  1. @purple_beard: Ah man, I wanted to go to 12:45am. But I will guage with you if you can. As for the banana item we'll see. I am trying to remember if thtlat is a single item or a part of food recovery. Yes, you don't recovery from bananas in this game but it is food, right?
  2. Just regular Smash night for this Sat, nothing special. Unless someone got a theme or an idea for that night.
  3. I was thinking about this night this week and I realized something, that in the back of mind there is this nagging drain when I do back to back game nights (MK8. Friday Game Night, then Smash Saturday) Something about these nights when I'm in all 3, I feel mentally drained. I have ignored it figured, it's the week I had but it happened again another week where I was fine till I was doing back to back again. This is funny to me cause, I'm usual filled with lot of energy mental and physical wise. So I think my limit is 2 nights a week. Whether that's Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday or back in the day Thursday/Saturday. So I might not be up for a game night tomorrow. I can't say when I'll let you know if I'm up but seeing as those nights don't exactly happen at 10pm ET, I will update on Discord at 10pm ET.
  4. The teams for for SpringFest is too cute for me take seriously. DL doesn't do too cute, cute sure but I draw an imaginary line at too cute, sorta make makes me cringe, almost. Well, I am gonna go Bear Cubs cause they look the least too cute or cute and I don't bear cubs irl are that cute, right? What a weird one to go with, I would of been fine 3 different type of flowers these current teams almost have nothing to do with spring. They really couldn't think of anything else but these?
  5. Just beat FF7 Rebirth. Posting here cause I'm up and free to play in a game night tomorrow. Seeing that attendance here depends who's available and how one feels, as much as I want to suggest a game, it won't matter sadly cause whoever shows up may may not have game on a suggestion or game to commit to play. I didn't realized said a few months back at near the beginning of this year, I am open to play anything. Well, might as well still stick to that for tomorrow night. Just so I don't have an expectation on what I want to play and end up we can't play cause we don't have the players or someone is not in the mood to play a certain game. Tho, my only exception to play anything is Tetris Connected and F-Zero, those games are not my cup a tea to play or for certain lengths. Also, it seems like when there's no other games or player to play, it defaults to that. Just letting you guys know in advance with that. I'll order the pizza, no I am serious I am ordering pizza tomorrow night.
  6. Won't be on MK8 tonight. Last night I made to the end boss of the game in FF7 Rebirth, compared to end boss in remake, this one is a little easy. Tho, back then, you had to fight 4 bosses back to back to get to the end boss, This time around it's 5 and they were not only a cakewalk for me but fun. Anyways, it took awhile with cutscenes and those bosses to the end boss so it was already getting late last night add on top this end boss tho I know I can beat it, there's one annoying attack the brings the whole party's HP to 1, if I don't have an ATB stored, it's a game over if I get hit before I can strike back or heal. Now thinking about there's a materia that can help me with 1hp thing and get free heal without ATB. I think if I add that to a few characters I can live long enough to beat the end boss. This 1hp left attack happens when the boss losses half it's HP, but I normally die almost everytime right when I deplete 75%. As I said I feel so close and fought that boss a few times, that I know what have to do but had no counter measure for that 1hp left attack.
  7. Ah, yes. You, Surge and Krazy were wrestling talking after the last MK8 Night. Slipped my mind and also the reason why Krazy is not playing this weekend.
  8. @Shadow118: Aw, that's awesome that you won the giveaway and also the first time winning something. My irl friends and the my online gaming friends know and I guess I sort of brag it. I win stuff in raffles most of the time. Ppl say I should play the lottery but I no real interest to play for a while and see what happens. Anyways, cool get and hope you win more stuff in life for raffle and giveaways and the such.
  9. It's Team Smashdown this Saturday and I plan to be in it. Krazy shared in our last MK8 Night that he won't be able to participate that weekend. So who is left and most likely available to play: @purple_beard, @Link, the Hero of Dreams, @TheBarkinHyena, @The Albraskan There's also Chippy on Discord on our MK8 nights. I recall Reowatch saying he owns Ultimate and is not a bad player. Now note to Al and I will mention this Chippy thru a mention on Discord or just straight out ask on Thursday night. We need 4 players, no more, no less. so tho I am asking more than what is required, incase if any cannot make, at least those I think might be available and down for a Team Smashdown, we have back up options, if we don't have enough players, it will either postpone to next week or no Smashdown this month. So whoever the first 4 who says here/Discorf and/or arrive in the arena come Saturday night, that is locked and will proceed with those players. Thank you.
