  1. I have beaten that game about 6 times. I wanted to sequence break that game as much as humanly possible.
  2. Good day, I hope you've all been well. I live in a new place, with new friends, and a lot of new experiences. I haven't been here in a very long time. I'm very glad to see that this community is still here! That's definitely the case for me and FF6. I have much higher tolerance somehow for developing the Jobs in FF5, however, and that could be argued as tedious.
  3. If Banjo has a stall-then-fall D-air (Beak Buster) and Rat-A-Tap Rap is also a multihitting F-air just like his B-air, he might not be too strong. Stall-then-falls are bad for ledgeguarding and multihit 'flurry' attacks can be fallen out of or escaped before reaching their full damage potential. There are a couple of aspects that might be included with the Special Moves we saw that, in my opinion, would make him a lot better. First would be if he has enough time to pick up Kazooie's grenade eggs so that he can carry around a bomb projectile to threaten opponents with. Second, it would be fantastic if his Golden Feathers/Wondering side special had horizontal recovery utility and didn't just drop him like a rock the moment he uses it in midair (which would be true to the Banjo games). Either way I think his moves look really fun, and I'm looking forward to playing him a ton when he drops.
  4. I think I'm going to pick this game up with a stylus within a couple of weeks after launch. It looks great. I'm just going to have to learn how to recognize and dodge the many 'Kaizo' levels and hands-free musical levels.
  5. This would be a dream come true for me. I spent my childhood drawing and creating Zelda dungeons on paper and having my friends play them.
  6. I love Breath of the Wild, and think it's great that they're following up on the story, but I really do hope we get traditional underground caverns and temples for dungeons again; that'd be fantastic. It'd fit the spooky atmosphere the game is going for really well. I wasn't much a fan of the Divine Beasts in BotW, but I might like them more if there's a bunch of scary horror stuff deep underground where they were excavated from, kind of like Hell (didn't Demise and his demons arise from underneath Hyrule)? There's so little to go on right now but I'd love if the game went in that direction!
  7. When it comes to teal, turquoise, sea green and various other colors that ride the line between green and blue, my gf usually sees the distinction in color better than I do; I tend to mix up green and blue and see it as one or the other (usually the opposite of what she sees).
  8. Stuff revealed I've seen so far (that I can remember):
  9. Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 3 footage would be rgeat
  10. Doom Eternal and maybe some kind of update or tidbit about Elder Scrolls 6 was all I was really interested in seeing. Thankfully they showed plenty of the former. It looks great.
  11. Platforming in Doom Eternal looks great. The balance between high-speed level navigation via platforming and the combat appears to still hold up well compared to the previous Doom. I also like the bright, colorful power-ups. The new sub-weapons I saw (flamethrower, snipper thingy) also looked great. I'm looking forward to playing around with all the new stuff!
  12. Well, it's not a particularly long list, but I'll talk about my impressions of the few games I was actually interested in from Devolver Digital and Bethesda, as well as Microsoft titles that as far as I know will be available cross-platform for me to enjoy on PS4 or PC. DEVOLVER: BETHESDA: MICROSOFT:
  13. Looking forward to seeing them drop the new DLC Fighter trailer for Smultimate!
  14. Zero Mission is one of the best games remakes I've played, next to Resident Evil ('REmake') on GameCube. Having a map in Metroid is a must. Metroid I and II both desperately needed their remakes just for that alone.
  15. I just can't get into Pokémon competitive stuff, but if they keep adding new cooperative multiplayer elements to the series like the Raids, I'm interested. If the Raids are fun I might pick this up.
  16. Definitely not going to be able to do it today. Yeah I'd love if Tuesday (tomorrow) could be an "Arenamiibo" Tuesday. I have two or three NFC Fighters that could use some training in the thunderdome.
  17. I have to do some important errands that will probably run past 9 EST; if you guys are playing when I return I'll try to join in.
  18. Yes, that sounds good. I agree.
  19. I might be able to play at 9 or 10 EST, sure. I've been interested in trying my amiibos out in the arena.
  20. Yeah, I think Pokémon Trainer has a really boring Final Smash. The generic beam is pretty lame... I also prefer Rock Smash to Flare Blitz, it was great for ripping through opponents' shields, and had utility as a means of halting Charizard's momentum in the air. But Squirtle's back Squirtle is awesome
  21. This type of DLC is right up my alley, cats make everything better. Still working on my first base game playthrough though
  22. @ Toon Link I mained Toon Link in Brawl and then didn't use him as much in Smash 4, I missed Young Link and was tired of Toon Link. I like his new Side Smash attack more than the old one now, also I like his new attack sound effects. @ Young Link This was my Secondary character in Melee, and I never thought I'd see him again after he got replaced in Brawl. Having him back made me very happy. I like having both him and Toon Link as options. I prefer Young Link the most out of all the Links. @ Bowser Bowser in Ultimate is my favorite version of the character, now I play him more often. @ Mr. Game & Watch I really don't like how they changed his Up Air and Forward Air attacks. I don't use him a lot anymore. @ Sonic Okay in Brawl, much better in Smash 4 and Ultimate. I love how he plays. One of my most used characters during Smash 4. @ Duck Hunt One of my worst characters in all of Smash, unfortunately. Not particularly attached to the character either. @ Incineroar I find working with his recovery to be a somewhat entertaining challenge. He feels really high risk, high reward. Has a pretty fun moveset. @ Charizard He became my favorite Heavy in Smash 4. I really loved practicing Tippers with his tail (Back Air, Neutral Air, tilts). All of his special moves were useful in some way. Now that he's connected to Trainer again as part of a group, I like him, but not as much as I did in Smash 4. I really miss him having Rock Smash, it helped me out a lot in 4.
  23. I finally moved on from a really horrible job that was stressing me out after the first half. Relaxed and spent time with my family for the latter half. In a couple months I'm starting Spanish tutoring at my college. Also accidentally spent a bit too much because of unexpected car repairs.... Overall it was good though. Nyan and I's pet cat, DK, died a couple months ago and in that time this cat that roams the neighborhood (but belongs to our neighbor) has started to hang out around our home, and she's helped us remain in good spirits after DK's passing. The neighbors have 5 dogs and 2 cats and they neglect this one and barely pay attention to it; we've dubbed her Tiramisu. Kitty in action:
  24. Thanks, I also thought you used Marth well, but I found your Richter the most challenging to fight tbh Working through all your traps and projectiles was quite a workout. My order of FE character preference: Lucina Marth Roy Chrom Corrin Ike Robin I don't enjoy Corrin as much as I did in Smash 4 for some reason, and I don't like the recoveries that Chrom and Ike have. I don't like any of Robin's special moves, but using the Levin Sword is really fun. She's also really slow, and while I don't dislike slow characters on principle, I generally prefer faster ones even if they don't hit as hard. I mained Marth in Melee and secondaried him in Brawl and Smash 4 (at which point I took up maining Lucina). Lucina and Marth have my favorite array of moves and they're also my favorite characters out of the bunch. I'm glad that Lucina and Marth have become more distinguishable from one another over time; I was getting tired of Lucina being known as 'worse Marth' by a lot of people. Roy is just really fun. He's speedy, AND it feels really satisfying to hit with his powerful moves.
