  1. Nintendo and LEGO have announced a new Animal Crossing collab, with more details coming soon... I kind of hate how everythig LEGO nowadays is licensed, but this looks pretty cool. Will we actually see LEGO minfigs of all 400+ AC charters? I wouldn't be surprised if they released them all via "blind-bags". 🔗https://www.lego.com/en-us/themes/animal-crossing/about

T: U: V: W: X: Y: Z: *New trailer gives us our first look at the game's box art (See 3rd trailer) *New artwork shows new character customization, including new noses, hair styles, skin tones, eyes, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not sure if I can do another Animal Crossing game. I still play Pocket Camp and one thing I love about it, is that there's not that big commitment of a full AC game (If you know what I mean). However, Pocket Camp did leave me wanting more. With that said, I'll most likely end up getting New Horizons and get sucked right back in once I start playing. I love the look of this game, all the new customization features, and how they brought crafting from Pocket Camp to the main game. I also really like all the new outfits and character customization (That round nose is pretty cute. ^_^). I kind of wish that this game would connect to Pocket Camp, like letting visitors visit your camp from the mobile game, right from your island in New Horizons (this would be perfect since Harvey from New Leaf's Welcome amiibo update is back) and transfer items (clothing, furni, etc.) from Pocket Camp to New Horizons. Too bad they scrapped connectivity between the two games after announcing it back when they announced they were working on Animal Crossing for mobile. Here's hoping they might reconsider in the future or at least add some kind of connectivity with the Nintendo Switch Online app, kind of like what Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate did (Having an online photo album/journal accessible from it would be pretty cool). What I really would like to see in New Horizons is, all these fun little events like in Pocket Camp and/or just add or send out new items for special occasions. Oh...And DJ K.K. better be back!
  3. On 4/14 Animal Crossing celebrated it's 20th anniversary!... Hard to believe it's already been 20 years, since the JPN only N64 game. I'm hoping Nintendo has plans to do something for AC's 20th and doesn't let Zelda's 35th completely overshadow it, because AC has become one of Nintendo's big franchises. I remember when I first saw the GCN game... It just seemed like some dumb kiddy game and I never really thought much of it. Then I saw that a new version was being released for the DS and I was like "They're putting that dumb kiddy game on the DS? WHY?!" So, fast forward to the Summer of 2006 and I was looking for a new DS game, since I had just upgraded to the new DS Lite. I was watching some DS game reviews on IGN and I just happed to watch the one for Animal Crossing: Wild World, despite previously thinking how the series seemed "kiddy". I went into the video no really knowing anything about AC and after watching it, I thought it could be fun and started thinking about what I could do in the game. Not long after, I went to Best Buy and picked up the game along with New Super Mario Bros. with some extra money I had. AC:WW was that game I decided to play first and not long after moving into my town, I immediately fell in love with the game. I later on went back a played the original GCN version (not including the JPN only N64 game), but didn't stick with it for long. Manly because I already had a town going on the DS and plus it was my little bother's game (he had recently gotten it for Xmas) and I just made my own villager in his town to see what the game was like. A few years later I got the Animal Crossing: City Folk/Wii Speak bundle on the Wii when it released, since I loved WW on the DS and by this time I had done everything in the game. While I played the hell out of CF, I feel I didn't play it as much as WW on the DS. With WW I was constantly coming back at different times of the day to see what was going on, since it was on a portable system that I could easily pick up whenever. With CF, I'd usually just only have one play session during the day. That's why I was super excited to see there series back on a portable system with Animal Crossing: New Leaf on 3DS. I've currently put over 440 hrs. into New Horizons on Switch, over 540 hrs. into New Leaf on 3DS, probably just as much or close to into City Folk on Wii and, most likely way more into Wild World on DS. I'm not really sure why I love Animal Crossing so damn much, because when I try to tell people why I like AC, it sounds like the most boring game ever. You just have to try the game to know why people like it so much and you'll also immediately know if it's for you or not. For me, I guess it's just one of those good chill type of games, where you can customize things the way you want and do whatever at your own pace. One thing I really like about AC is, when you first log on each day, all your villagers are so excited and so happy to see you. It's just a really nice feeling. Happy 20th, Animal Crossing! I know there a quite a bit of fans that are disappointed with how many things are missing in New Horizons compared to previous games (the comments section of that tweet is so depressing), but here's hoping the AC team is listening and will continue to update it to make it a game that fans new and old will absolutely love.
