  1. I've made the decision to drive as Toad every time I hear Toad shade from @DLurkster .
  2. My internet was not cooperating for most of the last 20 minutes, so I couldn't continue my shenanigans. I only was able to hop in a few times, but then would get another error shortly after a battle began. I wanted to play into the issue by coming back as Dry Bones instead of continuing as Bowser Jr. Didn't work out though unfortunately. Back to not being able to drive backwards or in reverse next week. The next Mario Kart needs a no DQ mode.
  3. They can talk about Zelda for 24 hours straight as long as they lock in a date for Breath of the Wild 2 within that Spring 2023 window.
  4. Beyond November of this year, I don't recall Nintendo having any games upcoming besides "they could delay it again" Breath of the Wild 2 for Spring 2023. I imagine BCP Wave 3 will come in December to cover the month as Wave 2 has this month. It's bleak, but we all know that Nintendo is making games. It seems like the right time for a big Direct, with Nintendo being the focus, but I also thought that in June...so I'm not too hopeful that there will be an encouraging wave of news from Nintendo soon that'll start to set up next year.
  5. Always take a Giant Punch, Rest and FALCON PUNCH!!! into a crowd of opposing fighters and pray. Those are the RKO out of nowhere moments with a lot less success of actually happening. Great matches all around earlier...Didn't realize there was a Splatoon 3 theme taking place at first, and needed to learn Inklings moves on the fly. I thought 3 matches was appropriate to see through before moving on. Happy that I won as Min Min and was very surprised by DK, because I did pick him as a joke since @TKrazyO was dominating as King K. Rool. That Roll Out at the end was fully committed. I either would laugh if Jigglepuff nails someone off stage or laugh that Jigglepuff got launched...@TheBarkinHyena delivered and I should've known because I think there had been counter attempts in the match at Tortimer Island. That was a great time @purple_beard, @TheBarkinHyena and @TKrazyO.
  6. As soon as I switch to Bowser Jr. for the last two races, I get first and second...I knew it wasn't me most of the session finishing near the bottom, it was the character! On Toad's Turnpike, had a feeling that if I ran into a car, @Surge135 would pass and that's exactly what happened. At least it wasn't like New York Minute though with that damn Fireball! I'm looking forward to Battle Mode next week so I can do nefarious things without being kicked by the game.
  7. I'm available for tonight and can be around tomorrow. I'll try and hop on the game and Discord a little before 9.
  8. @DLurkster Great matches to you too, DL. Solid Heroes and Snakes throughout the night...I wanted to get more familiar with the overall roster in that session before finishing up with Bowser Jr. That player at the end who was Isabelle then went Hero made me think I should go in for an eye appointment. Those gyroids are usually tricky for me to see on top of having to keep track of myself and whatever is occurring in the selected stage. You had that one Snake too if it weren't for the Minecraft stage acting as his teammate.
  9. @TKrazyO Thanks for the offer. I've had Runbow on the Switch for a while, and do think it can make for a great game night experience. I went ahead and grabbed Kirby's Dream Buffet from the eShop while we were all talking Thursday night as well, so if there is any plan to arrange for that I would be interested. .... Also, did everyone see the news regarding the track image used for Sydney Sprint in the selection menu? Nintendo is thinking about changing it to something like this:
  10. Initially, I thought I was looking at a different depiction of Raven Beak overseeing a massive operation that was to be run by a group of Elite Chozo Soldiers. There is a point though in that it's not Raven Beak and is a different character due to the lack of consistency in presentation. Raven Beak's multiple depictions in Dread don't match with that hooded figure holding a bident. I also thought that an elaborate armor display within Ferenia was Raven Beak's, but the consistency in presentation argument would mean that too would be a sign of a different character. I went through the game yesterday evening and took screenshots of what I believe are Mawkin characters that we have yet to run into or representations of them. With the hooded figure and bottom armor not representing Raven Beak, they complete what I feel Dread may be hinting is the future Samus will face. It'll be somewhat familiar though. If Raven Beak were to be compared to Mother Brain, to continue a comparison to Super Metroid's Space Pirate hierarchy, I would say that Dread as well hints at what could be Raven Beak's "Golden Statue" leaders. If I had to guess, whomever wears the armor seen in Ferenia...That character was second in line to lead the Mawkin, now likely the leader, and I would compare this character to Ridley's status in the Space Pirates. This could be the first representation of what may end up being the main antagonist for Metroid 6, followed by the other three characters above in that game. That's if Raven Beak doesn't come back in some form...which I don't entirely rule out with the time he spent up with the technology of Itorash. This unknown character may attack Samus personally with the might of what remains of the Mawkin. It might be time for the Galactic Federation to be attacked in a more direct manner. What stands out within the Escue chamber is that these depictions of Elite Chozo Soldiers appear to be the elite of the elite and in the middle appears to be a clearly identified leader with how the statues are kneeling at its sides. I cannot tell with the statues on the farthest ends of the chamber, but the two kneeling are wearing capes (which is what I feel signifies their status above the typical Elite Chozo Soldier) and the center appears to have fabric draped to its left side. Like how the kneeling are depicted with capes signifying status, I also feel the difference in fabric position for the leader further signifies its represented status. This character would be the Draygon of the four, replacing the Evir with these caped Elite Chozo Soldiers and Elites in general. Like with the Escue chamber statuary, what jumps out in the fifth gallery image is a central character, depicted different from the other soldiers, and those soldiers appear to be following the central character. We had no run in with this hunter on ZDR, and since this character design is the most fleshed out...This would be the one I expect to see in a future Metroid game the most. I would compare this character to Kraid...ferocious and wild. I can easily imagine this character confronting Samus on the back of a wicked monster it has tamed. Considering the necklace with mineral shards and the loincloth, maybe this character will be featured with a more tribal armor design if it faces Samus. Hooded, tattered cloak...This mysterious figure would be the Phantoon of the Mawkin. Overseeing what's being done by the Chozo Soldiers and Elite Chozo Soldiers suggests prominence, but I don't feel this mystery figure is the next big bad for Metroid following Dread. I do think the bident this character is holding has function beyond as a melee weapon. Metroid 6 has great potential if Nintendo decides to go with another Mawkin character(s) as the next threat for Samus.
