  1. Also, can we please, please, PLEASE get Earthbound Beginnings ported to something other than the Wii U?

  2. Seeing as how they recently teased FF VII as "coming soon" I'd figure any Final Fantasy stuff is just dates for the already announced ports. Though to be fair I'm totally buying FF VII on Switch.

  3. This time last year I remember a few third party publishers were getting on the social media hype bandwagon for what ended up being a mini direct, but nothing came of that at the time. So not sure I would expect anything from just a retweet, guys.

  5. Gonna have to rewatch the Direct later because my stream kept cutting out for some reason. Quick thoughts right now though: - Super Mario Maker 2 looks great! - Boxboy is back! I'm quite behind on the series though—I still need to play the third game. - What a tease with the Smash Ultimate update. - Dragon Quest XI S is so far away! Still looking forward to it though. - Oninaki from Square Enix seems like it could be interesting, and I'm always down for an RPG. I'm kind of getting I Am Setsuna vibes from it though, which was overall a disappointing game. Have to keep an eye on previews and impressions for this one. EDIT: Ah, yeah it's from the same developers, so yeah I'm not 100% sold on their track record. - Fire Emblem: Three Houses: to be honest I'm not loving this setting/backstory, but the battle system still looks good. - I'd totally forgotten Daemon X Machina was even a thing. I'm down to try the demo though. - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice on the Switch: interesting. Been meaning to play this for a long time, now I guess I'll give it a go on the Switch. - Astral Chain: I liked what I was seeing in the trailer, and hearing Platinum Games is developing only further piques my interest. - Link's Awaking remake: yeah I'm down for a LA remake. It's not a Zelda game I remember super well so I'd gladly replay an updated version.

  9. Part of me is expecting it to just hint towards more info on the impending release of the slate of titles that were announced late last year. But I'm certainly crossing my fingers for surprises here. Anyway, there's a lot I'm hoping makes the cut for tomorrow but in particular I hope there is some progress update on Bayonetta 3.

  11. Nice. It's about time. Looking forward to some substantial information and a release date for Fire Emblem, given that it's supposed to release Q1 this year. Though the lateness of the hour casts some doubt on that now. Anyway, finally having a good look at the game will be hype for a lot of us, I'm sure. Aside from that, my wish list is, as always, filled with things with niche appeal: Kid Icarus 4. Golden Sun 4. Metroid 5. Warioland 5. Xenoblade Chronicles HD. All of the stuff that will never happen. Heck, now that the Blue Bomber's back, maybe I can start putting my hopes in a revitalization of MegaMan Legends 3 on Switch. Or X9 or ZX3, for that matter. MegaMan 11 is amazing. Now Capcom just needs to do that for the other MegaMen. I would also be over the moon about a new top-down Zelda. Let's not let A Link Between Worlds be the last one, yeah? For third-party stuff, we seem overdue for an update on Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX. And with Half-Genie Hero done, I'd expect Wayforward is moving onto the next Shantae game at their earliest convenience. But I know that studio isn't exactly made of money, so maybe we can't hope for the next Shantae too soon. Also, I'm really hoping to see Shin Megami Tensei V. It's been two years since that little teaser in January 2017. It's time to show something. I'd also be curious to hear the details about Nintendo's plans to make Nintendo Online more enticing. SNES, N64, and GCN games on their current service would be a good start. Better yet if they would implement a proper virtual console service like they SHOULD. I have a feeling Switch themes are coming. And of course Smash Bros. We'll almost certainly see some Joker footage, and possibly a reveal for the next fighter. It would make me real happy if it were Rex and Pyra/Mythra or Shantae. But it'll probably be someone from Three Houses. Fire Emblem is a big brand for Ninty now, and given that the DLC five were chosen by corporate Nintendo rather than Sakurai himself, there's no way Three Houses goes unrepresented. Though I think the rationale for Erdrick is pretty strong, too. Whatever it is, I won't get my hopes up. I'm aware that my tastes are more niche than Nintendo is looking to cater to.

  12. I finish the game the same month it came out and I played this before the main game. I wouldn't of done that if this game wasn't prequel to the main game. So despite that I sorta see where characters origins in this game fell a bit short. To me what really shine was Jin and Lorna and the refined gameplay with switching blades. That's what really stood out to me.
