Not sure how I feel about steering assist from MK8D being brought over. I get it for MK, but kind of feel like it could be a bit game breaking for F-ZERO. Maybe I just need to see it in action? Hopefully it doesn't give people using it a noticeable advantage over those that aren't or if you're using it, you'll only get matched with others who are using it.

Since we played TETRIS 99 last week (along with F-ZERO 99)... I just want to mention that if we ever play Tetris again, TETRIS EFFECT has a really cool co-op mode, where 3 people work together to take down a boss (4 if one player is the boss. Though, I haven't fully grasped how to play as the boss) *See video below*

This game goes on sale quite a bit on all platforms (Switch/PS/Xbox/PC/VR), and with cross-platform multiplayer, it might be worth picking up when it is. If you're into Tetris, I highly recommend TE. It's truly an EXPERIENCE! Also, it's very accommodating to all skill levels, with modes where you won't game over when tetriminos reach the top of the matrix. TE is truly my dream puzzle game. I'm a huge fan of Nintendo's bit Generations (JPN only GBA) / Art Style games (DSiware/WiiWare) and I've always thought it would be cool if someone made a puzzle game that had over-the-top trippy/chill/relaxing music and atmosphere, and was just Tetris, because why not? The closest that came to this I felt was LUMINES and I've always thought it'd be cool if they took this concept and made it Tetris. I still can't believe my dream puzzle game got made. Of course, it's from the guy behind LUMINES. Now don't get me started on the music in this game, but damn, it's so good (My fav. has to be "You and I" A.K.A. the Dolphin Surf stage)! *Full OTS Here*

Oh...Sorry for gushing so much about TE. 5HBKUxR.gif ...But yeah... If you're into Tetris (regardless of your skill level), I'd highly recommend picking up TETRIS EFFECT when it's on sale.

Just gonna leave this here for anyone interested, since what I mentioned in a previous ⬆....

    Team Keyboard won!

Guitar was the popular vote. (expected)

The pre-Splatfest conch shells was won by Team Drums.

And Team Keyboard won all the clouts in the normal, pro and Tricolor Turf Wars.

    .... .... ... *awaked silence*  Umm...Congrats to Team Keyboard! :)

I wonder if Team Keyboard won because more people actually play keyboard/piano (It's very common to take piano lesions as a kid)? Though, most likely it's just, because Big Man. As with Team Guitar, it's the "cool" instrument that people wished they could play, so it's not surprising it won the popular vote. ...But hey, at least Team Drums won conch shells. :v

  4. I watched the first 2 eps of X-Men '97 and this is good stuff. I really want to see more new Marvel animated series in this style. :)

I like what they did with Magneto in this new series and I'm interested to see how this evolves. I can't help but feel it's kind of a missed opportunity not having new eps available on Sat. mornings like the original series, though that doesn't mean you can't just watch them on Sat. mornings, which I will definitely be doing. If you like the original series or are just a  Marvel/X-Men fan, I'd highly recommend this if you have Disney+.

I grew up on 90's Nickelodeon. It was regularly on in my house as a kid. Hell, I still reference stupid jokes from 90's Nick (mainly from All That) and still have this 90's Nick alarm clock on my nightstand that I got for Xmas as a kid, that has all these whacky-ass alarms, with one of them being the Nickelodeon jingle. So...I kind of had to watch this and it's truly some FUCKED UP shit! I knew it was going to be bad going into it, but not this bad. The rabbit hole just kept getting deeper and deeper. We already knew Dan Schneider was a F'ed up weirdo, but I didn't realize he was every kind of terrible person combined into one. After watching this, it's absolutely disgusting that he was at Nick for as long as he was before they finally fired his rotten ass. He should have be fired over a decade sooner (He's literally the reason my Amanda Bynes is the way she is now), but better late than never, right? After this arring, of course he's out here denying everything. This guy better have bodyguards when going out in public after this, because I feel like people are going to see him and just start beating the piss out of him... I'm dead serious! After watching this, It really makes we wonder if anything happened at Disney, because it's not the first time something like this happened in Hollywood. ...Like, there's whole Shirley Temple thing, which I shouldn't even be bringing up (PLEASE! Don't look it up if you don't already know). Man, I'd really hate to be Nickelodeon night now.... Ooof! Need I mention their week-ass statement on the matter that was in this? I pray there are going to be some massive changes in the kid's entertainment industry with all this coming out, if there hasn't been already. Hey, at least there was some good that came out of 90's Nickelodeon, like Rugrats, Hey Arnold, The game shows. etc. ...Pretty much anything animated/live action that D.S. wasn't involved with... Minus Ren & Stimpy (don't get me started on how F'd up that show is, which some eps not allowed on Paramount+ and all the F'ed up shit involving John K.).

