  1. It's a bit unfortunate that it happens with a Nintendo controller since they've been much more durable in the past but i'm not surprised because i imagine hard controller plastic wouldn't have worked with how thin/sleek they wanted the switch to be

  3. Went up to a Poke Stop, caught some Pokemon including a very nice Pidgeotto. Evolved it into an over 1200 cp Pidgeot. It's now the strongest one I have . Also was able to get a couple of gifts. Got 'evolve a fire type' at a Poke Stop. I don't have any that are ready to evolve. Kill me now. (not literally)

  4. I'm not either. Separating all of the shows. $5-$7 a month per service adds up. Was thinking of going with CBS All Access and maybe Netflix (if I have to), maybe Hulu. But it depends. This is after my Directv ends. I like the selection of the 3 of them.

  5. Passed by the VOA board at work today and someone asked “Jeff Bezos is worth $143.1B, why can’t we get a raise”. Gotta track them down and shake their hand.

    Disney-Fox, "a done deal."

DOJ was the one that gave it the OK, provided Fox’s 22 regional sports networks get sold in 90 days as the only thing needed to be divested. The deal needs approval from other countries and from a Bloomberg article I saw, China could be a problem given the current spat going on. Edit: And here’s said article: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-07-27/disney-investors-worry-beijing-could-be-tricky-fox-deal-hurdle

  7. I suppose, but even MKWii was kind of BS with the items at times. Maybe MK8 steps it up a bit but it's part of the challenge of playing the game. Granted, the really ace players are usually far enough ahead that a bout of item spamming doesn't deter them too much or they're good enough at item management and course navigation to make up the difference provided there's enough left in the race to do so. But ultimately, not everyone wins every race all of the time even when we have tourney conclusions that have certain players consistently take top honors. It just feels like he only gives the tourney a chance if there's an opportunity for him to be #1 and only #1. Too many sub rank placements and he gives up even though there's a chance he could pull things together throughout the rest of the tourney or at the very least still place in the Top 3. There are tourneys where I've gotten top 3 at the end of it all and tourneys where I've been in the bottom 3. On average I tend to place between 3rd-5th if I had to guess; good nights or bad nights the journey throughout is still fun just playing the game with others. I guess I just don't get #1 or nothing mentality that I'm assuming is the issue. Just my two cents, I suppose.

  8. I spent this week playing Spirit of Justice (it was $12 last weekend) and... I'm pleasantly surprised? I passed on the game since it looked like 'Dual Destinies, but now you can see what the dead saw." But the game seems aware of DD's tropes and I've actually been genuinely surprised at the turns the cases took. About to start the last case. So wheeeeee.

  10. Maybe, though I have an inkling of a feeling that items and item luck has a bit to add to that.

  11. The F-Zero medley is pretty great. I like how it samples Fire Field for the part when the vocals kick in.

  12. No real translated to English worthy news but I like this F-Zero medley music update, tho. Takenobu Mitsuyoshi has composed music for SEGA games like Shemune and Virtua Fighter. Going full circle with Sega helpled developed the last console F-Zero game, cool.