  4. K.K. Slider made a surprise appearance during the Splatoon 2 concert at Nintendo Live 2019, to perform the Animal Crossing: New Horizons theme.... I know Nintendo had live concerts with Squid Sisters and Off the Hook in the past, but there's just something about seeing K.K. performing live. ^_^ OMG! K.K. PLAYING THE SPLATOON THEME!!! <3 *First part of the video is the K.K. performance
  5. Coming from Nintendo's recent finical briefing... They are currently working on an update for AC: Pocket Camp to "broaden the scope of gameplay". Anyone here still play AC: Pocket Camp? I check in every once in a while for a minuet or two. I've recently been collecting Splatoon and Pokemon items. It's nice to see that they're adding more to the gameplay, because I felt they took most of the Animal Crossing out of Animal Crossing with Pocket Camp (basically a very lite ver. of AC). Though, I still like collecting items and decorating my campsite. I really hope this update makes the game really worth playing, because when they announced AC for mobile, they said it would connect with future AC games and we know AC is coming to the Switch in 2019, so...

  7. I honestly thought there was Honest Game Trailer for this game, well here it is.
  8. Just ahead of the Switch release, Redd finally has the last painting I need for the mueseum! LET IT BE REAL! No bug bites! Share your triumphant stories of hard finds in the AC world.
  9. Animal Crossing is a series of idyllic life-simulators published by Nintendo. Originating in 2001 with a primitive Nintendo 64 version of a game we later received as Animal Crossing for Gamecube, the series went on to become one of Nintendo's best-selling new franchises -- even obtaining keys positions within Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., among other games. The most recent entry within this series is Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS, and as such it's the most likely to be discussed, but feel free to talk about every other game in the series here: from the original Gamecube classic, to the virtual console release of Wild World, or even Happy Home Designer! Because this series is heavily oriented around a strong sense of community, especially in more recent games, I believe a general discussion thread is fully warranted so that users can easily help each other obtain furniture, villagers, stock prices, or even just fun multi-player experiences. As the game is fairly old, threads about these subjects are not likely to survive on their own, but consolidated -- and especially with the impending update -- it should be more than practical to establish a nice little Ninfora Animal Crossing community. News: (will be cleared out every month or so, probably) The "Welcome amiibo" update for New Leaf is live! This adds a number of new features such as the campground, none of which are well-documented right now. A fifth set of amiibo cards, featuring fifty characters not present in New Leaf, is scheduled to release soon. The current release date is November 3rd in Japan, November 11th in Europe, and December 2nd in North America. Here is a list of the new fifty villagers. An Animal Crossing direct was held on November 2nd at 7am PDT. Please discuss it here. Animal Crossing: Wild World released on the Wii U virtual console on October 13th in North America, making it a nice time to rediscover the series's cozy DS entry. It was slightly edited so that Nookington's no longer requires multi-player, but all multi-player functionality has otherwise been stripped out. November is here, which means mushrooms will spawn on the ground every day (when possible) and the Nooklings will be selling the Harvest series all month in New Leaf. Other New Leaf events this month include: Harvest Festival: November 24th Fishing Tourney: November 19th The Ninfora Animal Crossing community: (users will be listed in the format [User] - Town: 3DS friend code, dream address (optional).) [Chickadee] - Gardenia: 0001-3835-6640 [Chrom] - Iris: 2234-7518-2554 [Iridium] - Prox: 4038-5999-4824 Resources: (feel free to make suggestions) Official series portal Official Animal Crossing amiibo card list Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki New Leaf Café guide (Thonky) New Leaf Crazy Redd guide (Thonky) New Leaf Stalk Market guide (GameFAQs) Happy Home Designer DLC list (NSider2) That website that plays Animal Crossing music appropriate to your local time (Tane) Discuss.
  10. Kind of weird to see. They went out of their way to make the amiibo compatible with the English version Animal Crossing despite no announcement of Monster Hunter Stories releasing. The first big hint, I'd say.
  11. Remember the Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct that they announced forever ago? Well it's happening soon, so here's a reminder.
  12. Maintenance for Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been scheduled for 9 PM ET - 11 PM ET on 10/31. Update incoming? I would assume the ND about the update would hit first... So, maybe it's coming really soon? Anyway, it look's like we won't have to wait too much longer for the update. ^_^ Link: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/network/en_na/network_status.jsp
  13. http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/kirby-canvas-curse-wii-u http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/animal-crossing-wild-world-wii-u In North America, Nintendo DS titles Kirby Canvas Curse and Animal Crossing: Wild World will be arriving on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U starting this Thursday.
  14. Another new feature has been announced for ACNL's fall update... You will able to take pics of your favorite Animal Crossing characters using the camera on the 3DS. I'm not sure if this will require AC amiibo cards, which will act like AR cards, though I'd assume it'd just work like how you take pics of pokémon in Pokémon GO (without the need for cards). Edit: On the other had since this feature is called amiibo camera, you might need the amiibo cards.
  15. Just wondering. Believe it or not I have been recently playing it again and that upcoming update for the amiibo thing didn't have anything to do with it.