Ep 3 is supposed to have Drake Bell (interview) and I'm not sure if I'm prepared for that (don't even get me started on more recent shit with him). Ayway, if you were a 90's kid and have Max/Discovery+ or access to Discovery ID viva live TV and/or one for Discovery's TV apps (via TV provider) this might be something you'd want to watch. Just be prepared to go down a dark rabbit hole.

I watched the final 2 eps with Drake Bell telling his story and... ... ... ... ... 😱😭

This is most likely the reason why the more recent stuff that happened with him even happened in the first place, but it still doesn't excuse what happened. This rabbit hole already got way too deep and way too dark, but man, it just got waaaay deeper and even darker. I absolutely feel so bad for the guy. IDK how Nickelodeon is going to recover from this bombshell. I mean it's all over the media. Just Google Nickelodeon and you'll be flooded with all of this. I wouldn't be surprised if Nick went on damage control and started purging everything D.S. was involved with from TV, P+, and other streaming services. I feel it's going to take a VERY LONG time for Nick to recover from all this. ...And it definitely feels like there are going to be some MASSIVE changes in the kid's entertainment industry do to all of this coming out.

  7. Big ooof! ...Ep. 1 hasn't even released yet! Hopefully this doesn't mean bad things for a season 2, which they apparently have plans for.

Since he wiped all his socials, he really must be in some serious shit, which is a shame, since he's a big fan of the original series and because I heard X '97 is supposedly really good.

It's kind of hard to want to go back and play the monochrome version of Dr. Mario on Game Boy when we already have the NES version on Switch. I wished we would have gotten Yoshi's Cookie (specifically the NES version) instead. I know it's more considered a Yoshi game and they want Mario games for MAR10 Day, though Mario is in it. Plus, need I mention the whole SMB universe? :P  IDK why Nintendo hasn't re-released this since the Wii VC. I wonder if it's do to some weird licensing issue, especially since we never got the SNES version on the WIi VC? While the NES and GB versions were published by Nintendo (developed by Tose), the SNES version was published and developed by Bullet Proof Software (a predecessor to the now Blue Planet Software. Both which, were founded by Henk Rogers, of the "Tetris rights" fame). Both the GB and NES versions say licensed from Bullet Proof Software on the title screen, so...

Yoshi's Cookie is such a great little puzzle game (I think the NES version is the best)... and that music! :)

  10. I picked this up the other day at my local bookstore... *see tweet (X post) below*

I noticed this at the front counter and picked it up just to take a quick look. When I did, the lady at the counter told me it was the last copy they had left. Since it was the last one they had in stock and since it just so happened to be the cover with my favorite PKMN on it (See all 4 covers HERE), I had to get it. This was put out to celebrate 25yrs since Pokémon hit NA. It's a huge nostalgia rush reliving the PKMN craze of the 90's. If you were one of these PokéCrazed 90's kids and/or a PokéFan you might want to pick up a copy (it's a good lengthy read), especially since it would make a great coffee table book, or I guess I should say, "magazine". Hopefully scalpers aren't having a field day with these.

i'd hardly consider myself a pokemon fan anymore (i haven't played a game since SuMo jesus that was a while ago) but i do have to say i'm pretty intrigued by another Legends game, even tho i thoroughly hated Lumiose City the first time i played X y; if the original ever goes on sale (haha) i am considering playing it just bc it looks fun but i have a hard time wanting to give TPC my money when i think they keep putting out shit games and winning for it

since the release date isn't until next year and no gameplay was shown, i have tentative hopes that it won't be bad........

I'd consider myself more of a casual Pokémon fan nowadays. I was super into the whole PKMN craze of the 90's and and fell out of it after G & S on GBC. It wasn't until the whole 25th Anniversary and the release of Pokémon GO (I still play regularly) that stared to get me interested in PKMN again. I still haven't bought or really played a mainline game since G & S released back in the day (Not including getting Blue Version on the 3DS VC).

  11. So... What are we playing exactly?

@alienboyva It's weird how your example pics used the same font for the part number as mine. I don't remember what the font was. I do thank you always for these thumbnail overlays.

Oh, I  actually just cut out the number from your thumbnail, since I was mainly just using it to get the size for the thumbnail. :D

*BTW, dId you save the thumbnail as a PNG? Just wondering if this is a YT compression thing with thumbnails or not, because the glow makes the text in the Party Game Night logo look soft (a little blurry in Ninfora). It's not a big deal though. I was just curious.

  12. New Splatfest announced...

OK... I think it's obvious what team I have to go with, since... :P

image.png.defa22029627d8ae76f024550bab050a.png  rjsxpbT.gif  <- Not me, BTW... But, yes, I can do the stick spin thing, if you're wondering. LOL!

*I started playing drums in band in the 5th grade. I continued playing in middle school, and in high school I was in concert band (your standard band class) / marching band (was on the drumline).