  10. Still don't know why my heart skips a beat anytime I see anything Thousand Year Door related but here I am, Tho, my mind was playing tricks on me in this trailer, I don't recall opening being animated. (It's been a few year since I last played TTYD, 2 years to be exact) It's greatly appreciated. Thought I had to boot up my Gamecube to be sure but thanks Gamexplain for comparison. May 23rd can't come fast enough despite how many times I have played this title. I use to start a new game on b-day but haven't done that in a few years.
  11. Team Keyboard won! Guitar was the popular vote. (expected) The pre-Splatfest conch shells was won by Team Drums. And Team Keyboard won all the clouts in the normal, pro and Tricolor Turf Wars. Overall scores are 180 for Team Drums, 190 for Team Guitar and 500 for Team Keyboard. We won a little over 2 to 1, what a massacre of a landslide win, huh? At least each team won certain moments when it comes to votes, pre splatfest conch shells wins and then the actual turf wars. There was a new animation for the total scores, before they just stacked the score by section. This time it was a bar graph showing the total scores. I actual like that.... well animation wise. And oh yeah, at half-time for the Splatfest, they said Team Keyboard was in the lead.
  12. That's a wrap for me and this weekends Splafest festivities. (Ends less than hour of this post) What I have to say was the most interesting part outside my initial really fun play, was the tricolor turf wars. The stages they went with was Flounder's Height, it actually made for an interesting match more so for anyone experience level and almost literally anyone can win attacking or defending. Well, I would say say it's more 60/40 attacking winning. There were only 2 teams that competently defend and cover turf effectively. No matter the stage, most players can defend and cover turf, 80% of the time, win or lose. But I feel where the beacon is is why the attacking gets the beacon more easily than not, not often than not. To be exact with my words. You can get the beacon as many times as you like, the more you go to it the easier each attempt duration in getting the beacons lessens. So during this splatfest it is imperative a little more than usual to attack the attacker for the beacon as soon as its got. (well of course it's a lot better if you are near, to get the attacker immediately) So before it it is possible for defender to win if one team get both beacon or each team gets a beacon but because of where the beacon is again, the defending team seems to spread so thing so winning when a beacon is lit is almost impossible to win on Flounder's Height. Despite the above said this is a lot more fun cause you really have to pay to your surroundings more in covering turf and defending the beacon. I can't say there will be more matches like that, it really depends the stage and how the place the beacon. And there's been some interesting ones but Flounder's Height it the most so no matter how the next stages will be for Tricolor turf war, unless they really shake up the placement of the beacon, Flounder's Height is the most fun I had on Tricolor turf war... ever.
  13. I played the splatfest for a little while, an hour in total. I actually had fun for the first time that I can genuinely remember in Splatoon. Experiencing that feel made look back that yeah, I play this game cause it was fun but I was truly loss in the moment of moments of play. So that's one factor, another choosing a team I didn't care for the outcome also played against other teams was nice, instead of facing your same team over and over again. And the last factor, are the fizzy bangs, that follow you like Yoshi eggs during the match. They are miniature firework you can throw for effect and I think damage? Over the course of match how much you can hold will increase, I thought the max was 5 cause I got a prompt on-screen to throw the 5 I had but then I realized another way to accumulate fizzy bangs is by kills. The max I got was up to 7 on me so I don't know the real limit of how many fizzy bangs you can hold. Yeah, that new little element with this new mini fireworks with the previously mentioned factors really changed my mindset in a way I haven't felt about Splatoon in a while. Each of those factors were great on their own but come together it was something magically experience moment by moment. Oh yeah, I was also new but familiar weapon too, not sure much that influence this new version of fun for Splatoon 3 but I hope this continues. I already play all weekends for splatfests but I think this will help my stamina and mood overall. Looking forward to hos this Splatfest will go moment by moment, if these factors bring theese fun factors to the surface of play and not just I am playing and if I have fun, I will have fun.
  14. The year this thread was made is when the white OLED came out and the release of Metroid Dread. Speaking of Metroid...when MP4, huh? 2 years before this thread was made as the Switch Lite. So yeah, rumors without any confirm sure made this thread revolving door of information over the years. I hope this will soon put to rest by the end of the year at least.
  15. Maybe another week I might not make (it is not FF7 Rebirth this time!) I am seeing the new Ghostbuster movie Thursday night. It is just under 2hr long, seeing it just before 7pm. And theater is 20-30 minutes from my place. So I might be cutting it close to come in on time. See if I am seeing this movie, I can pull myself way from FF7 Rebirth. Actually just this weekend the strong pull the last 2 weeks is easing up but I am not gonna admit that. Also, better to post now before the forum downtime late Thursday afternoon, lol.
