  1. The above is pretty on point and how I felt even just a few matches into the first Testpunch, let alone the full game. I still gotta put more time into it but what I've played thus far I've had fun with and even replaced my main from the Testpunch. I was all in on Ninjara and now I'm more a fan of Kid Cobra with Ninjara close in tow.
  2. So it looks like Hori's Splatoon 2 chat headset that initially was revealed for Japan will be heading to the west as well:
  3. TIME - Why 'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' Has a Character Designed by Tetsuya Nomura NintendoEverything - Takahashi on Xenoblade 2 – visual style, more exploration than X, no multiplayer, side quests, more So the above links are the interviews with Monolith Soft founder, Tetsuya Takahashi, that the information below was pulled from. There's a lot more interesting stuff within the articles regarding XC2 but there is also some other tidbits referencing other games like the Xenogears, Xenoblade Chronicles X and even mention of Baten Kaitos. Anyway, while we got quite a bit of information on XC2 at E3 I don't think we got any word regarding this bit of information on the story and why the protagonists are fighting so hard to reach Elysium. Though not much in detail is revealed about what Elysium is or what happens if/when the characters reach it it is mentioned that part of the reason they want to get there is because the continent sized living creatures that make up the game's world, the titans, are set to reach the end of their lifespan soon. It's probably an easy guess that somehow getting to Elysium could result in some event that keeps the titans from dying. In addition, from the NintendoEverything interview a comparison was made regarding XC2 and XCX with regards to exploration and Takahashi mentions that XC2 will go far beyond what XCX was able to offer. The entire game world will be seamless when you're on a titan with the only transitions happening when traveling from one titan to another. Supposedly the only reason this is the case is because Takahashi suggests flying through the cloud sea wouldn't be very fun each time you want to go to another titan. It's still a pretty big thing to consider because XCX was an absolutely massive game and it was entirely seamless save for I think two areas: The first being the Blade Barracks, the second being the point of no return endgame area. Otherwise, there was no transition or loading interruption anywhere even in natural interiors like caverns or constructed ones like Orrh Sim Castle. So yeah, get ready to sink another 80+ hours into a Monolith Soft game later this year.
  4. I can't remember what other game it was but a while back another mobile game used footage of a Nintendo title to promote their trash app as well.
  5. Yeah, kinda sucked that DCs started to hit right at the end of the tourney like that. Some pretty good races last night though, I just wish I could find a build that I'm comfortable with. I also think I might have been the reason Joe quit last night. I think it was the first time we were on the Wild Woods track and it began on the second lap. I got a red shell from the item box prior to the ramp and due to my own screwed up drifting I fell off the track. When I came back Joe had just hit the ramp and was floating off to the next section so I fired my shell and down he went into the abyss. On the final lap, the same scenario happened again except this time I got caught on a banana peel and once again Joe zoomed by, took off on the ramp and so I let loose my red shell that time too and once again down into the abyss he goes. That was his last race of the night. I wasn't even trying to gun for him in particular since he usually leads most races, just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time... I mean it was convenient for me, but yeah.
  6. Wonder what more they've left to talk about? Still looking forward to what they have in store for this one.
  7. Last night had some pretty wild races though I had a good night. Poor Alienboy though, so many victories snatched away from last minute item destruction.
  8. So this is getting a CE? Well, whatever works I guess. I'm surprised they decided to make those statue figures though instead of just pumping out a set of amiibo for the game.
  9. That's a pretty legit list of games though I would have had Super Street Fighter II instead of Turbo.
  10. Star Fox 2!? Friggin wow! So yeah, I'm definitely getting one of these.
  11. Though I had a couple of opportunities I didn't bite on the NES Classic. Now this... this I would jump in for no doubt!
  12. Good to know I suppose, just kinda weird Capcom has been so flaky on just about anything Monster Hunter related for Nintendo platforms. I read an article the other day that apparently MHStories wasn't even at their both at E3 either? And it also sounds like there's no hope for the MHStories amiibo in the west either.
  13. That Blade Strangers cover art is pretty great!
  14. Man, NoE really went all out for their special edition. Quite jealous, quite jealous indeed!
  15. This I agree with if the time to release is a pretty long ways off from the point of announcement.
  16. On the one hand it could have an impact, on the other hand Nintendo seems pretty adamant on maintaining certain price points so it could very well be something that exists in a vacuum where Sega has much cheaper games via this method than Nintendo or anyone else has via the Virtual Console. But you never know, Nintendo wants to be a more flexible company according to an interview regarding why they agreed to cross platform multiplayer so maybe they can bend on this too?
  17. So far I've only completed Grand Prix on Lv. 2, lol. But it helped me get better acclimated to different fighters and how to even play as I went along. Ninjara was my favorite during the Test Punch, Kid Cobra has just about taken that spot though. We'll see how much my favorite characters list changes as I move up level by level.
  18. Would be pretty amazing if so. Nintendo first party has been killing it for 2017 up to now and going forward. 2018 would be incredible to see stacked with a bunch of big games and reveals as well.
  19. Would be nice to see something of the Switch version but more info on the game in general is a plus so there's something to take away from it.
  20. Attack on Titan was so great this season and I'm glad they're not doing such a ridiculously long hiatus for the next one this time. So many impactful scenes, seeing awesome moments masterfully animated and with the music in many of them... just some of the best stuff around.
  21. Wait... River City Knights of Justice is coming out in NA this week!? I could have sworn that was just recently announced, right? I'm almost positive I saw a recent thread PB or someone made about it just a couple of weeks back or so. O_o
  22. We saw it with Breath of the Wild last year and before that was years earlier with the Wii's formal appearance at E3 2006. (can't remember if such a thing happened for Twilight Princess in 2004) But once again those at attendance at E3 made a mad dash for Nintendo's booth when the doors opened on the final day of E3 in order to play the new hotness which this time around was Super Mario Odyssey.
