much of they price the Switch version the same as on other systems. If this does become the trend, people are just going to pick up the XBone or PS4 versions instead. This in the long run will hurt 3rd party sales on the Switch, thus make 3rd parties not want to bring their games to Switch. ...And we all know what happens when a Nintendo system doesn't get much 3rd party support (R.I.P. Wii U).
  8. There have been reports of people having desyncing issues with the joy-cons, mainly the left one. So, GameXplain went to investigate the issue and what they found is technically not a desyncing issue, but what seems to be a wireless issue. I can only wonder how much of a problem this will be for people with large hands? Hopefully Nintendo can send out an update to help fix this.
  9. Gold Mario is my favorite new addition.
  10. While the Switch doesn't have a browser to surf the web, it does have one for logging in to hotspots that require authentication, logging into your My Nintendo account, and linking social media accounts. Someone has already used an old browser exploit to hack the system. Hopefully Nintendo fixes this soon and keeps on top of it with updates, because in the end, it always leads to piracy.
  11. If only the Switch launched a with a web browser so people could have both.
  12. I remember my frustration with suspend issues on Xbox in early days of it's launch, it would often crash or suspending would mess up other parts of the firmware. Even now it still isn't flawless. PS4 didn't even have suspend at launch, which was a disappointment. Perhaps that was for the best, as when it finally did launch I experienced far less issues with it. Switch, however, has been flawless from day 1. I don't think I closed Zelda once during this first week until yesterday, and it never gave me a problem. This morning my power wentout, but because of the internal battery my game is still ready right where it left off. Even better, you can boot into the game in a matter of seconds, with no heavy loading or over-populated dashboard menus. Game suspend was one of my favorite things about this gen, and Nintendo seems to have nailed it on Switch.

  15. I was just wondering which launch games you got for your Nintendo Switch either retail or from the eShop. Feel free to share in your post unless you want to be A Nony Moose. I got Zelda and Bomberman.
  16. When I got to using Switch's Joycons I was pleasantly surprised. They have a very solid feel to them, and while I'm not a fan of buttons over a proper D-pad and the small range of the thumbsticks, I found them to be fairly good. Certainly the best portable control method we've had from any company yet. Given that nice surprise I was looking forward to my pro controller when it arrived later on Friday, most media I follow and had searched out on the subject had outstandingly positive things to say. So hooked it up almost as soon as it got here. Hooking it up was easy enough. Just like PS4, you can just plug it into the console and it syncs automatically. The shoulder buttons were great, and had a good click to them. Unfortunately my impressions were all downhill from there. The controller is super wide, to the point of being uncomfortable. My right thumb is just barely long enough to operate the right thumbstick properly. I feel bad for anyone with smaller hands than mine trying to use one. The face buttons are too soft, there's no click or firm feeling of feedback when pressed. The worst part, however, is that there is hardly any tension in the thumbsticks, right out of the gate... and this is actually a pretty serious issue. I know Switch probably isn't ever going to be the 'Pro MLG Players Choice', but that doesn't mean the controller shouldn't function that way. Proper resistance in thumbsticks is key to serious FPS play, and with how soft these operate it's not even close to current PS4 or Xbox controllers. In fact I would say the lack of stiffness is worse than PS3's. More than just that, what does this mean for ware and tear? My brother goes through controllers like crazy, his X1 controller thumbsticks lack fair resistance after about half a year of play... does that mean these would be almost resistance free at that point for him? I would like to think they're better made than that, but having now had the controller in hand, I'm just not so sure. With how soft the buttons and thumbsticks are, it honestly feels like I got this controller second hand, which is kind of ridiculous for a $70 payout... That's not to say they're unusable... I use them over the joycons, if only for the extra range of the thumbsticks and weighty, more form-filling fit in my hand. The range on the thumbsticks are actually very good, something a competitive scene could have praised if they had been more firm. And if the controller was just a little less wide, it's shape and design would be almost perfect. I also appreciate the amiibo functionality, and am glad they didn't keep that reserved to the right Joycon. The battery life is outstanding and, as I stated before the shoulder buttons are great. I'm just mostly disappointed that this big expensive controller feels like it's been worn-out as soon as you get it out of the box. TL;DR: The Joysticks are surprisingly good, and the Pro controller surprisingly lackluster, in my opinion. What is everyone else's experience with this controller so far? Edit: Having written this post from my general overall thoughts in the last the last couple of days, rather than outwardly making effort to think about how it felt while using the controller, I now realize I was slightly over-critical. Using it now, while purposefully thinking about how it feels, the face buttons aren't that bad. Though I would certainly still call them very soft, and much softer than I would like from a brand new controller, there is indeed a firm sensation of pressing the button overall. The thumbsticks also gave me a worse initial impression than I feel is accurate, but not by a lot. Testing it side by side with other current gen controllers, as well as the Wii classic controller, I can tell a huge difference between them, which is probably why it felt so jarring and gave the impression of being worse than it actually is. My complaint about the width of the controller still stands, even after a couple of days I'm still getting used to it. But I should note that the rest of the controller's form is almost perfect, IMO.
