  1. Potential for a physical release of this game in the works now, too.
  2. I need to jump back into this and get back to workin' my boy Kid Cobra! Looking forward to what new stuff is on the way, that's for sure.
  3. I still have a few of the other Layton games to beat but they've been pretty fun so I've no real reason to pass on this.
  4. I enjoyed XCX for what it was but it makes me wonder what kind of game it would have been if they stuck with the original idea of focusing on characters and story.
  5. There's no reason why sports games shouldn't be on it. Given the kind of attention and TLC that they give other platforms, while I doubt the Nintendo iteration of these games will sell on par with the competition they could certainly stand to be a lot more successful than some would believe and actually build a base that's more attractive to those games. Once upon a time EA's sports games did well on Nintendo platforms and even on Wii they found some success until sort of self sabotaged themselves with odd additions/changes. The problem here though would be EA relying on a sports game as a test bed for future support, although PB pointed out it isn't just Fifa but then what else do they have?
  6. GN - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 composer shares a detailed look at the immense scope of the project Mitsuda who is composing the soundtrack for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been doing updates on his team's progress for a while now right on up to wrapping up recording not too long ago. If Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X were anything to go by it could be rightly assumed that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be a massive game full of content as well. However, just getting an idea of the work going into the game's soundtrack might lend some idea to just how big it might be. Check out the following:
  7. Even if I can save some items through the dog that's better than nothing, predetermined checkpoints are even better. I may give this a shot when it comes around in that case.
  8. The Flame in the Flood seems kind of neat. But I hope it's not one of those survival games where if you die you have to start ALL over. I got Don't Starve on Wii U and while it's fun it's pretty difficult and if you die you DIE, that's it! I think I managed to make it to my first winter one time and I didn't even survive it. I didn't even starve like the game says, I was killed! But no seriously, it might be n00b tier but I prefer not to start all over when I die. Let me continue from a certain point and learn from my mistakes to progress further from that point rather than way back from the beginning.
  9. I'm still rockin' the og Cosmo Black 3DS so I'm due for an upgrade, lol. Though I was looking at the New 2DS XL as well but this... this changes er'rythang!
  10. I still need to jump into this game, I already have the Switch App so I can start getting some of these things. My bro already got it, I've just been trying to play through some of my other games first.
  11. I checked out a gameplay video since the trailer was interesting enough. Definitely getting some Dead Space-ish is vibes from it but it actually looks pretty darn good, too.
  12. I wonder what the specific ratings issue was? Was something found within the game that the ESRB missed that would cause a change in its rating or something?
  13. It's like the Wii all over again, lol. But yeah both of those devices don't even come off the same as the Switch/Joy con. It's almost like their entire case is based on the controllers being able to attach/detach from the unit and even their solutions are completely different from how it works on Switch with its Joy cons, among a myriad of other things.
  14. Must have been, cause I mean... Mayo? Over Ketchup? In a world where Trump is president this also confirms that we are in the worst of timelines!!
  15. Definitely gettin' banjo kazooie vibes. I'm thinking about getting it, besides Jools and his people have been pretty consistent with having some fun eshop games so I'll probably give this a chance too.
  16. Reading just the title I was wondering what was the significance of this. Then reading your post gave me a facepalm moment for not realizing it considering how much I love Dodgeball. This is actually pretty cool ^_^
  17. No idea how much it did in the U.S. Quick google search just showed Nintendo's earnings release from April 2016 with the game selling over 1.56M units in the west. Around that time in total it did over 3M which is pretty darn good considering it's a spinoff. The update on european sales you posted is the only update I can find on western sales since then.
  18. For some reason I saw Rampage and initially assumed the monster game from Midway (I think it was Midway) rather than Retro City Rampage.
  19. That's pretty impressive. I wonder how much it has done in total? Nintendo did recently put out their earnings report for the most recent quarter but I don't remember seeing updated figures for this one.
  20. As people have been discussing, the frame rate just seemed weird. Like, I could follow everything that was going on and there are a few action scenes in particular that involve Sato which look great but also feel a bit sluggish because it seems so framey and not very fluid. I don't mind it too much especially after watching Knights of Sidonia and Blame and generally a lot of other CG anime but I figure that just comes with the territory. Anyway, if there is more to Ajin that simply hasn't been localized on Netflix then I hope they get around to it eventually. Really enjoyed it and that ending has me wanting more. By the by, I've been marathoning Aldnoah.Zero lately. I'm surprised it's rated a bit low on Netflix as I'm really enjoying it so far. The only thing about it I'm really not all that wild about is how emotionless and monotone the protagonist is. I mean, I get that's his personality or whatever but it always bothers me when they make anime main characters act in that manner without any real reason for it; or at least no reason I've been able to see so far. It's just really off putting and makes most conversations he has with other characters so awkward because he acts like a robot and seems almost completely naive to simple concepts like human interaction. I mean, it's no deal breaker but still...
  21. GoNintendo - Monolith Soft looking for a new game planner Recruitment details don't always necessarily have to mean anything specific but is interesting in the case of Monolith Soft. After all, with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 wrapping up soon to make its 2017 release date it wouldn't be out of sorts for Monolith Soft to be already working on the next project. One interview mentioned that XC2 began development before XCX was even finished from what I remember. In terms of this hiring listing, particularly with requests for those experienced with online games, fantasy settings and things like pop culture trends and whatnot this could be another case of that. I can't remember if some of those details are similar to what recruitment details prior to Xenoblade Chronicles X's eventual reveal but it does seem familiar. This especially being because of how XCX's development changed midway through to implement an avatar based storyline and online systems. Of course this could be something else entirely but it would be nice to see a conclusion to XCX based on the abundance of unanswered questions and the cliffhanger ending along with a lot of the content and artwork from the artbook showing just how much more was being planned for the game that didn't make it in for whatever reason.
  22. The updated control scheme details make it seem even more dubious, that's just odd. But yeah they could have added more games to the package. I mean, hasn't there been Namco Museum games with a lot more content on them in the past? I know at one point they used to release them in volumes with various games introduced in each one; so why not a megamix pack by now? Though I never bought it I still remember Namco Remix on Wii having like a dozen games or so some of which complete with 3D versions/remixes/etc. Then again, I'm not sure if that game release at a budget price or $50 considering all the changes.
  23. Didn't even know Monster Hunter Stories was getting a demo. That would have been a nice tidbit to throw at the end of that trailer I posted earlier or something. Anyway, I can still see the original 2DS selling as it's a fairly cheap alternative to access a giant library of games despite not having the best form factor. Might work out even better if Nintendo re-emphasizes their Selects line on 3DS and even adds new titles for it during the holidays. The 3DS family has been around long enough that they could probably do well with those who have waited this long and might be swayed by more budget friendly offerings.
  24. Releases September 8th this year...