  11. @DLurkster...It's better that Hyena is the 4th since I still have a regular cough and would have to be muted often. I didn't reply here earlier because I had work and then dinner with some of my family, and the first notification I saw was on my phone from your Discord message which I responded to at dinner. I was willing to participate, so if there is a need for a sub again or if it's possible to expand...I'm open to joining in the future.
  12. Raven Beak would have been nice as a figma figure...It's more a pair for me, Dread Suit and Raven Beak, but now I think Raven Beak will come as a F4F instead (which I think will end up being overdone). I wonder if they tried to get approval for a Raven Beak figma and were denied. I like these more than the amiibo in details; however, I was hoping for something not already done.
  13. I can VC with how I've got my laptop and Switch set up currently. I'll just likely mute during matches. @purple_beard I usually try to main Samus, but ever since Brawl, she hasn't been the same, so with Ultimate I gravitated toward Wii Fit Trainer and then went to Min Min when she released. I tend to pick Jigglypuff, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Bowser and Captain Falcon when I want to just mess around. Now that I've had some success with Bowser Jr., I'll stick with him as a main. I also like the consistency racing as Bowser Jr. on Thursdays and smashing as him on Saturdays.
  14. Great matches tonight. I'm surprised I won a few. I didn't think Bowser Jr. would become my main in Smash Ultimate, but I guess I'll stick with him unless I want to mess around more. It helps me get some more practice in for Thursdays I guess. @TheBarkinHyena I was listening through @TKrazyO stream for a reaction to getting caught up on the rope. I wasn't sure how I landed it, but I thought it was funny to keep going until I got a little self-conscious. I didn't want to come across as dicking around too much.
  15. I should be available next week if there's a need for a sub. Sorry I didn't get to this topic sooner, haven't been near my laptop this week as I've been trying to keep myself as isolated as possible.
  16. Hopefully, I’ll be good to go by Thursday, so I can race on the new tracks with you all. Been dealing with Covid since Wednesday evening, so I wasn’t in the best condition for MK and Smash this week.
  17. Going with what's in Tour and with this being Wave 2, go with Koopa Troopa Beach 2, Choco Island 2 and Vanilla Lake 2. Nintendo may not name the tracks like that for the pass, but I think those will be the iterations they go for. Beyond SMK tracks, two city Tour tracks I think are locked in and I feel strongly about Daisy Cruiser being in Wave 2.
  18. I hope I won't be in the dark too much if I go ahead and play XC3 without beating 2, Torna and Future Connected...There is no possible way for me to beat any of them before Friday at this point, so I'll jump into XC3 with just the original under my belt. It seems Monolift Soft might have finally figured out undocked visuals, which I'm very excited about.
  19. This is my expectation now that most of July has passed and with Nintendo disappearing in June prior. Nintendo also doesn't have a game in August, so I'm thinking the week of August 22-26 which leads into the anniversary that Saturday the 27th is when Wave 2 releases.
  20. The more this gets mentioned, the more I see Nintendo doing something Nintendo and releasing Waluigi Pinball in a 2023 wave. Everyone I've seen comment on these waves wants that track. Every track from MKDS's Flower Cup (favorite single cup in MK) is on my wish list, so Desert Hills, Delfino Square and Waluigi Pinball (got Shroom Ridge, and it's my favorite track in MK8DLX). Nintendo will likely go with Tour's Waluigi Pinball, which unfortunately continues 7's hang glider launcher section....To me, it takes away from the visuals a bit when launching on to the table, but even with that Waluigi Pinball is probably my most wanted track for Deluxe. Beyond the DS Flower Cup tracks remaining, I really want to see Waluigi Stadium from Double Dash make a return and more tracks from Mario Kart 7. Piranha Plant Slide and Music Park are my least favorite tracks from 7 and they're already in Deluxe, so it's only up from there for that game in my opinion. More of 7's tracks need to break free from that lack of single player VS. That omission prevented 7 from being the best Mario Kart, because I do believe it has the best track selection.
  21. If you see any screenshots you like, you're welcome to use them for any of the videos. I have been thinking about putting clips on Twitter too from these sessions, but want to look into tags for that. Do we know who runs the @MyNinfora page? I might tag that account and hashtag everything else.
  22. A couple of these sequels this year I'm backed up on with previous entries. I'm in the middle of Bayonetta I think, and haven't even touched Bayonetta 2. I have played and beaten The Wonderful 101 since putting down Bayonetta, so I am a little more use to the repetition and style of game Bayonetta is. For me, Naive Angel Mode definitely makes Bayonetta 3 even more of a must have game. The fact that they felt the need to create a censored mode means that they're pushing the boundaries with the fan service in this entry even more and I'm looking forward to that.
  23. I've got you and DL added, so I can join in later if that's still the plan.
  24. Great races Thursday, and finally had the chance to race again on Shroom Ridge during these sessions! I'm hoping next week we'll have eight new tracks to race on, but who knows.
  25. Do you have a time in mind? I'm fine with 10pm on which ever day the next wave releases.