  17. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/03/gamestop_describes_nintendo_switch_launch_as_one_of_the_strongest_in_recent_years Strong demand for system per GS.
  18. I posted this in another thread, but I feel this needs its own. If you'be been using the dock, you might want to check your Switch for scratches. OMFG!!!! I just looked at my Switch after it being in the dock.... PIC: That's it!!! I am no longer using the the dock until Nintendo does something about this. FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!! BTW, this happened just form putting the system in and taking it out normally. Nintendo needs to be made aware of this and needs to fix it!!!. I can only imagine how scratched those systems they had at the Nintendo Switch Preview Events are. O_O EDIT: Other reports of this happening... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=231456855#post231456855
  19. Link: http://gonintendo.com/stories/275139-friend-codes-return-on-switch I don't mind FCs being there as long as it's just an option. Hopefully we'll be able to add friends via Nintendo account IDs/NNIDS. Oh, it seems like you can add friends you've added in Miitomo...?
  20. Save game data on the Switch is saved to the system (not game cards) and can not be transferred to a micro SD card... I wonder if this is because they are planning to add cloud saves with their paid online service? I just hope we can move save data to the SD card in the future.
  21. So, for some reason gaming press sites have been tasting Switch game cards and saying they taste unusually bitter. This has lead some to believe that Nintendo did this on purpose to keep kids from eating them. At first I as like "Alright, they can't taste that bad. They can't taste any worse than DS/3DS game cards" Now I'm curious as hell if they really taste that bad and if Nintendo did this on purpose. Damn it! My curiosity is going to make me have to try this myself. >_<
  22. I'm honestly surprised no one made a topic about this since we haven't seen anything from the Switch's eShop until now. This details what pops up when you come out of sleep mode or when you turn on the Switch (Featured News), what's in the News tab, the eShop interface, features and how to merge your eShop wallets from the 3DS and/or Wii U. The eShop interface reminds me of the eShop area on Nintendo.com look-wise. I could see it changing in the future when VC games hit. Discuss or no?

  24. UPDATE: VOEZ hitting NA eShop on Switch on March 9th... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flyhigh Works is bringing Rayark International Limited's most recent music/rhythm game VOEZ to the JPN eShop on Nintendo Switch. No word on if this will be F2P (IAPs) like the mobile version. Link: http://www.nintendolife.com/games/nintendo-switch/voez/news It has been confirmed that the game will be available on launch day. Link: http://gonintendo.com/stories/274646-japan-multiple-eshop-titles-confirmed-for-switch-launch-day This is awesome and I really hope it hits the NA eShop. While I've yet to actually play this game, I have played Rayark's first music/rhythm game Cytus, which I absolutely love and highly recommend (100+ songs for FREE). VOEZ looks to be just as fun to watch as it is to play. I'm mean just LOOK AT THIS SHIT!!!!
