@alienboyva: I wasn't the only where it felt some scenes were rushed. I feel it it didn't feel like that despite my expectations, I think this special could of been great with more fleshing stories with the characters more.
 
@Ridley Prime: That was a good call, whether or not hindsight was involved in having Tommy and Cat stay together like in the comics and their kid JJ. Similar to what I mention about the special felt rushed, the relationship between Cat and Tommy, didn't feel earned or genuine. I felt that more with Tommy and Kimberly (tho the show didn't heavy hand it, it was present and earned in some moments of the show) So tho I accept Cat and Tommy where they are, in my heart I am always seeing Tommy and Kimberly together. Why else put that on the 2017 MMPR, huh? But whatever; it is what, what it is.

Also another trivia factoid is Bryan Cranston connection with early pilot of MMPR, not only did David Yost got Bryan Cranston's last name for his character Billy; the connection with Bryan Cranston in MMPRR is that he was dressed as Snizzard in the pilot for MMPR. I feel that was a missed opportunity for Byran Cranston to play the monster again.
 
The only thing great in the 2017 MMPR movie was Bryan Cranston as Zordon.
 
Also, speaking of Cranston, Robo Rita referred to Billy a lot as Cranston. I think a Power Ranger first, that and she said, I will kill you or die. They couldn't say those words back in the original show.

Nice. With the mostly positive reception, I think this getting some kind of sequel or continuation is definitely possible. At least more so than Power Rangers 2017 with how poorly it unfortunately did at the box office, but with Once And Always being on a streaming service, was bound to get more views and everything, and any of the original cast would be happy to return again if given the chance.

Yeah, he was like the unofficial leader of the Power Ranger in this special and good reasoning outside his unfortunate in the original series. Outside of Tommy, he is the 2nd original Ranger who stayed the longest and in the final season with him not being Ranger but Rangers official scientist inventor. So huge props to David Yost for the return and picking up the mantle as mentor/leader for this special.
 
Most likely we get another special, when who knows but I open to more, if we can get more outside of it will make us money.

Comparing to the 2017 movie is of course better.
 
I guess I expected more from the plot, that let me down despite the closure, lore and memories of the OG Power Rangers.
 
A lot of callback but yeah, I'll leave it at that. I Just expected more don't what else more than what they show in trailers but to me on top of that it felt like all the callback and the story just moved to quick for my liking. I think that's that missing something I mean it wasn't bad and it was good either.

Glad I didn’t really get invested in this. Imagine paying for nonrefundable skins and stuff for a fucking beta. WB is a special kind of unethical business at times, who relies on their customers being stupid.

It was nice to find out earlier that the Zyuranger sentai that Mighty Morphin was based on is on Tubi.
 
There was some sentai before Zyuranger in the 80’s that they tried to Americanize, but wasn’t really a success. In the 90’s though it was a big success. Can thank the dinosaur theme of Zyuranger/MMPR for that I guess.
 
The Once And Always trailer threw me for a surprise with Rita. Her VA’s still got it, along with Alpha Five’s. I guess it figures they would give some in-universe reason for Trini being gone because of her actress while still paying homage to her, but it’s going to be an emotional ride regardless.
 
I heard earlier that JDF turned down being in this before he passed away (by some that knew him), so will take what I can get with whoever this other green ranger is. Amy Jo Johnson did the same. Would’ve preferred Jason too, but a mix between the old (Zack and Billy) and new (Rocky and Kat) of Mighty Morphin is reasonable, considering.

I was never that into Power Ranges, but I do remember watching parts of the first season as a kid and I had some of they toys from McDonalds. To bad they couldn't have done this sooner... R.I.P. Trini and, especially Tommy. T_T I would have loved to seem him back doing all his bad-ass martial arts.
 

 
It's kind of funny this gets announced, because recently I've been watching the original Power Rangers on Pluto TV and I absolutely love how cheesy and 90's it is.   BTW, they better keep that kick-ass theme song, and not just have this ochastrated version that's in the trailer. That theme song is literally the best part!

I didn’t care much for seeing the other kids turned into Shazam. With the first film it was tolerable to have one adult acting like a kid for most of it, but the sequel having a bunch of them I'd probably rather listen to keys scratching car doors.
 
The old 70’s TV version of Billy Batson making a cameo from what I heard was nice at least, similar to the old TV Wonder Woman making a cameo at the end of WW 1984.

I still got it. The Fusion ending artworks is still the best look for suitless Samus by far imo; out of the 2D stuff.
 
Didn’t quite get the under 2 hours 100% ending, but that’s my favorite Fusion ending Samus pose anyway.

The 2nd wave of Prime icons are out. Aside from more backgrounds, decided to get the Space Pirate icon, though not sure if I’ll use it.
 
Been replaying Metroid Fusion since it got added to GBA NSO last night, and what a ride it's been. Thought I would've forgotten more of it with how long it's been, but still remember everything for the most part.
 
Aside from Ridley-X whose fight was a disappointment compared to most other iterations of the character, I still think Fusion had some of the best bosses for 2D until MercurySteam got involved in the series. Restarted after my initial playthrough to go for a 100% speedrun to see if I still got it there, and then will see how I do again on a 1% playthrough.
 
Between this and my Prime Remastered runs, it really has been 2002 all over again, not to mention another golden age for the series with all this after having Dread.

I guess the original tweet of that clip by someone else that I posted earlier got deleted.
 
