  1. 🔗https://themixgames.com/games/rugrats This looks great, especially the HD mode, which looks like an actual episode of the cartoon! Also, it's really cool that this will also be releasing on an actual NES cartridge. The only Rugrats game I own is Rugrats The Movie on GBC (Though I have rented 1 or 2 others), which I got around when the first movie came out. I know most of the Rugrats game from back-in-the-day weren't that great, but this looks like something I might have to pick-up (no sure about getting it on NES or not). I love these babies so much! <3 I'll never forget watching the first episode when Rugrats premiered and seeing the first movie in theaters as a kid. Rugrats has always been my favioret Nicktoon, though I do think that Hey Arnold! was the best. Now, don't get me started on that hot garbage that is the new Rugrats on P+ (I've mentioned before how bad it is during our Mario Kart nights). T_T
  2. For all those that missed out, here's your 2nd chance! I was lucky enough to get one New Year's Day last year. I dozed off on New Year's eve and woke up around 2am and decided to check one of the stock checker sites. I saw that 2 Target stores near me had stock (1 with 1 in stock and another with 2 in stock). I went to the one that had 2 in stock and waited until they opened with another guy who showed up not long after I arrived. Anyway, I hope that everyone that wanted a NES Classic is able to get one this time around.
  3. Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka, the composer on classic Nintendo games, such as Mertoid, Kid Icarus, and Earthbound has released his very fist album called Django under the name "Chip" Tanaka. Listen to more here: https://chiptanaka.bandcamp.com/releases Man, this album is so good!!! I can definitely here some Earthbound vibes in some of these songs, especially Django. May favorite song so far is Pulse Ride. DAT BEAT @1:40!!!! <3 ^_^
  4. First off... Not many at Nintendo thought this was going to me a hit? SERIOUSLY!? How could you of all companies not know this was not going to be a massive hit (especially, since how big retro gaming has become over the past few years)? You guys literally wrote the book on selling our childhoods back to us. Anyway, I'm glad someone realized their mistake and said there would going be shortages. I never really realized how hard it would be to get the box art for games, given copyrights and third-parties. I assume this is why VC games on the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U don't feature box art? I'm just glad they managed to get the box art for the Classic Edition, cuz It's more pleasing to look at than a title screen. Plus, most people associate these games to their box / cart. art.
  5. Did you guys know Sunsoft was still around? I sure didn't. Looks like they're teaming up with Inti Creates to create a remake of the very first Blaster Master game on NES. Set to release in Spring 2017, the team is focused on creating a faithful pixelated experience that utilizes the tech of the 3DS to update the experience for a new audience. So far we have some promotional art and a series of screenshots to go on. Looks promising. I love the NES original, but I never got past Level 2 since it's such an expansive game and there's no save feature, so I'm really hoping they add one. What do you guys think about this? Will you be picking it up?
  6. Not 100% sure if this real or if it has been faked (looks pretty legit to me), but someone has hacked the NES Classic Edition to play more games than the 30 included (video below). Of course, people where going to do this. It doesn't look like there's anything Nintendo can do about this, besides releasing systems with newer firmware to make it harder to hack. I wonder if the system could be updated through the micro USB port like the NES AVS from retroUSB? Though, if so, this update couldn't be forced, since would have to be done manually. Also, If it can be updated, I wonder if Nintendo would consider adding more games to it? Obviously you'd have to pay to get the new games, but I have a feeling this would eventually end up online and people would just pirate the update. So, even if it could be updated to add more games, Nintendo most likely wouldn't do it for that reason. Edit: Apparently, the Famicom Mini has already been hacked.