I can also play piano, though only one handed (This is from learning mallet instruments as a percussionist in band in MS & HS)

First I get to rep aliens in a Splatfest and now I get to rep drummers?!!! 🤯 I see what you're doing, Nintendo.

  13. @TKrazyO Now that I see the Party Game Night logo used in a thumbnail, I'm not sure if it works that well (maybe it just needs some drop shadow?). 🤔 I thought maybe a template (similar to the MK8D TNT one) might work better, so I came up with this... Feel free to use it... Or not.

    Template:

    Spoiler

I tried not to take up too much space while still making the logo prominent and legible for when YT uses smaller thumbnail sizes. Hopefully you find there's still plenty of room to work with when creating a thumbnail.

  14. Well, that was pretty much what I expected... Mainly just content updates for their mobile games.

That TCG Pocket app looks cool, but I IDK how I feel about spending $ to just digitally collect PKMN cards (you get 2 free packs a day, which is nice). Sure you can battle, but it's supper watered down. I assume that's because of their other TGC app they have were you can fully battle people online and get cards from physical booster packs you buy in-game at no extra cost. Speaking of that, I wonder if they will also do this with physical booster packs for PKMN TGC Pocket

EDIT: Rewatching the TGC Pocket trailer, it looks like you can battle and trade online...? It could be really fun collecting cards and trading with everyone on N4A. :)

  15. I got to try the gmFOUIB.pngVision Pro today and it's a cool piece of tech (especially the eye tracking), but diffidently not worth the $3,500 starting price. Especially since the Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro can do most of what it can at a fraction of the price . Plus, need I mention it has actual controllers for VR gaming!? One thing I do really like about the AVP, is that knit head strap (so comfy, though it might could benefit from a top strap, mostly for longer sessions when using headset). While for me, the AVP did feel a tiny bit heavy, it still felt a bit lighter than my Quest 2 (better weight distribution and being thinner, I guess?). Most of the weight of the Quest 2 sat right on my cheekbones (OUCH!), which is why I had to ditch the stock fabric strap and get the official elite head strap (I wanted to get the one with a built-in battery pack, but it was a bit pricey). BTW, I saw a post on reddit where someone 3D print some adapters to use the APV knit strap on the Quest 3, which looked super comfy. Speaking of the Quest 3, I kind of want to get it since it has better lenses, a better screen, better FOV than the Quest 2 (it's also a bit slimmer), but IDK if it's worth the $500 upgrade just to mainly see things clearer + also get a slight comfort and FOV upgrade (I'm not really interested in the color passthrough/mixed reality stuff).  Plus, I’d have to buy a new elite strap as well, since the one for the Quest 2 isn’t compatible.  If you're wondering... Yes, I've tried the Quest 3.

Nintendo, what you doing, right now?!?

You really giving the west hopium right now with the release of Mother 3 NSO on Japan NSO. I have Japanese NSO account so I can technically play but man, what the hell Nintendo....Maaaaaannn!

Shortly after the direct I was hearing or heard Mother 3 was release for Japan NSO, not new to me here.

Just play it using your phone and Google Translate (via the camera translate feature). :D

  17. Pretty good Direct. Some good stuff, but nothing super amazing announced.

    - I was hoping we'd get a release for that F2P Pac-Man game that's supposed to launch early this year (It will probably be just a PR, with a launch trailer).

    - Nice to see Game Freak's Pocket Card Jockey on Switch (glad this was just a timed exclusive on Apple Arcade). That game is surprisingly really fun!

    - Cool to see MH: Stories on Switch with voice acting. I wonder if it will support the amiibo they made for it and if they will do reprints of said amiibo?

    - New Monkey Ball looks cool, especially the 16 player online. Though, that Sonic-style spin dash looks kind of cheap/game breaking? Hopefully it's not.

    - Cool to see Epic Mickey being remastered. The first game is actually pretty good. I wonder if it will have Wii pointer controls?

    - New World of Goo looks great! Cool that it has co-op and that it's an exclusive for Switch (for now anyway). Nice to see it sill has Wii pointer controls (IIRC, isn't the first game on Switch with pointer controls?)

    - Nice to see a new Fantasy Life (why do I feel like we already knew about this? It's probably just me). I know people really like the first game on 3DS.

    - Nice to see Rare dropping so many games on NSO. I guess we technically now have Rare Replay on Switch (including other Rare games already on NSO). :P BTW, good choice with using the Killer Instinct theme for that reveal. Mmm... SOOO GOOD!

    - Interesting to see a new Endless Ocean game. Odd that they'd bring back this game, over of new entries in other series Nintendo fans have be constantly asking for (I assume any bing IPs in the works are for Switch 2). Yeah... I know it's not developed by Nintendo (only published), IIRC AKIRA, who Nintendo have worked with multiple times in the past on various first party IPs, mainly downloadable stuff. I totally get the appeal of super overly chill/relaxing games, but I never got in to any of the EO games on WIi.