But yes, I did exactly that on my 2nd playthrough, saving me the trouble of coming back for that artifact later. Surprisingly not that hard with a little practice.
 
Also saw a clip by someone else where they got that one Chozo Ruins artifact without the gravity suit. It’s possible to get through the water and reach that room with just any suit, but takes a certain timing and positioning with jumps. Since I usually backtrack for everything in the Ruins in one fell swoop after getting the plasma beam though, waiting until I had the gravity suit for that one artifact was not an inconvenience or anything.
 
The aforementioned Phendrana Drifts one you have to go pretty out of your way for when backtracking though, if you don’t do the trick in the posted clip.
 
Prior knowledge of how to get the other artifacts makes getting them just a muscle memory thing like with any other item. At least for me, but I know they can be annoying to get for people new to the game with their first playthrough.
 
On the flipside to being a veteran of the game, some of the basic early bosses like Flaahgra are kinda boring now (on any difficulty) since you already know what to do with years of experience.
 
Prime 1 has still maintained its magic for me otherwise though apart from that and some of the padding.

Ooh, cool! Great to see it's not the unplayable garbage of PBR, whose only fully-evolved rental Pokemon were the likes of Beautifly and Dustox.

I don’t usually pay attention to them anymore, but one rumor I heard was that Prime 2 and 3 would not get the visual update like 1 did, which if true will be disappointing, even though they would still be ported and remastered in terms of controls. I want to see Dark Samus and Ridley's other appearances in 3 get the light-up treatment, not to mention the other regions in Prime 2 and planets in Prime 3. Sanctuary Fortress in 2 and SkyTown Elysia in 3 come to mind. Even the dreaded looking Pirate Homeworld could look more interesting with a visual update.
 
Aside from 1 being my personal favorite of the trilogy, it will have benefited the most from the remaster touch at the end of the day with how it aged the most in certain areas, but I’d like the sequels to be given as much effort. Prime 1 originally sold the most, so in a way I can understand giving it an exceptional amount of attention for a remaster, but if you want the sequels to sell more than before at least, it makes sense to give them as much of a remaster as 1 got. If they’re lesser remasters though, I think it would be fair for 2 and 3 to be packaged together for $40, but we’ll see.
 
And if they're still serious about Sylux, it would make as much sense to reintroduce him through a Prime Hunters remaster, after his Prime 3 and Federation Force stint.
 
 
It may be premature to talk about this also, but lowkey curious as to what potential content updates Prime 1 Remastered could get. For instance, there’s no Fusion Suit skin unlockable like there was in the original. What if instead of bringing back the Fusion Suit, they capitalized on the Dread hype and have the Dread Suit as an unlockable instead? Saw someone mention the idea of boss rush like what Dread got, but not sure Prime really needs that but if we get it, won’t complain. Same with another difficulty option, challenging as hard mode already was still.
 
There may be some small updates the remaster will get aside from extra content, to fix some small bugs. Saw a clip of someone falling outside of the map in Chozo Ruins through a gap in one of the top walls, though looked like you actually had to go out of your way to find that. Also maybe fixing that little mirror in Chozo Ruins so you can see Samus’s reflection again? Depending on what kind of development timetable the new Retro team was on, I can understand cutting corners with some of the little things like that, but would be nice if an update fixed any of that.

But as usual, Batman Beyond fans (like myself) eat crow. There was also the cancelled Batgirl film Keaton was in, but it was cheap and not integral to the universe.
 
Just remembered, if the Flash film also has Affleck and Bale Batman as rumored, then WB will have copied the multiple Spider-Man idea, while executing it worse no doubt.

I get where you are going with that...but I think the whole multiverse thing is getting overused now...   The Flash tv show had it... Then Spiderman, then Dr. Strange, then Spiderverse...  Its cool to have the past actors who are still around to give that touch of realism to a multiverse concept but at some point, it's too much.  Keaton getting some love after the cancelled Batgirl is a good thing though...  The Superman and villian return play is interesting.  I liked Supergirl in the Justice League cartoons and thought the CW show was solid for what it was.  Not sure about this new spin.
 
I really hope GotG 3 is really good.  I was so so on the first one but really liked 2 a lot.

Creed III I hope doesn't suck.  First one without Stallone in it.
 
Oh yeah, I hope Fast X doesn't suck.  Last one went too far.... jumped the shark on unbelievability... and that is saying something for this franchise at the moment.

Ezra Miller aside, maybe why I’m not as excited as I could be is that the Flash film’s just Snyder leftovers in the grand scheme of things. Feels like desperate nostalgia bait with how they’re having Keaton Batman there. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by the Spider-Man reunions with No Way Home, but the older Spidey returns felt better planned and hyped up from the start.
 
And the only Supergirl I really care for is the blond mainstream one whose a cousin of Superman, not this elseworld one whose apparently his daughter.
 
The James Gunn plan for DC I’m much more optimistic for. Good to see the Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 trailer finally on that note, and that other video was by far the best marketing the Mario movie has had going for it so far.

... THAT aside, I would hope for Prime 2 and 3 remaster as well, and even Hunters in an ideal world, but I don't really know what to expect, and will just make due with my favorite of the previous trilogy for now. There was this though which is a fair criticism to point out I guess.

Man, that Ridley render really takes me back. Everything old is new again. With Metroid Prime and Fusion in the spotlight again, it almost feels like the glory days of the Game Cube. Really takes me back to the heyday of Oldsider. Cheers, friends. We've been through a lot of life since then.
